COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Time passed quickly and Ichinose finished her coffee. ’My heart calmed down too!’

”Ugh... Hikigaya-kun, now if I want to continue staying in school, what should I do?”

Ichinose has a dark history, and she feels that it has been exposed.

Otherwise, she will bring danger to class unless she drops out of school.

“Then it depends on whether you have courage. It means exposing your own secrets.”

“You mean…” Ichinose frowned cutely.

“Ichinose, do you really think your dark history is serious?” Just look at Hachiman’s own past.

“Isn’t it serious?” Ichinose was puzzled.

“It seems that you have strong social skills, but you are still not as good as Kushida-san,” Hachiman decided to let this child be educated in the dark world, “Have you heard of things like getting pregnant with a teacher’s child, cheating on each other, and compensated dating?”

“....” Ichinose. ’what are these?’

It was beyond her understanding.

“This is information obtained from people that Kushida has contact with.” Hachiman quickly sold out the little angel Kushida, when meeting with her superior version, “This is dark history of the classmates she met in junior high school.”

“So... yours is just a small matter. As people grow up, they will encounter many temptations and wrong paths. If we completely deny it, then it will be almost impossible to have good people in the world. So, Ichinose, have you ever thought that you have only been imprisoning yourself?”

This made Ichinose silent again.

After hairpin theft incident, she did indeed isolate herself from the world.

When she was taken by her mother to confess her crime, she realized how serious the mistake she had made was.

At the same time, she also knew that her mother would take to confess her guilt.

On the one hand, she had indeed done something wrong, and on other she crossed her two fingers, hoped that no serious consequences would be caused.

Once theft is exposed, it will be recorded and may even be reported to the police.

That’s why she needed to ask the clerk for forgiveness.

Although her mother was harsh, she also hoped that her daughter would not ruin her life.

So she doesn’t blame anyone but herself. It’s her own problem.

Although truth is clear.

But Ichinose is still very conflicted about this dark history.

“Can I really be forgiven?”

“The clerk has already done. So the one who hasn’t forgiven anyone now is you.”

“Meow! Meow!”

“Besides, do you think your class will be safe after you leave it? There will only be a group of sheep without a leader....”

“But Hikigaya-kun, didn’t you say you were going to our class?” Ichinose said hurriedly.

“Regarding this, in fact, during forest exam, Ryuen also invited me, rather say, he is now working hard to gather 20 million points to buy me over.”

Forehead.

This made Ichinose start to think.

Because winner of the first-year class in forest exam was Class D, they received a total of 12 million points from everyone.

20 million can buy one person, so Ryuen only needs to collect another 8.

“The person behind your past getting exposed is Nagumo. It’s impossible for your senior to betray you so easily, so she was probably arranged to get close to you from the beginning. Ryuen’s class was involved in this matter, and they must have received a large sum of money from Nagumo...”

That’s it, Hachiman now stayed quiet.

’Does this mean that Ryuen-kun’s class is almost able to collect the 20 million yen to buy Hikigaya-kun over?’ Ichinose was out of her cash right now.

Actually, no.

Because gathering 20 million is not an easy task for poor Class D.

The previous 12 million was divided and spent, and there is not much left.

Ryuen’s class may be able to collect money in this operation, but Hachiman is Ryuen’s creditor.

And if Ryuen wants to buy him over, of course he has to pay off the money first.

So there is still some difficulty.

But for Ichinose, it is better to let her understand this way.

Hachiman didn’t want to see Ichinose leave school.

On the one hand, he felt that if Ichinose left school, her future life would likely be more difficult.

At the same time, he didn’t want to see a good person leave with such regret.

Of course, most important thing is that Ichinose is more capable than Kushida.

Then possibility of high salary in the future will be better.

Moreover, Ichinose was able to punish herself for her past theft and locked herself in her room for half a year, which shows that although she had done bad things, she wanted to change her nature.

There is nothing better than admitting one’s mistakes and correcting.

And her personality is not the type like Kushida who is sometimes stupid.

Even without such written constraints, she will keep her promise.

This is a high-quality woman.

As an ordinary high school boy, Hikigaya-kun couldn’t resist charm of the archangel.

Of course, this is an exaggeration, so Hachiman will respect other party’s choice in the end.

A forced melon is not sweet, and if it is not voluntary, then you will definitely file for divorce from him in the end.

Therefore, Kushida felt that anyone could do it as long as they were responsible for raising him, but Hachiman actually had requirements as well.

“So, it’s better for everyone, including yourself, if you stay,” Hachiman was in a good mood, “Next, tell your companions about your dark history.”

“I’m sure they’ll accept you too.”

”...” Ichinose, “Hai! Hai!”

It’s just that her expression is a little embarrassed, as if she is a little ashamed, regretful, and has complicated feelings.

