Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 239: Chapter 218: Xu Xin’s Explosive Acting (4,700 words! I’m on fire today! I want votes!)_3

Xu Xin’s eye twitched: ”...So, what happened after that? Did you go up?”

”No, let me tell you, Brother Gu, it’s fortunate you didn’t encounter the people in that treehouse.” Ma Hongwei started talking enthusiastically.

”She wore a steel suit and rode a gigantic mutant cow, clearly a strong presence from the neighboring district. I specifically checked the Protection War rankings for people from 188 district next door. There are only four people, and just one is a woman named Wen Guixin. That woman to the north must be Wen Guixin! I’m not looking for trouble; I didn’t even step outside today because I’m afraid she’d come over and raid my home!”

Xu Xin: ”...If she’s that strong, does it make a difference whether you’re home or not?”

Ma Hongwei: ”Of course there’s a difference. I am...”

His tone paused, and he stopped talking, then said somewhat impatiently, ”Why am I telling you all this, you should hurry up and leave.”

He indeed has some backup.

It seems this person won’t be bothering Li Wenxi anytime soon; he doesn’t even dare go out, let alone try to kill Li Wenxi.

But...

”Brother Ma, I have a proposal. Would you like to hear it? It could help you solve the issue in the north.”

”What proposal?” Ma Hongwei perked up immediately upon hearing Xu Xin’s words.

”Actually, Sister Fei’Er is also close to us. She told me that during the rainy season, she also saw strange light spots very close by. That peculiar light is only visible from here. I actually came out to find Sister Fei’Er. I think I should be able to find her in the next couple of days.”

”So, what then?”

”We could collaborate to deal with the treehouse in the north. But, how about giving us that treehouse?”

Xu Xin naturally wouldn’t offer help for free; demanding interests may, in fact, gain trust.

”...Are you sure Lou Fei’Er can beat that woman to the north? I don’t see Lou Fei’Er on the Protection War rankings; she might not be able to beat her.” Ma Hongwei questioned.

”Sister Fei’Er also has a steel armor suit; you’re sorely underestimating Sister Fei’Er.” Xu Xin laughed, ”Even if that woman is indeed the one on the rankings, Sister Fei’Er might not defeat her alone. But if you join forces and add us as your crew, can an individual really defeat all of us?”

Ma Hongwei was a bit tempted; the person in the treehouse to the north made him fear going outside, urgent action was needed.

He gritted his teeth and said: ”Okay, fine, if you guys can come, resolve the matter, the treehouse is yours, but the person is mine! You guys don’t need a woman, right!”

Xu Xin squinted his eyes: ”No problem there; I’m not interested in other women.”

Ma Hongwei chuckled: ”I bet you’re just scared to show interest!”

Xu Xin laughed twice: ”Don’t say it out loud, don’t mess up my game. So I’ll leave for now. Maybe tomorrow, we can come over, don’t turn Sister Fei’Er away when the time comes.”

Ma Hongwei waved his hand: ”That certainly won’t happen, as long as you bring Lou Fei’Er, I’ll treat you to a fine feast...uh, invite you to the treehouse to chat!”

He initially intended to say treating with good wine and meat but realized he had none, so he stopped.

”That’s good, by the way,” Xu Xin suddenly warned him seriously, ”Don’t sneak a chat with me. Sister Fei’Er said she will check my chat records when we meet, and anyone still alive who has secretly chatted with me will be...” He made a cutting gesture across his neck.

He couldn’t let him chat with Gu Honghao privately. If he reaches out to the real Gu Honghao, the deception would be busted.

”I...damn...Brother Gu, you’re pitiful...” Ma Hongwei, who had initially envied Xu Xin, now could only sympathize, ”Female warriors are tough to deal with...no way! Crap, I’ve talked face-to-face with you for so long, I...”

Ma Hongwei suddenly looked frightened.

”It’s not like that, relax, I’ll explain it to Sister Fei’Er, let her know I came to find you.” Xu Xin’s mouth twitched, resisting the urge to laugh.

”I’m counting on you, Brother Gu, my goodness, can’t mess with women like that...” Ma Hongwei sighed.

”Alright then, Brother Ma, I’ll ask...I’ll have Sister Fei’Er reach out to you after I return, and you shouldn’t leave tomorrow as we should arrive then!”

”Great Brother Gu, see you tomorrow!”

Xu Xin waved to Ma Hongwei behind the window, then retreated into the forest, walking several hundred meters inward. Keke was also following him, running behind him.

He kept walking until he reached Silver King’s side, ensuring Ma Hongwei could no longer see him, finally couldn’t help but laugh.

”Haha, Keke, how was my acting?”

”Squeak!” Keke nodded its little head and reached its small paw out, giving Xu Xin a thumbs up.
