COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

But what about this exam?

Hachiman just gave a small glance of his dead eyes to a boy named, Yamauchi Haruki whose thoughts were now very similar to Suzune.

Please see the rules.

The exam will be repeated until the first and last place are determined.

Last place will be expelled.

This means that first and last place in the class must be selected, people who receive protection and expulsion must be determined.

This time’s exam... cheating is not allowed.

It must be decided that one person in the class will be a dropout.

But if people in your class don’t make a choice, then a random selection will be made, and everyone will be in danger.

“You think it’s unreasonable, right Horikita?” Chabashira deliberately pointed her out, because she was complaining the most, “As a teacher, I think so too. That’s why I was stunned for a while. But since it’s already been decided, there’s nothing you can do to resist. You have to obey the rules and take on the special exam. There’s no other way.”

As a teacher, she also fought back, but failed.

“....” Suzune who couldn’t even resist.

“How can this be——”

The students who had just been excited about the reward of protection from dropping out of school immediately became depressed.

Because... on Saturday, someone will disappear from class and be expelled.

This kind of thing is really hard to imagine.

’I have been trying so hard, why is this happening? What’s even more dangerous is that I may be expelled from school!’ Even Suzune was among the depressed ones.

Chabashira could only continue, “I will continue to explain the rules. The number of votes received by students who are praised or criticized in the class will be fully disclosed at end of the exam. In other words, voting results of all members of the class will be announced. However, who voted for whom will never be announced, and it will be anonymous.”

Indeed, if exam is held in this way, it can only be anonymous.

Not to mention votes of praise, the issue of who voted for criticism against whom will probably become a thorny issue in the future.

“Phew----” Among the depressed students, there was one who breathed a sigh of relief.

That’s Karuizawa.

Before, when she used the protective color of the hot girl leader, she had a bad relationship with boys in the class.

Later, she was recruited by Hikigaya.

The attitude towards classmates has become much more relaxed.

In addition, she had a written test with old test questions from previous semester, and she used her status as a student council member to take a photo of the test paper to help everyone pass.

So even if someone hates her, there is no risk of being expelled.

“hehe~~~” There’s also Kushida-chan, who secretly rubbed her nose as if she had already won the exam.

But Shinohara, a member of her team, has become a more dangerous person.

During the previous island exam, when her underwear was stolen, Shinohara had a strong sense of justice and presided over it for her.

Karuizawa was also grateful to the other party.

But at that time, Shinohara stood on opposite side of the boys.

Although it was eventually determined that it was Ibuki who perverted.

However, there will probably still be people who are dissatisfied with her.

In addition, due to the rumor incident that just ended, Shinohara’s reputation has also declined.

In this case, Shinohara might receive more criticism from boys in the class.

So, girl has become dangerous.

There are two results for this exam: anonymously selecting most popular person and anonymously selecting most hated one.

This exam is very special.

And the voting is anonymous, so no one knows who voted for whom.

The voting members are classmates, and their qualities vary greatly, so there will definitely be people who want to use this opportunity to settle personal grudges.

So, it will become a crisis exam.

Everyone is at risk of being expelled from school.

In order to ensure my own safety, it is possible to guess who will be the candidate for expulsion.

It was supposed to be like this.

“Sensei--” At this time, Horikita Suzune, who was just criticized by Chabashira-sensei for not being able to read the atmosphere, continued to raise her hand, “Excuse me, are we the only first-year students facing expulsion from school in this exam?”

”Ah... that’s right, didn’t the seniors have it before? So why does it have to be us? This, this is not fair!”

Ike Kanji, who was sitting in front row, stood up and said.

But he was probably mistaken, he just thought this kind of exam was scary because there was a high chance that people would hate him and vote him out of school, so he was wondering if he could avoid taking the exam.

For example, unfairness.

So get it away quickly.

Because he felt that he was dangerous too.

He felt that he was not very popular in the class and was often called disgusting by girls.

So if not Yamauchi then he was in danger.

“Nothing bad for seniors,” But Chabashira-sensei crashed everyone’s hope in an instant, “This time it’s only for you first-year students.”

“Because this is a special exam, at this time of year in previous years, there were several dropouts in each grade. But we only have one in our first grade. If you say it’s unfair, then you must understand, Life is not fair, it never will be. Just look at what happened to Sakagami who graduated from Class A.”

