Berserk God of War

Chapter 598: Chapter 598: Boss, Shihun

Over here, Sikong Jing was strolling through the bustling streets of Wuwang City with Ning Jingjing.

Ning Jingjing said, ”Boss, it seems that Gongyang Ying isn’t bad at all. You might break a beauty’s heart by deceiving her like this.”

After speaking, Ning Jingjing pouted and stared at Sikong Jing.

From the outset, the temperament Gongyang Ying displayed was one of pride and disdain for someone as arrogant and overbearing as Yan Benxing. At the same time, she cared for them and was even willing to stand up for them.

But in Ning Jingjing’s eyes, although Gongyang Ying seemed calm, her pride ran deep in her bones. Even wearing a veil, she could make the average woman feel ashamed.

Ning Jingjing always felt suffocated and under a lot of pressure.

”The human heart is hard to predict, she has said so herself.”

Sikong Jing, unaware of Ning Jingjing’s feelings, chuckled and said, ”She has been testing me all along, but indeed, her nature is good. She’s someone with principles. After this encirclement campaign is over, we can talk with her about cooperation.”

”As for deception, we are, after all, just small figures in a world of turmoil, at the mercy of circumstances.”

Sikong Jing sighed as he spoke, knowing that infiltrating the War Soul Dynasty to assassinate Mo Ci put his sister Sikong Ling in danger of failing at any moment.

How could he bare his soul for the feelings of a passing stranger?

Deception had to be done, nonetheless.

”Let’s go. While there’s no one around watching us, we’ll return to the Soul Penetration Mountain and take down the Soul Stealer in one fell swoop, taking their place.”

Without dwelling on these matters any further, Sikong Jing disappeared into Wuwang City with Ning Jingjing.

By the time the sun was just rising, he had already returned to the 66th Army in the Soul Penetration Mountain.

Afterward, Sikong Jing summoned Lian Guang and other core figures.

He pulled out paper and ink and began to sketch out the territories and landscapes belonging to the Soul Stealer. If someone from Yingyue Building were to see it now, they would exclaim in surprise that Sikong Jing’s drawing was even more detailed than that of Gongyang Ying.

Indeed, Gongyang Ying had analyzed and produced a terrain map based on the reports from several previous encirclement campaigns.

Sikong Jing had done the same analysis.

And compared to Gongyang Ying, his thought process was clearer.

”Xia Dalian, take fifty thousand men and strike first at the Soul Stealer’s stronghold on Luohun Road, driving everyone inside.”

”Second Master Ning, lead a hundred thousand men along these three routes to drive out the Soul Stealer.”

”Third Master Lian, take the Absolute Night Wolf Guard to roam within the terrain, erasing all cunning schemes arranged by the Soul Stealer.”

”Sui Yu, you take fifty thousand men into the true den of the Soul Stealer, secure all their family members, and wait for our arrival, blocking any communication...”

”Let the operation begin... Remember, don’t leave behind any losses or traces.”

Upon Sikong Jing’s last command, everyone responded resolutely and set out.

As for Sikong Jing himself, he set off with Xia Dalian, headed for the Soul Stealer’s stronghold on Luohun Road, just as he had stated.

...

As Sikong Jing and the 66th Army were taking action, within the stronghold above Luohun Road.

A man with a small mustache had a slight frown, dressed in black clothes embroidered with a venomous snake, giving him an exceedingly gloomy appearance with a flash of venomous shade in his eyes.

This man was the leader of the Soul Stealer bandits; his specific name was unknown, but he called himself Shihun.

”Moon Soul Fairy Gongyang Ying actually came herself to surround and suppress me, along with Yan Benxing of the Cross Saber Sect, who turns out to be the legitimate grandchild of the Huanteng Mountain Villa.”

Shihun’s voice was exceptionally cold, as if embodying the venomous snake embroidered on his clothing.

As a Soul Stealer, a formidable organization that had not been defeated by the War Soul Dynasty for three years, they naturally had spies planted within Wuwang City and had received the news of Gongyang Ying’s arrival.

