COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“💢” Kamuro-san who was treated like a big fool, very furious right now!

After buying food at the shopping street and bringing it back, Kamuro-san left angrily.

Because of Kamuro-san’s hard work, Hachiman was previously planning to take a nap and then go find food, but she brought meal herself, and left in his dorm.

Very furious, so forgot.

It should be said that she is worthy of being Sakayanagi’s confidant, and it is really easy to use her.

Free food!

It was also at time that he saw that he had received a text message from Sakayanagi on his phone.

This is actually quite understandable.

[I want votes from Ichinose-san’s and your class. The price is 5 million.]

by Sakayanagi Arisu.

[Transfer 2590 yen to my account]

“....” Hachiman, ’Um....Kamuro-san must have gone back and reported to Sakayanagi.’

His mood became very complicated on being asked to send money.

”I can give you the ticket,” Hikigaya added another condition, ”But, after you are promoted to student council president, I have an additional request.”

[What do you want?] by Sakayanagi.

The message from Sakayanagi that Hachiman just saw was from 5 minutes ago, but she must be looking at her phone now, so replied immediately.

And Hikigaya-kun also began to reply.

What do you want?

What he wants is simple.

“After becoming the student council president, you have the authority to expel one person.”

[This may not be what you really want, Hikigaya-kun] But Sakayanagi immediately refused.

But it’s not heartless, there is an explanation.

[Although this is prerogative of the student council president, if school removes the students who have been carefully nurtured, board will be dissatisfied.]

’She had such considerations, it’s not a complete rejection.’ Hachiman then continued typing.

“If that’s case, then don’t worry, because school will definitely allow the list I provided.”

As he said this, Hachiman typed out a person’s name.

On Sakayanagi’s side, although [The other party is typing] appeared twice at top of the chat box, it seemed that he edited text and then deleted it quickly.

It was not until one minute later that other party actually edited the complete words.

[This person, it would be better for school if he was removed.]

Sakayanagi calmly agreed to request.

[Then let’s deal. I need to exchange some cash these days, and requirement is exactly 5 million.]

[• _ •]

Sakayanagi sent an emoticon, but Hikigaya received a direct notification of the transfer.

[Your account has received 5 million personal points, the transferor is Sakayanagi Arisu, and current balance is 36.796 million.]

This is a reasonable value.

Received payment on 1st of this month. 9 million from Manabu, 200,000 from Ichinose, and 2 million from Ryuen.

Now his account has become very beautiful.

[It’s a pleasure working with you!]

Hachiman sent a sincere message to his benefactor.

[ 凸(⊙▂⊙✖ ) ] Sakayanagi sent him another emoticon and just stopped contacting him.

However, her mood was not as calm as when she was talking to Hikigaya-kun.

Time goes back to 10 minutes ago.

It took a little longer than expected, but Kamuro-san returned to Sakayanagi, who was waiting alone in the room, playing chess because she was bored.

She noticed Kamuro-san’s expression, who looked as stern as usual with an impatient expression on her face.

“You don’t seem to be in a good mood,” Sakayanagi said softly, “Have you completed the mission?”

Kamuro-san doesn’t like when Sakayanagi calls anyone ”you” and it seems that she gives enough respect, but it is doubtful whether it is true respect or not.

And will someone who is so smart and has such good grades respect her?

Kamuro-san didn’t believe it.

So it’s just social etiquette.

Rather, even though Sakura was at the bottom of class during these days of study, she must have been secretly regarded as a stupid pig by Sakayanagi.

Kamuro-san still has some ideas, “I’m here to report the results,” she said with a straight face, “Hikigaya Hachiman has decided to take action.”

”Is that so? That’s as expected.” Sakayanagi nodded. But then she added, “But even though your secret was revealed, you didn’t side with him, did you?”

“???” Kamuro-san. ’Fall to him? This means Sakayanagi actually accepted that I was her dog!’

’Ah....But I would never consider Sakayanagi as master!’

Never!! Her acquaintance with Sakayanagi was accidental.

Kamuro-san has a kleptomaniac tendency.

The first person to discover that she was stealing things was Sakayanagi.

When she saw Kamuro-san and found out that she had stolen things, used this secret to threaten her and made her become her dog.

Knowing opponent’s secret and then threatening them is not a sophisticated method, but it is a seal that is very beneficial to Class A.

Because Kamuro-san didn’t steal once or twice, she is a kleptomaniac and is quite interested in forbidden and immoral things, so if she is not stopped she will definitely continue.

The school is a closed place, and once Kamuro-san is discovered stealing, the negative impact on Class A will be huge if matter is exposed.

A person with kleptomania is probably empty inside, and they need such ”stimulating” behavior to fill themselves, so Sakayanagi made her a dog.

This created a situation where Kamuro-san was needed, and because she was needed like this, she listened to Sakayanagi and even stopped stealing things during this period.

Although Sakayanagi was often excessive, Kamuro-san was actually internally enjoying it.