Bomb!

“Holy shit! Were teachers also born here like us?”

“No, look she said he graduated from Class A. But now, Ryuen...hehe..”

“... to just take withdrawal exam like this... isn’t that a bit unreasonable?” Ike Kanji said in a less loud voice and sat down.

“This is school’s opinion. It should be said that you will encounter such a situation in the future. The Human Resources Department wants to lay off employees, so who will be laid off? This kind of thing cannot be avoided by refusing or doing strikes,” Chabashira’s mood was dark today.

“…” Suzune sat down.

Hachiman knew that she was probably feeling a little relieved.

So as long as not every grade has to take this kind of exam, her brother will be safe.

However, Hachiman feels there is no need to worry about Manabu.

Manabu is just a little more honest, a little more saintly, and a little more restrained, and has more classmates who hold his back.

To sum up, there is actually no need for Suzune, younger sister, to worry.

After all, Horikita Manabu is really capable.

After relaxing and listening to the rules explained by Chabashira, Suzune began to face this exam honestly.

She wrote down names of the dangerous people of exam in her notebook who could potentially vote her out.

Since Hachiman was not far away, he could directly see the words she wrote.

Karuizawa Kei.

Sato Maya.

Nene Mori

Onizuka

Kayako Ishiku-----

Looking at the name written above, Hikigaya wanted to smile, and he continued to peek inside her little notebook.

Next page.

????

Because Suzune is so cute, others might still be worried they will be retaliated against by other students in the class and fill out the criticism tickets.

But, now Suzune listed the names of students who were at bottom of the list according to their grades.

Haruki Yamauchi.

Sudo Ken.

Ike Kanji.

Shinohara Satsuki.

These are students who ranked last in the written examination that just ended.

But isn’t it a bit too much to decide to expel someone based on just one performance?

When judging a person, one needs to look at all aspects of the person.

Just like this school’s assessment of student class placement is also based on multiple aspects such as academic ability, motor skills, social adaptability, and potential.

However, since students in the class vote themselves, their personalities and character must also be taken into consideration, because it is impossible for them to look at others maturely and fairly.

’Therefore, Horikita’s evaluation is still too one-sided.....’ While thinking about this, Hachiman discovered that Suzune had actually crossed out Sudo’s name.

Profound. He understood.

She now took into account Sudo’s extraordinary athletic ability.

If Sudo dropped out, the next sports meet would be very disadvantageous for the class.

So she also considered all factors comprehensively.

Row——

However, when Hachiman was thinking this, she also removed the name of Shinohara Satsuki.

This seems to be because during forest exam, Karuizawa group fully cooperated with Hachiman’s request, so she probably felt that Shinohara was actually more obedient to the class.

In this respect, it can be confirmed that she contributed to the class.

In addition, in previous sports, she assisted Karuizawa and the others in the horse-riding war competition.

She still contributed.

Then only Ike Kanji and Yamauchi are left on Suzune’s list.

“There are other people who are most likely going to receive huge criticism...so, I won’t be expelled by Karuizawa-san and her group....” This now seemed to make Suzune’s mood brighter.

“…”

“…”

’So, that’s what you cared about?...Here, I have been looking at Horikita and trying to guess what she is thinking.... Result...’

“.....” Suzune was just making sure she was well protected, and there were other pigs ready for slaughter.

“.....” ’I actually thought you were cute before!’ However, Hachiman already knew the plan to pass this exam.

In other words, he had already done the assisting work long, long ago.

After Chabashira announced the rules, everyone in the class seemed to be in a panic, but there was one person, the one who least wanted this exam to happen in the class, who stopped her.

“Sensei, is there no way to avoid being expelled from exam?”

This is Hirata-kun.

Although he is a gentle all-round man, it is true that he is a person who cares about class unity.

The rules of exam require that someone must drop out.

But he still couldn’t accept the departure of his companions.

So he stopped Chabashira who was about to announce end of the class meeting and let the students think on their own.

“Of course,” Chabashira put away her high heels that she was about to lift, and looked in one direction.

Sitting in that position was the boy with dead eyes in past, but now with the buff of wearing glasses, he has become a little popular in the class.

Hikigaya Hachiman.

“???”