At this moment, he was gathering the core members of the Soul Stealers to discuss countermeasures.

”Boss, what should we do?”

”Gongyang Ying himself is extremely terrifying in martial arts, and with her status, she definitely brought along many hidden experts.”

A middle-aged man, who called himself Xiao Hun, the Second Master of the Soul Stealers, stood up and asked.

At this time, the expressions on the faces of all the core members of the Soul Stealers were grave. Gongyang Ying’s reputation was so formidable that they couldn’t help but feel alarmed.

Suddenly, Boss Shihun let out an eerie smile.

”What’s there to be afraid of? The Soul Penetration Mountain region is entirely our turf, we’ve already laid out all kinds of nets in heaven and traps on earth, filled with traps they could never even dream of. Even if it’s Gongyang Ying, I’ll make sure she leaves but never returns.”

”Of course, Gongyang Ying’s identity is too terrifying. Our goal isn’t to kill her.”

”It’s to capture her alive and negotiate terms with our Great Imperial Advisor, like the ones who harmed me in the past—I want their lives.”

”Perhaps even obtain a more complete set of War Soul and Beast Blood Secret Techniques, hehehehe...”

The core members of the Soul Stealers exchanged glances, astonished beyond belief; they hadn’t expected the Boss to have such confidence.

However, on thinking about the numerous victories the Boss had led them to in the past three years, everyone immediately set aside their worries. They all started to think about what they would do after capturing Gongyang Ying, the number one beauty of the War Soul.

But Xiao Hun, the Second Master, was still somewhat concerned and asked, ”Boss, what about the disciples from the Cross Saber Sect?”

A cold light flashed in his eyes, and Shihun sneered repeatedly, ”There are rumors out there that I’m a discarded disciple of the Tieshan Sect.”

”That’s right, I indeed am a discarded disciple of the Tieshan Sect...”

”The Tieshan Sect and the Cross Saber Sect are mortal enemies. If I kill Yan Benxing, perhaps I can return to the Tieshan Sect. So of course I want them all dead, leaving not a single one alive.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the others were incredibly surprised; only then did they realize just how many identities their Boss actually had.

He was not only a disciple of the Tieshan Sect but also a former general under Lu Lungan. No wonder the Boss was so formidable.

”The intelligence we’ve received indicates that they will come to encircle us tomorrow morning, which means we have a full day and night.”

”Let’s go set up some nice traps.”

Having said that, Shihun slowly stood up, preparing to lead people back into Soul Penetration Mountain to lay traps.

But in the next instant, an icy voice suddenly rang out.

”Soul Devouring Boss, right? I’m sorry to say you don’t have any more time. Our encirclement operation has already begun.”

As these words were spoken, Shihun and the others trembled violently, disbelievingly widening their eyes, only to see an Ice Soul Cold Eagle accompanied by a sweeping cold wind appear at the entrance of their mountain stronghold’s hall.

On the back of the Ice Soul Cold Eagle stood a young man in black.

Shihun’s pupils shrunk, and he growled lowly, ”Who are you?”

As he spoke, his True Qi radiated from his body, clearly showing that he was the extraordinary second realm master rumored outside.

”Of course, I’m one of the people encircling you. Our operation has already begun.”

The young man in black was none other than Sikong Jing. After finishing his words, he patted the Ice Soul Cold Eagle beneath him and turned to fly away.

Simultaneously, a panicked Soul Stealer hurriedly came from outside and reported, ”Boss, the encircling troop has already appeared; they are attacking our stronghold. They were silent and unnoticed... we only discovered them when they were ten kilometers away.”

Instantly, Shihun felt his body erupt with chills as he immediately roared, ”Quick, send word down, everyone retreat into Soul Penetration Mountain.”

As the mountain bandits began to move, Shihun gritted his teeth and cursed, ”Damn that Gongyang Ying, pretending she would start the operation tomorrow morning, but she came now, that damn bitch.”

”How dare she start the operation today? Isn’t she afraid of being unprepared?”
