COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Then let’s fucking vote!” Student Ike was good at reading the atmosphere, said immediately, “Raise your hands if you want to drop out Yamauchi. I’ll raise my own hand first!”

”Ike...” Yamauchi just felt that Shinohara was unreasonable, but now even Ike is going to expel him.

It made him unbelievable.

But, Ike no longer wanted to pay attention to this idiot, he knows his kanji pretty well.

When Hikigaya said he wanted to drop out Yamauchi, Ike wanted to help his friend, who just spat in his face, and thought he was jealous that he could talk to girls.

Your kindness is simply taken for granted.

So, Ike was willing to let Yamauchi drop out of school, and even wanted to delete the memory from his mind.

“Well. I think everyone’s opinions are different, so can we take a vote?” At this time, a girl suddenly suggested.

Hachiman looked over, she was not instructed to speak at this time.

However, he did recognize her.

She was the girl who stood next to Yamauchi during last Horikita rumor incident.

She was obviously a passerby girl with low IQ.

But she stood up now, probably because felt that her grades were not at the bottom, but were not safe enough either.

So when confirmed that Yamauchi has dropped out, she is safe.

But EQ is still too low.

If really ends up that someone will have to drop out of school, will she really be safe?

Not really.

Because if they come out to suppress Yamauchi now, and if they fail to suppress and he is saved, then next person to be chosen to drop out of school may very well be these strangers with no faces or dialogues.

If stands out, it will be conspicuous, so the chance of dropping out will also increase.

“Then let’s fucking vote!” Hachiman also wrote Yamauchi’s name on the blackboard, with newfound energy.

“• ? •” Yamauchi. “Oi, what on earth is going on here? Miyamoto, you gotta explain to me br----”

“Shut up, don’t call me your bro!”

“What? Why not?”

“Yo, Hikigaya. I vote for Yamauchi too!”

????

“Everyone vote this book with your heart’s content and fuck school for giving us a shitty exam!”

For a second, Hachiman’s moment was just too strong, and no one dared to even interrupt.

“• •” Sae-chan even let out a grin.

“If there are less than 20 people, then we will reselect. If more than 20, Yamauchi will be the one to drop out, and list of people who will receive praise votes from our class will be chosen by drawing lots.”

“When time comes, everyone will write name of the person chosen by lottery in column of appreciation votes.”

“That is to say, if we want to choose last place, then we will also decide first place!”

“Everyone has a chance!”

Is there such a good thing?

Those who receive most criticism votes will be expelled, while those who receive most praise votes will be given one chance to be exempted from the expulsion penalty.

Originally, everyone thought spot would go to Hirata or Kushida.

Because two people have the best interpersonal relationship.

But now it seems that if it is a lottery, then wouldn’t everyone have the opportunity to get [protection] from being expelled once?

“Hell, yeah!”

“Hikigaya is bloody awesome!”

“I am so glad he is in our world!”

The class became lively.

Less than 10 seconds.

More than 20 people have already raised hands to vote for Yamauchi.

“No, wait you retards listen to Me!” Finally, one person couldn’t hold inside himself anymore.

That’s Hirata Yosuke, a gentle mother.

But now this person is no longer as kind and gentle as before.

With a bang!

Spat! Bam!

The boy kicked a table in front of him. It flew a distance away and fell heavily to the ground.

Everyone looked at him in shock.

Because no one expected that Hirata, who was usually gentle and kind, would have such a violent side.

”Hikigaya, Ike, and Azuma, you are so wrong!” Hirata kicked the table away and stood up and got angry.

”There is a solution that can solve the problem, but you only want to expel your classmates!”

”Hirata!” Yamauchi felt that he was being besieged for no apparent reason, but if he did nothing he would be expelled from school, so he ran directly to mother’s side.

He hugged Hirata’s waist directly.

“Hirata, I don’t want to be expelled from school! Come on, save me! Just like before, I was bullied by them!”

Bullying refers to the incident in Horikita’s rumor where someone wrote on Yamauchi’s desk, cut up his indoor shoes, and threw garbage into his mailbox.

At that time, Hirata did not investigate because he did not want to know who in the class was targeting whom, which would destroy harmony of the class.

But now, Hirata has also comforted Yamauchi.

“Have you been bullied? Well... indeed... Yamauchi, I don’t want you to drop out of school either,” Hirata cooed directly in his ears, using a very soothing voice just like a breeze.

So, does that mean he is standing on the opposite side of classmates who finalized Yamauchi to drop out of school?

“…” Mii-chan.