“Hey, what the hell are you telling Readers?! Do you want to get punched again?! Is that it?” Kamuro-san was very disgusted.

But even so, she only admitted that she was Sakayanagi’s dog, but was not her master.

“...pufff...hahahha!!!” Readers.

But even among dogs, there are good and stupid ones.

She just did stupid dog things when gone outside to complete her mission.

Because she was threatened by Hachiman. It’s simply heartless.

If Sakayanagi found out about this kind of embarrassing thing, it would be even more handsome and she might even laugh at her for being stupid.

She was fooled by Hikigaya, and now got ridiculed by Sakayanagi. This is really too much!

What a day!

“....It seems like you came back in a hurry,” Sakayanagi suddenly said when she noticed even more ugly facial expression on her pet, and shouting to who knows, “So you are uneasy.”

Kamuro-san looked at her strangely, because she had deliberately pretended that nothing had happened and came back, but did Sakayanagi still notice the slight change in her bad mood?

”Sakayanagi, you actually pay a lot of attention to me,” Kamuro-san felt a little flattered.

“No, I just felt your words about Readers and everything is very stupid,” But Sakayanagi sighed softly. “It seems a pity. I just tried you a little, but you still didn’t complete the task.”

“.....” Kamuro-san. “What nonsense are you talking about? How could I not complete the mission?”

“Really?” Sakayanagi suddenly smiled like a little devil, “Then you can tell me whole truth.”

“Why would I? You don’t even understand the fact we are being written down in a book.....” She crossed her arms, feeling quite rebellious now.

“💢” Sakayanagi was mildly annoyed now, her eyes narrowed sharply, “Look, I had enough of your out of the world fantasties. Kamuro-san, you were caught by Hikigaya-kun when you revealed the secret, but you never mentioned it at all. Or did you think of betraying me after you found another master?”

“.....” Kamuro-san.

“Put me in second place? It seems that you are very naughty. You don’t know who gives you 200,000 yen every month!”

Shit! Shit! Shit!

Day after day after day.

Only then did Kamuro Masumi realize that reason Sakayanagi sent her to carry out the mission of Hikigaya Hachiman was that she had no trust in her ability to complete it.

She had long expected that Kamuro-san would be tricked by the other party, so she also expected that she would be counterattacked by Hikigaya.

Sakayanagi is as usual... hard to like.

So, Kamuro-san had to reveal that she was threatened by Hachiman after being recorded, and then she revealed that Nagumo was mastermind.

“Yeah, everything is normal,” Sakayanagi completely knew what was going on, “I want votes from Ichinose’s class, so I need to put her in a desperate situation, and Hikigaya-kun can do that. And he probably doesn’t want to see Ichinose drop out of school.”

“But there was an unexpected event,” But Kamuro-san continued like a robot, “Because Hikigaya has already saved Ichinose. So, Sakayanagi, your plan went wrong.”

”Eh?” Sakayanagi blinked softly, “You are not joking, are you sure?”

“Yes,” Kamuro-san then reported that Hikigaya had broken into Ichinose’s class group, and... She had already self-destructed in the class, but ultimately chose to stay in school.

“.....” Sakayanagi Arisu’s fair left hand held the chess piece.

She had always thought of herself as one of the best chess players in the world.

But, looking at it now... in this incident with Ichinose, she was actually used as a pawn by Hikigaya-kun!

“Meow! Meow?”

“....Hikigaya-kun. I admit that I underestimated you. The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. I really want to have a real duel with him.”

“Eh? Fight again. Didn’t you already lose this time?” Kamuro-san said from the girl’s side.

“....” Sakayanagi looked over with a cute smile.

Kamuro-san quickly shut up.

She was just a little excited just now because she rarely saw Sakayanagi getting frustrated.

But after noticing Sakayanagi’s eyes, she immediately gave in.

Sakayanagi began to think.

’Ichinose-san had now been eaten by Hikigaya-kun, the benefits I could get from this would be very few, so it was impossible for me to get votes from her class for free.....’

’If I don’t take the votes from Ichinose-san and Hikigaya-kun sells them to Nagumo, then I will probably have no chance of becoming the student council president.....’

After thinking it over, Sakayanagi started to send messages to Hikigaya.

She promised the other party 5 million to buy votes for two classes.

“Although fruits of the incident have been divided, and Hikigaya-kun has gained 5 million yen and the friendship of Ichinose-san’s class, matter is not completely resolved.”

Ichinose could blow herself up in class, and her dark history would spread directly to the outside world.

So rumors won’t stop. Still a possibility that Ichinose will be hurt.

“But, since Hikigaya-kun dared to make such a promise and directly sold the votes of Ichinose-san’s class, I think he has made a foolproof plan.”

Sakayanagi put down the phone she was using to contact Hachiman and muttered.

“Oh, and Kamuro-san?”

“....What?”

“Stop reading comic books. You will only get yourself into an existential crisis. We are real, this world is real. There are no ’Readers’ or ’Author’ determining my next words.”