This is probably because she feels ashamed about past events and also feel uneasy about the attitudes of her classmates.

These are all manifestations of her nervousness.

Hikigaya-kun glanced at her and said with a normal face, “Then please invite me to join your class group.”

“• ? •” Ichinose didn’t know what she just heard for a second. ’Hikigaya-kun is a student in Class B. Does he want to join my class group now?’

Um....Hikigaya-kun had previously said that he wanted to come to her class.

Although she was a little confused, Hikigaya went in.

Because Ryuen’s class was collecting money to buy someone, she felt pressured.

Shibata: I’m a little worried about Ichinose’s condition.

Kanzaki: Let’s wait a moment. Although Ichinose didn’t respond, she just doesn’t want us to cause trouble.

Kanzaki: I have contacted Hikigaya, and he will reply when he has news.

Shibata: When?

Kanzaki: ……

And class continued the discussion.

At this moment, a hint suddenly appeared in their eyes.

[Hikigaya Hachiman joins the Group]

???

Then.

Students in Class A discovered that Hikigaya not only joined their class group, but even posted something.

It appears to be an audio clip.

Shibata seemed to be a little curious, so he downloaded and opened the audio first.

Moment.

[This is my room, Ichinose, some things can be said directly.]

Shibata: Wow! Is Ichinose in Hikigaya’s room now?

Kanzaki: Shibata, this is not point you need to focus on. Be quiet!

Kanzaki also downloaded the recording.

Quickly, he heard something more.

This is Ichinose’s own story.

Cut! Cut! Cut!

Ichinose: Sorry, everyone.

Ichinose finally realized that Hikigaya was recording the conversation between them and posting it in group.

And although she agreed to this kind of thing, she really felt that just playing a recording or something was not a good idea.

’I have some doubts. Even if I had not agreed to Hikigaya-kun’s investment, he would still use this strong method to keep me...Woo.Does Hikigaya-kun really not want me to drop out of school?’

’Bad Honami! Bad Honami! Now is not the time to think about such things.....’

Ichinose quickly pulled herself together.

“Everyone.”

She started the group video.

“Actually, I’m a criminal.”

And what Ichinose said after bowing hit everyone’s heart directly.

Although, Hikigaya-kun posted the recording in the class group.

The classmates also clicked on it and started listening, but before they could hear the specific content of Ichinose’s dark history, she sent them a group video.

Then she bowed to everyone.

And words that Ichinose said after she finished bowing hit everyone’s heart directly.

The opening of this sentence is like self-destruction.

Because who would judge themselves like that?

But Hachiman remained quiet.

Because this is Ichinose’s own decision, or in other words, she needs to stand up and walk out of it on her own.

So he kept quiet.

Looking at the phone, Ichinose’s expression was painful and sad.

She then told everything about her poor family background, her single-parent family, the fact that she stole, her inner regret, and the fact that she had been closed off for half a year.

And just like her sad expression, as she reveals her feelings, she will relive her sad past and her heart will be shattered once again.

Although everyone in the group was stunned for a moment, no one in class spoke.

Or they certainly didn’t blame her, or she was just too kind and that’s why closed herself off.

Yes, you can say that she is a poor girl, can say that she didn’t feel enough remorse when she stole, and you can directly blame her for this incident and decide whether she can continue to be the class representative.

But one thing is obvious to all: after entering school, she has not hurt anyone and is a kind angel.

No one can question this.

But the atmosphere became extremely terrifying.

Amikura Mako: Ichinose, do you want to jump from the window?

She felt uneasy because of Ichinose’s self-exposure and rumors of dropping out of school in the recording.

Chihiro-chan: I don’t want you to drop out of school!

Kanzaki: If you want to drop out of school, I will take care of the class from....shit....Give me a sec (Editing)

Some students also listened to the recording.

Then heard the key words.

Ichinose wants to drop out of school.

Even deliberately alienating them.

Oreki: @Hikigaya Hachiman, from My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu, aren’t you going to say anything?

At this time, Oreki also directly called out to Hikigaya-kun, writing a text message in group.

“....” Hikigaya Hachiman: Calm down.

Hachiman: @Ichinose. Please tell me more details. Don’t scare me.

“…..” Ichinose, who is currently in group video.

Of course, she also saw Hachiman message @ her.

’But he is obviously here now, why does he still need to speak in the group?’ Ichinose took a deep breath.

”Can... let me talk for a moment?” Ichinose quickly calmed everyone down, as to stop everyone from writing a spam message, “I’m sorry for my past. But, this school is also very important to me, and meeting you all is a redemption for me. I want to do something for you all and hope to have a good high school life with you all.”

“I hope that everyone can graduate as Class A in the end. So, although it is shameless, everyone, can you walk with me to the end?”

“…”

The atmosphere in class seemed to stop instantly.
