Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1189 - 627: Changes in One Month

Now Xu Xin truly understood why the mindset of the survivors living within the World Tree could undergo such a drastic transformation.

It had been a month since they brought back the technology and people from the underground world to the World Tree.

In this month, he truly learned what it meant to live a heavenly life.

A modern city had been fully developed on this land.

On the outskirts of the city, high-grade soil continuously produced an endless supply of exceptionally tasty high-grade food, and the pastures gradually took shape, providing a steady stream of food for the survivors within the World Tree.

Various orchards and fruit fields reaped harvests quickly under the blessing of the World Tree. Even though it had been a long night, the growth of crops and fruits did not slow down at all.

The city’s center underwent even more significant changes.

To call it a city might be an exaggeration; the area indeed was not that large.

After all, the total number of people living in this region was just under a thousand, and a thousand years ago, some villages probably had more people than here.

But even with so few people living here, nothing could stop everyone’s determination to expand the city.

With Li Wenxi’s ability, resources were inexhaustible, giving everyone endless confidence.

Numerous grand-looking buildings sprang up from this area.

Meanwhile, ample copper, silver, and gold mines brought this newly built city into the true electrical age.

During this long night, the lights in the city flickered brightly at all times.

Everyone had almost forgotten the outside danger, lost in the idyllic bliss of this paradise.

Including Xu Xin.

This past month, he’s been living...

Too comfortably.

Not to mention the life-and-death struggles from before, there was no comparison. Even compared to the peaceful life a thousand years ago, this place was like a paradise, making people feel relaxed.

If one didn’t consider the factors outside the World Tree, there was almost no pressure here.

The productivity was so abundant that everyone here didn’t need to strive for survival to enjoy a high-quality life.

Of course, people can’t just sit around doing nothing, which led to the rise of this modern city.

He increasingly felt that having such a place of refuge made him feel...

If those alien invaders didn’t provoke them, they wouldn’t need to provoke the aliens.

Reclaiming Earth and whatnot...

Ultimately, Earth was never humanity’s Earth.

Throughout Earth’s long history, humanity was merely a ripple, never Earth’s master.

This group of people needed just a place to live.

Of course, there was an undeniable blood feud between the alien invaders and humanity, but the question was... does humanity today really have the capability to fight these alien invaders?

During this time, the weapons factory operated almost every second, mass-producing various modern weapons and equipment.

In this period, Ma Hongwei also researched heavy weapons that could be equipped outside the World Tree and installed them below, with a range that could almost cover the entire Crystal City.

Zeng Tao was also doing well and became increasingly passionate about weapons research. In this month, she enlarged almost all ballistic weapons and optimized them so they could even be carried around and deployed on the ground for launch.

Even...

At the farthest edge of the World Tree world, dozens of treehouses were transplanted to serve as... nuclear factories.

That’s right, they also mastered the most powerful weapon in human history and were in continuous production.

Although there were only a few hundred survivors within the World Tree, each survivor with a treehouse was equivalent to a super-strong factory.

No need for other workers, assembly lines, or overly complex equipment.

Within this month, their arsenal expanded at an almost insane rate, which inflated the mentality of every survivor within the World Tree.

Now, even members of the explorers generally believed these weapons could perhaps deliver a severe blow to the alien survivors, provided they were used in the right place.

For instance, finding their lair for a precise strike, their opponents might not withstand it either.

However, they had no plans to launch attacks on the other hemisphere of Earth.

Their mindset was almost the same as Xu Xin’s.

No one would do anything without certainty.

Moreover...

Xu Xin looked at his sister Xu Ying, who was sprawling on the sofa, furiously pressing buttons on a controller after previously tearfully handing over the choice to kill her to him.

”Brother, move aside a bit! You’re blocking my projection! Move further away! Why are you standing there? Be careful not to let the projection blind your eyes!”

A huge image over 200 inches was projected onto the wall, with part of it blocked by Xu Xin, casting onto his body and his face lined with black lines.

”Ah! Brother! Ah---!”

Xu Ying screamed, followed by a wail.

In the image, the character was smashed to death by a monster, and the blood-red words ”DEAD” appeared on it.

She died.

Oh no, it was her character in the game she was playing that died.
