Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1169 - 620: Rational Planning Within the World Tree (Part 3)

”Your treehouse is worth dozens of theirs.” Li Wenxi marveled at Xu Xin’s vast treehouse, exclaiming, ”You don’t even need any villa; your treehouse is already way better than a villa.”

”My treehouse is soon going to be in full throttle, manufacturing weapons and tools, right? If I had a villa to live in, I wouldn’t want to reside above a factory production workshop.”

Xu Xin shook his head and glanced once more at the treehouse that had accompanied him thus far.

”However, before heading out, I definitely need to get another good night’s sleep in this treehouse.”

Because his treehouse could provide a powerful ability: random amplification.

Random amplification is extremely necessary; you just need to sleep for three hours.

Moreover, sleeping for three hours within the World Tree, only less than two minutes pass outside.

Less than two minutes, gaining two kinds of super amplification, what a bargain!

”Hmm... You’re leaving again soon.” Li Wenxi, thinking about this, suddenly seemed a bit down, ”Still won’t let me tag along...”

”It’ll be fine when I return this time.”

”Hmm, okay.”

...

The two eventually chose to enter Xu Xin’s World Tree to rest.

”Sigh, it feels like it’s better not to live in the treehouse.” Li Wenxi said, touching the wooden grain wall of the treehouse.

”Why?”

”I feel tense as soon as I enter the treehouse, not very settled inside.” Li Wenxi explained, ”I got used to being nervous while staying in the World Tree, and as soon as I come back to the treehouse, naturally it feels... very unsettling.”

Could there be such a feeling.

It’s true when you think about it. Life in the treehouse is basically unstable; no one knows what kind of calamity will come the next day, or if they will survive.

For survivors, the treehouse might be more like... a prison.

If there’s a better place to live, the treehouse indeed leaves a shadow.

No wonder the survivors all agreed to move out of the treehouse.

However, Xu Xin had yet to experience leisurely life in the World Tree, his mind permanently tense, hence not yet experiencing such feelings.

”Alright, I’m also sleepy, let’s go to sleep.” Li Wenxi put an arm around Xu Xin and walked towards the bedroom, ”It’s long past bedtime.”

...

”Brother, wake up! Wake up!”

Xu Xin felt himself being shaken.

He slowly opened his eyes, seeing Xu Ying standing at the bedside, shaking him.

”You’ve slept too long!” Xu Ying said with some irritation.

Is it a long time...

Xu Xin looked at the window, it was already bright outside.

Ah... wait.

The sky here is always bright.

He raised his hand and looked at his watch.

”Ah, have I slept... for eighteen hours?”

Xu Xin said in amazement.

It was the first time he’d slept for such a long time continuously.

Including his former life, he’d never slept this long.

”Honestly... I came here ten hours ago! Sister-in-law told me not to disturb you and to let you sleep more, but you kept sleeping until now! I almost thought something happened to you!”

No wonder she woke him.

Xu Xin sat up from the bed.

”Where’s Wenxi?”

”Sister-in-law left a while back, went busy again. She seems to be planning on crazily accumulating resources over this period, then rest a while. Uh, I’ll head out first, you get dressed and come out quickly!”

Xu Xin got dressed and walked out of the bedroom.

”Let’s quickly go to the underground world and finish this last task of the stage.” Xu Ying urged as soon as Xu Xin came out, ”This task’s been weighing on my mind, can’t even properly relax!”

Indeed, it’s time to go to the underground world.

Time to witness those human legacies spanning a thousand years.
