Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 222: Chapter 205: Cooling Down, Fallen Leaves (4,200 words!)_2

These two guys seem to have been in this state during this period.

Could it be because the radiation stone shattered and there’s no radiation around to enhance their strength, causing them to be so lethargic?

It looks like I need to plant the red mist flower seeds I have as soon as possible to make a sauna room for these guys. I’ve been too busy before and have always forgotten.

Speaking of which, the red mist should also be useful for Lou Fei’Er, she’s a mutant creature now too.

Threw some pieces of meat to Mimi and Silver King, handed an apple to Keke, Xu Xin went to the window and shouted to Afu hanging under Parasite Treehouse 01: ”Afu, come back for dinner!”

He doesn’t need to worry about the favorites; although there are no wild beasts currently, bugs and ants are everywhere, the favorites have no worries about food and drink.

However, ever since eating so many mutated big ants last time, it seems it hasn’t hunted for a long time, maybe it ate too much once and is evolving now?

Afu immediately flapped its wings and flew over.

Then he saw Lou Fei’Er poking her head out of the window and shouting at him: ”What about me! I want to eat too! You’re being discriminatory! No discrimination!”

Isn’t she the chef who decorated the kitchen?

Oh right, Lou Fei’Er’s weak period won’t be over until tonight, she’s too weak now, probably can’t cook.

”I’ll send it over after I finish eating!” Xu Xin shouted, then retreated his head.

Xu Xin ate while connecting with [Explorer].

Everyone had already started discussing today’s temperature issue.

Ji Chaoyang: ”Everyone, the temperature is unusual today, don’t go far before nine o’clock. If there’s activity today, we’ll likely be notified at nine. If there’s no information by nine, follow yesterday’s plan without delay.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”It’s really cold... I was woken up by the cold this morning, my window faces the bed, I feel like I caught a cold... Ah... Ah... Achoo!!”

Qi Xuefei: ”Do you need medicine, the same as before, effective in one tablet but with a two-hour weakness period.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Better not, the two-hour weakness period is too deadly, if I really have to take it, it should be at night.”

Qin Yunlong: ”Quickly go out and look, the leaves of the poplar trees outside have started turning yellow!”

Li Wenxi: ”Oh my, really! The leaves have started falling over here!”

Xu Xin immediately ran to the window to look outside, the originally verdant poplar leaves had really started to turn yellow, just like a treehouse on the verge of death.

He had also observed the outside of the treehouse when he got up, and there hadn’t been such a big change then!

Fortunately, the treehouse canopy was still lush and green, unaffected in the slightest.

Indeed, a cold wind blew through, and those leaves started turning yellower at a speed visible to the naked eye; countless leaves that had already turned completely yellow began to fall with the wind.

...What is going on with these poplar trees!

These poplar trees grew rapidly during the rainy season, why are they wilting so fast!

No, not wilting.

It seems like it’s just normal autumn leaf fall. But the speed at which the leaves turned yellow and fell is too fast.

Before long, a thick layer of yellow leaves covered the ground, and the entire forest had turned from green to yellow, becoming much sparser due to the leaf fall, soon these trees will probably become bare.

Even the shrubs and birch trees he planted outside were gradually balding, only the pine trees remained green, but compared to the previous vibrant green, they had turned to deep green for winter.

”...The speed of leaf fall is so fast, could it be that winter is about to arrive?” Xu Xin muttered to himself.

Speaking of winter, he thought of the cotton he collected before. Unfortunately, he couldn’t plant it on a large scale at that time, now he could plant it extensively under the treehouse, but the temperature has dropped again.

Let’s go down and take a look.

Just as Xu Xin was about to go down from the treehouse, Keke climbed onto his shoulder.

”Alright, I’ll take you down with me.”

”Ying!”

Down at the treehouse, the red berry shrubs at the entrance of the favorites’ hole had also turned yellow.

Xu Xin looked towards the entrance, inside the favorites were curled up sleeping together, seemingly not affected by the temperature. Of course, given that all three, the favorite being close to a mid-level mutant beast and the two smaller ones having giant beast bloodlines, were not afraid of the cold.

Naturally, Xu Xin wasn’t cold either, the warmth function of his scale armor suit was quite good.

Looking around, everything seemed somewhat unfamiliar. Xu Xin, accustomed to the green surroundings, found the golden forest and fallen leaves somewhat disorienting.

Wait.

He looked up at the treehouse. The treehouse showed no signs of change, remaining lush and green, with leaves gently swaying in the cold wind.

Xu Xin immediately asked in the regional channel: ”Have your treehouse leaves changed color?”

Everyone was discussing temperature and leaf fall, seeing Xu Xin speak, a bunch of people rushed to answer.

”No change!”

”No change, big guy!”

”Still so green!”

Xu Xin’s face gradually showed a thoughtful expression.

The forest turned yellow and even bald, only the treehouses and pine trees stayed green, and pine trees were only cultivable by survivors, meaning from a distance, other survivors could see the lush green treehouses, right?

This world seems to be facilitating encounters among survivors.
