Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 206: Chapter 193: Regained Consciousness?

Xu Xin didn’t panic, and fiercely swung the spear in his hand towards the attacking Lou Fei’Er.

Although the brightness of her red dot already surpassed that of a mid-level mutated beast, it wasn’t by much.

Hunting mid-level mutated beasts posed no pressure to the fully armed Xu Xin now; facing an entity only slightly stronger than a mid-level mutated beast, he didn’t need to panic.

Lou Fei’Er swiftly ducked to avoid Xu Xin’s spear strike, and then clawed at Xu Xin’s arm holding the spear.

The instant sound of ”screech” from metal friction rang out, and Xu Xin kicked at her. She lightly retreated two steps and leaned against the treehouse wall, her blood-red eyes fixed firmly on Xu Xin.

Xu Xin glanced at the Scale Armor sleeve that had just been scratched; fortunately, there was only a light mark without any substantial damage. His purple-grade armor was still very strong.

The Scale Armor set did get damaged once by the attack of a mid-level mutated marlin to the boots, but that was due to the Blood-striped Marlin spiraling rapidly in the water and then charging out.

Such an effect was achieved by a super attack with a long preparatory motion.

Lou Fei’Er’s claw attack was only probing; although she was slightly stronger than a mid-level mutated beast, a single claw strike couldn’t harm his purple-grade armor.

Lou Fei’Er seemed to realize her normal attacks couldn’t harm Xu Xin and leaned against the wall, pushing off with one foot, seeming ready to launch a powerful, fatal strike at any moment!

Xu Xin was particularly intrigued by her current state.

”Do you still have consciousness now?” he asked.

He had already noticed the difference between Lou Fei’Er at this moment and those mutated humans in the dungeons.

She didn’t have fur growing all over her body.

Besides the blood stripes and blood eyes, her appearance hadn’t undergone significant changes from before.

Remember, mutated creatures have extremely long lifespans; mutated humans are virtually immortal compared to ordinary humans! If she could still maintain her consciousness, does that mean...

Lou Fei’Er opened her mouth slightly, said softly, ”I... consciousness... I want... to kill you!”

She became more agitated as she spoke, suddenly erupting again to attack him!

This time her attack was too reckless and unplanned. Xu Xin sidestepped and dodged her clawing, even managed to kick her hard, sending her crashing ”bang” into the wall.

Lou Fei’Er let out a muffled groan, rebounded two steps after hitting the wall, clutched her head that had bumped into the wall, quickly turned, faced Xu Xin again, and issued heavy breathing sounds.

Xu Xin didn’t strike again but sized up the abnormal state of Lou Fei’Er at the moment.

”Seems like she still has a trace of consciousness, but not much. Also...” Xu Xin scrutinized Lou Fei’Er, who was holding her head and turning to him, ”she seems unable to skillfully control her strength?”

Her previous strike was quite fast and ferocious; even if Xu Xin hadn’t kicked, she would probably smash into the wall herself.

Where did she acquire this ability?

Given it’s related to mutation, it probably isn’t a special ability like his creator’s access. Xu Xin had checked her watch; in the treehouse options, there wasn’t anything distinctive like alchemy or medical mastery.

The closest possibility Xu Xin could think of is the dungeon.

He got the synthesis platform capable of creating mutated beast potions in the dungeon and the ability to contract and control low-level mutated beasts. Presumably, Lou Fei’Er’s ability also likely came from the dungeon.

This ability is incredibly powerful!

Normally, someone whose throat is slit and loses so much blood couldn’t possibly survive, yet she not only lives, but even the wounds are mostly healed. It’s virtually akin to resurrection, eternal life!

Facing the more agile Lou Fei’Er, the spear was ineffective in the confined space. Even before her mutation, the spear barely reached her, let alone after she became more flexible and nimble.

Xu Xin put away the spear, barehanded, and made a taunting gesture at Lou Fei’Er, who was glaring at him against the wall.

Post-mutation, Lou Fei’Er also gained the beast’s hot temper. Although her consciousness was nearly gone, she could still identify the taunting gesture, instantly screaming and launching an attack!

But to Xu Xin, she’s like a mid-level mutated creature that lost sanity after injury, only knows to attack, and is haphazard; dealing with her is effortless for him, who has strengthened so many times.

He slightly moved aside, neatly dodged Lou Fei’Er’s clawing, simultaneously clenched his right fist, and punched her in the abdomen!

”Bang!” Lou Fei’Er was knocked flying again, heavily crashed into the wall, and this time didn’t stabilize, directly fell to the ground.

”...I really don’t want to hit women,” Xu Xin shook his head helplessly. He felt something was off as if he kept intensely beating a woman.

Covered with blood stripes, Lou Fei’Er indeed wasn’t like a monster, but added a bizarre charm, accompanied by ragged clothes, looked even more alluring.

Now his punch’s power isn’t something ordinary people can endure, plus Lou Fei’Er’s post-mutation speed was extraordinary, equivalent to smashing into his punch carrying immense force at high speed.
