Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 223: Chapter 205: Cooling Down, Fallen Leaves (4,200 words!)_3

Well, not bad, it saves them the trouble of searching.

”Master, I’m hungry! I want food!” Over in the treehouse, Lou Fei’Er saw Xu Xin coming down from the treehouse, thinking he was bringing her food. But after a while, he didn’t come over, so she couldn’t help but shout.

”Coming, coming.” Xu Xin arrived below the parasitic treehouse and used the roots to pull it up.

Although Lou Fei’Er was the owner of the treehouse, he could still control it. The owner of the main treehouse essentially had the keys to all the parasitic treehouses.

Hmm, better not tell the others in the regional channel about this, or else many might feel discouraged.

”You finally came. Boohoo, I’m cold and hungry. If you keep treating me like this, I’ll report you for mistreating captives and make sure your organization can’t continue!” Lou Fei’Er said with a resentful glare, then she saw the little creature on Xu Xin’s shoulder and instantly changed to a smile while greeting, ”Hi there, cutie!”

”Eek!” Keke waved its little paw too.

She was currently connected to zone 188, and Ji Chaoyang had told everyone on the regional channel about this, so naturally, she knew.

After learning about the deeds of the [Explorer] from others, she finally understood why zone 188 had so many survivors. In comparison, their zone 187 was practically a waste zone! They couldn’t compare to zone 188 at all!

Being captured and brought to zone 188 was actually a good thing?

And her master was even the leader of zone 188, indeed the leader of all zones...

No, no, no! Am I crazy!

Just as Lou Fei’Er was still having an internal struggle, Xu Xin placed several fruits and a piece of roasted meat on the table for her.

”...Roasted meat?!” Lou Fei’Er stared at the roasted meat in a daze, ”You can still eat roast meat now?”

”Hurry up and eat. Once you’re done, I’ll take you to the main treehouse.” Xu Xin sat on the chair, waiting for her while thinking about what he needed to do today.

Lou Fei’Er’s eyes lit up, ”I can live in the main treehouse now?”

”Of course not. It’s just that I might need to go out today, and you’re completely helpless. If you stay here, I’m afraid you won’t make it by the time I return.” Xu Xin warned, ”Don’t think about wandering around in the main treehouse. I’ll have Mimi watch you.”

Today’s outing required trekking across several treehouses, and Mimi probably couldn’t handle it, so it would stay behind. He planned to take Silver King and Keke instead. Mimi would stay home to keep an eye on this woman.

”Hmm... Okay.” Lou Fei’Er sat bored at the table and began enjoying her breakfast.

”Your roasting skills are really terrible, sigh! Such a waste of good meat, but hmm, it’s delicious. The meat is really tasty, must be mutant beast meat, right? But the cooking temperature was really poor. Wait a minute, am I eating my own kind?”

Xu Xin: ”...”

The meat was all roasted automatically by a blue-grade grill; once cooked, it stopped on its own, so how could there be an issue with the cooking temperature?

”Anyway, eating my kind or not, as long as it’s tasty, it’s fine. Do you have a lot of meat? Let me roast it next time, your skills aren’t up to par.” Despite saying this, she still ate heartily; after all, she hadn’t had anything since last night.

”Hurry up and eat your food!” Xu Xin nearly wanted to flick her forehead.

”I’m serious! I’m really good at cooking!”

Xu Xin ignored her and looked out the window.

As he expected, the jungle at this time had basically shed all its leaves, with only a few entirely yellow leaves clinging to the bare branches. The ground was covered with a thick layer of golden fallen leaves.

This world, in merely one night, changed from midsummer to late autumn.