What are you doing? Don’t forget your gender so easily, Hirata, you sick fuc--

Although she was also shocked by Hirata’s sudden anger, Chabashira felt that she had seen this scene somewhere before.

She recalled.

’That was when school’s rules were exposed, and in order to limit students’ self-discipline during the behavioral test, Horikita Suzune started challenge first, and then Hikigaya launched a fierce attack, directly targeting the troublemaker Koenji Rokusuke.’

’Now, Koenji has become docile, but it is Hirata who has become troublemaker.....Oh, how the night changes....’

“I too support Yamauchi’s withdrawal.” Horikita Suzune, the former top attacker, stood up and opened her cold mouth, “Why do you have to think so much about this kind of exam, Hirata-kun?”

She took initiative to stand up, walked up to podium, and stood next to Hikigaya, who gave her a nod.

“Removing Yamauchi will be good for stability and overall quality of the class. There will be no point deduction. If no one drops out this time, how are we going to deal with risk of taking the next exam?”

“Giving up safety of a mountain and dropping out is a terrible risk. Hirata, is there something wrong with your brain?” Now, Suzune had no respect left for this sick Hirata-kun.

Chabashira nodded secretly...’It should be said that Horikita Suzune is still as powerful as she was earlier, if not more so....’

’This will be added to the report card sent to her parents....’ Chabashira heard the voice of Bomb Hikigaya-kun.

“Hirata Yosuke, expelling Yamauchi is opinion of all students, and if you want to protect Yamauchi, then you are standing against everyone.”

“And if your mind is still not clear because of the weird cocaine you smoke on a regular basis. Well, Hirata, I appreciate your contributions to class in the past, but if you insist on doing what you want, I will just put your name down on the list of expulsions!”

“.....” Chabashira. ’Hikigaya Hachiman, as expected, there were no surprises.’

’He once fired directly at Koenji, but now he even started to attack Hirata. This guy is still full of poison and has not changed.....’ She took her own notes, well it certainly helps with filing reports to school.

So what about Yosuke Hirata now?

When Hikigaya told him that he will have to drop out of school if he wanted to protect Yamauchi, he remained silent.

“.....” The students around him were silent at this time, waiting for Hirata’s reaction.

You can say, Hirata’s sudden outburst scared them.

Afterwards, even though everyone was safe after Yamauchi dropped out of school, Hirata still wanted to comfort like a girl.

People don’t quite understand.

Could it be that Hirata didn’t see how Yamauchi usually attracted hatred and acted stupidly in class?

Besides, once Yamauchi drops out, everyone will unite.

Otherwise, everyone will be in a state of panic about who should be expelled from school.

“.....” But Hirata still didn’t say anything.

Hachiman just glanced at him, “Then today ends here. Dropouts will be born from Yamauchi and Hirata.”

“I decided to be Hirata first because you are having an itch to protect Yamauchi. But, you can still change your mind before the exam on Saturday, Hirata.”

“I will just assume that you are sick today. And, you are still everyone’s beloved, mother Hirata.”

“But if you want to protect Yamauchi, then, unfortunately, Hirata, you should choose to drop out of school. Because this is also your plan to protect Yamauchi, right?”

“Don’t think I’m bullying you, but now you can’t see clearly or don’t want to believe it.”

“Even if you are paranoid here, it will not make any sense for our future. So, you should wake up before it’s too late and you are permanently gone from our world!”

“There is no point in deceiving yourself, Hirata Yosuke!”

Second half of the sentence is a bit difficult to understand.

“.....” Hirata who was indirectly called a bastard, came under heavy attack.

If he wants to protect Yamauchi, then another option, which is for him to choose to drop out of school.

Hirata POV

So...do I really want to drop out of school?

Do I really want to leave here for Yamauchi? And what did I get by leaving here? Did I do anything that could atone for my sins?

Or am I really going to wake up from that empty dream?

So, under everyone’s nervous gaze, I just sat down in silence.

3rd POV

“Then I hereby declare this month’s special exam is temporarily over. Everyone is free to move around in the next few days of class meetings, but we will no longer discuss the class vote.”

“The students who will receive the random votes of appreciation will be selected by drawing lots on Saturday.”

“Then, Yukimura-kun, special exams for this month are almost arranged, but can you continue to organize everyone’s study next?”

That means you have to take extra classes and study.

The written exams just ended.

Although no one failed, there were a lot of poor students, so people still knew own scores.

Hikigaya’s attack power is very strong now, and his classmates don’t have the courage to challenge him.

He could even hit Hirata, so he could definitely hit others with no second thoughts.

“???” Kushida-chan, who got a little scared just now, wasn’t Hirata-kun under her type of people category?
