Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 207: Chapter 193 Regained Consciousness? _2

At this moment, she didn’t get up quickly, but curled up on the ground holding her belly, moaning in pain: ”Ugh... It hurts... so much...”

Oh? Do mutated creatures also suffer from pain?

Xu Xin thought that injured mutated creatures would ignore pain and go berserk directly, since the intermediate mutated beasts he dealt with previously were like that.

He didn’t make a move. He was quite interested in Lou Fei’Er’s current state, or rather, he was interested in immortality, ageless and deathless.

Lou Fei’Er struggled to stand up from the ground, clutching her belly.

Her body was still trembling due to pain, but the look in her eyes toward Xu Xin was no longer beast-like viciousness, nor the madness he imagined post-injury.

In contrast, human emotions filled her blood-colored pupils.

Panic, fear, helplessness, and... a hint of joy?

”You... you bastard, truly... have no tenderness at all...”

Hmm? Has she regained consciousness?!

Before Xu Xin could react, she suddenly sprang up again. But this time, she didn’t come at Xu Xin, instead, she darted out of the treehouse window at lightning speed and quickly disappeared into the jungle!

In one swift motion, she vanished instantly!

Xu Xin squinted his eyes. He didn’t rush to chase after her; with her current speed, he couldn’t catch up anyway.

He walked to the window and looked in the direction Lou Fei’Er escaped to, her figure completely out of sight.

However, he’s not concerned.

Because the red dot is still flashing on the map, moving rapidly to the west.

Now there’s no other red dot on the entire map, so there’s no worry about confusing her with other beasts or mutated creatures.

Isn’t this just leading the way for him? Saves him the trouble of finding her treehouse.

Besides, Lou Fei’Er’s treehouse tablet is still in his possession.

She can’t escape unless she abandons her treehouse; otherwise she’ll only struggle in his grasp.

Giving up the treehouse is impossible. Although her current condition is unknown, if a survivor doesn’t want a treehouse, death is close, he wouldn’t even need to make a move.

However, her speed is really fast, not even inferior to the Silver King!

This dangerous individual must die. He doesn’t want to be targeted indefinitely by a mutated human possessing human intelligence stronger than intermediate mutated beasts!

Xu Xin looked at the tranquil jungle and stream. The west from which she fled is precisely where the stream flows from. Surely her treehouse is planted by the stream.

Speaking of which, if she is a mutated creature now, is it possible to sign a contract with her and control her directly?

No, it should be impossible.

The mutated beast contract he holds can only bind low-level mutated beasts. Based on the brightness of the map dot, her strength has exceeded intermediate mutated creatures, so the mutated beast contract probably won’t work.

However, she doesn’t seem to have the characteristic mutations of intermediate mutated creatures.

The body part used for attack becomes exaggeratedly terrifying, enhancing attack strength several times, which is typical for intermediate mutated beasts and those evolving to intermediate level. But she doesn’t have that; her body, except for blood patterns and blood pupils, is no different from an ordinary person.

Is it perhaps another evolution route?

No hurry, wait for her to return to the treehouse, locate the position, then pursue her.

First, share the information he learned from Lou Fei’Er with others in the Explorer group.

Xu Xin first contacted Ji Chaoyang, telling him that other survivors knew about the conflicts between regions just like him. And he shared his speculations with Ji Chaoyang.

”I had already considered that not just us could obtain information, didn’t expect it to actually be true,” Ji Chaoyang pondered for a moment, ”We should immediately inform them now.”

”Agreed, I was thinking the same.”

Xu Xin promptly shared his and Ji Chaoyang’s inferences with others in the Explorer group.

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Competition between regions? Elimination match?! This...”

Li Wenxi: ”Then, are all those around us enemies from other regions!”

Wang Lei: ”Thankfully, I didn’t go out!”

Wen Guixin: ”I knew it! I was wondering why there were dying treehouses around when no one in our region died last night, turns out it’s from other regions? Say, if they’re enemies, can’t we...”

Qin Yunlong: ”I also had a vague suspicion that this world is actually an arena, didn’t expect it to be regional competition development.”

Qi Xuefei: ”Then should I... stop providing medical treatments to people from other regions? Can you really confirm that people from other regions are enemies?”

This indeed conflicts with her compassion philosophy, but she’s not naive enough to supply enemies to the extent of aiding them.

If the two sides engage in battle, and she goes to heal enemy soldiers, restoring their combat strength, she would purely be a mole.

She certainly isn’t that stupid.

But she also must discern whether these people are truly enemies, whether in the future they would battle them to the death.

Ji Chaoyang: ”Basically confirmed but at this stage refrain from killing people from other regions. The parasitic treehouse issue isn’t completely clear. We’re also unclear whether people from other regions can be turned into our people. Until true hostility erupts, maintain normal interaction!”

Wang Lei: ”Feeling like real human slaughter is about to start...”

Xu Xin shook his head; he had already experienced slaughter.

”By the way,” he remembered other key information.

”Do not share the method I told you for acquiring a treehouse core outside. Direct cutting or digging cannot obtain the treehouse core. Currently, the method is likely the only one I mentioned. Also, never let your treehouse tablet fall into someone else’s hands as it can be operated by others!”

Qin Yunhu: ”I’m aware of the treehouse tablet issue. Not only can it be operated by others, but it can also be traded to others through the treehouse.”

Qin Yunlong: ”Indeed, my brother and I tested trading tablets, viewing each other’s treehouse information, even speaking in the region channel under each other’s names. The tablet is akin to an unlocked phone!”

Is there really such a thing?

This indeed is what only they as brothers could experiment with; it seems the recent revelation from Xu Xin about life and death within the same region also made them drop their guard, sharing what they knew.
