Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1188 - 626: Because I’m Not Your Sister_3

”Besides that crystal, what other kind could there be?” Xu Ying continued walking along the stream, ”It’s a very powerful weapon. We only managed to create it using alien technology combined with Earth technology and resources. We can’t use it for now, so let’s not take it out.”

As she spoke, Xu Ying slightly turned her head to look at Xu Xin: ”Maybe when you take it out, that’s when I... completely disappear.”

”...Are you leaving this choice to me?” Xu Xin remained silent for a few seconds before shaking his head with a bitter smile, ”You really are...”

”You’re the most suitable choice, brother.” Xu Ying emphasized the word ”brother” heavily, ”I wouldn’t want to entrust my life to anyone else’s hands.”

As she spoke, she sighed and then smiled.

”I don’t have the courage, not brave enough to end my own life. Even though I’ve lived so long, I... Anyway, if the time comes when it’s necessary, you will make the choice for me, my dear brother!”

Speaking, she patted Xu Xin’s shoulder.

Xu Xin shook his head, afraid to look at what was inside, just storing it away: ”Do you think I can make that choice? You are my sister.”

Having to kill his own sister with his own hands, it’s too cruel.

”Of course you can make the choice, brother, because I’m not your sister.” Xu Ying smiled.

Xu Xin was speechless.

”Your real sister hasn’t arrived in this era yet,” Xu Ying continued walking along the stream, ”And I’m just an old monster who has lived for over three hundred years, destined not to coexist in the same time-space with your real sister, just a fake.”

Fake...

”I must die before your real sister arrives here.”

Xu Ying’s tone was somewhat downcast.

”Otherwise, not only me, but your real sister will also disappear from this world along with me.”

Two identical people cannot exist in the same time-space; otherwise, a paradox will occur, causing the world’s rules to directly erase that person’s existence.

It’s directly erasing the existence; no one will remember that person’s name, and all traces of their presence in this world will be wiped out.

”Don’t think you will forget us. If something like this happens, you won’t forget us.”

Xu Ying spoke to Xu Xin.

”Anyone who has experienced time travel won’t forget those whose existence has been erased. Don’t think it’s a good thing, because forgetting is a form of redemption; keeping such memories means living in pain forever.”

Xu Xin was silent.

She was indeed talking about herself.

”So, brother, act when it’s time to act, otherwise your real sister will be buried along with me.” Xu Ying’s light tone conveyed a heavy message.

”...What if you travel to the future?” Xu Xin pursed his lips and suggested, ”To a very distant future...”

”How is that possible?” Xu Ying immediately dismissed the idea with a wave of her hand, ”I don’t have the technology to travel to a very distant future; a jump of a thousand years is already the limit. Besides, given your current condition, living for a thousand years should be quite easy, right?”

”Then return to the past...”

”That’s definitely not possible either! Do you want the world to collapse again? Moreover...” Xu Ying gave a small bitter smile, ”In my current state, I can’t undergo time travel anymore.”

Is it really like this...

”Then... when will my sister arrive in this world?” Xu Xin asked.

”According to my brother’s words, it should be... three years later.” Xu Ying answered.

Three years later...

”There’s plenty of time, live in the now.” Xu Xin took a deep breath and smiled, ”At least, for now, you can still enjoy happiness with everyone.”

”Yes, you’re right!”

Handing over the bracelet seemed to lift a burden off Xu Ying, her entire state felt much lighter, ”I’ll go drink and celebrate with the others!”

Watching Xu Ying’s back, Xu Xin felt a sense of heaviness in his heart.

”... At least within this world tree, our time is a hundredfold more abundant.”
