Berserk God of War

Chapter 563: Chapter 563: Deception

”No one knows who the Dark Wings truly are, but the power he has displayed is at the Daoist Martial Second Realm, just like this corpse. As long as we change the face of the corpse and then have it die at our hands, there will be no issues at all.”

Hearing this, Ji Shengmang was once again full of doubts.

”How can we change the face of this Xingluo General Academy student who has already died?”

”And not raise any suspicions?”

Ji Tan would certainly confirm the identity of the Dark Wings, even going to the extent of thoroughly examining the corpse.

Ji Shengmang had no means of changing a face without it being detected upon inspection.

Sikong Jing gave a faint smile: ”Soon, you shall know.”

When Ji Shengmang arrived at the grand tomb of the Beigong Xianfeng with Sikong Jing, he couldn’t help but widen his eyes and exclaimed, ”Palace Master Shen, Institute Master Yao Changgeng!”

In front of the Beigong Xianfeng’s brand-new grand tomb, two people stood, forming a very peculiar duo.

Shen Qingye, along with the Alchemy Institute Master Yao Changgeng from the Long Night Star Palace.

As Sikong Jing had instructed Qin Heng two days prior, Shen Qingye would come to the tomb of Beigong Xianfeng with Yao Changgeng, after defeating the two Reverse Soul Realm elders of the Xingluo General Academy.

Yao Changgeng had been detained by the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace during Su Yuexi’s War Body outbreak last time.

Now, Yao Changgeng wouldn’t dare resist the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, or else they would kill him, for he held the secrets of the War Bodies of both Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi.

This was a fact that absolutely must not be leaked.

After they landed, Sikong Jing immediately said, ”Palace Master Shen, you’re not hurt, are you?”

He was naturally referring to her battle with the two Reverse Soul Realm powerhouses.

Shen Qingye smiled and replied, ”I was seriously injured, but I feel much better after taking Master Yao’s medicine, so there’s no need to worry.”

”But Ajing, why have you called us here? And what does Ji Shengmang want to do with you?”

As she spoke, a flash of murderous intent appeared in Shen Qingye’s eyes, and she took a slight step forward.

She had seen Ji Shengmang grabbing Sikong Jing... and Sikong Jing’s current state wasn’t good either, as he was also severely injured.

Being watched by Shen Qingye, Ji Shengmang hurriedly said, ”Palace Master Shen, don’t misunderstand, my relationship with Sikong Jing is very good.”

If Ji Shengmang had been wary of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace in the past because of the backing of the Holy Dragon General Academy,

Now it was the strength of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace itself.

A Reverse Soul Realm’s Seven Symbols Heavenly Dragon, two Third Stage of Golden Body terrifying powerhouses!

Sikong Jing then gave a slight smile and said, ”Palace Master, there’s no need to worry. The first reason I asked you to bring Master Yao here is to have him change the face of this corpse.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing threw a corpse out from the space within the Golden Soul Palace.

The corpse was pierced by a spear, wearing the Xingluo General Academy’s uniform, indeed a student from the Xingluo General Academy.

Ji Shengmang suddenly realized what Sikong Jing intended, for Master Yao to change the appearance of the Xingluo student.

As one of the top five pharmacists in the East Plain Northern Land, Master Yao naturally had the capability to do so.

”Master Yao, how long would it take to alter the appearance of this corpse without anyone noticing?”

As Sikong Jing spoke, he looked straight at Yao Changgeng.

”If it is just a change of appearance, without specifying a particular face, it can be done very quickly,” Yao Changgeng, having accepted his fate to stay in the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, replied promptly.

”Good...”

Sikong Jing nodded firmly and then turned to Ji Shengmang, ”Your Majesty, now open the great tomb of the Beigong Commander and create the impression that Dark Wings emerged from the tomb.”

Upon this, Ji Shengmang had no hesitation and forcefully opened the stone door of Beigong Xianfeng’s grand mausoleum.

A booming sound erupted...

Because the sound of the stone door opening was so loud, Huang Yu, Eunuch Zou, and others who were chasing from a distance were stunned.

A cold light flashed through Eunuch Zou’s eyes as he said, ”Beigong Xianfeng’s grand tomb has been opened, but why?”

”Could it be that His Majesty is going to bring Sikong Jing to see Beigong Xianfeng’s corpse?” Huang Yu also wore a puzzled expression. There was no reason for His Majesty to do so. Wouldn’t it have been enough for Sikong Jing to just kowtow a few times outside the tomb?

His Majesty wouldn’t be impulsive enough to let Sikong Jing be buried alongside Beigong Xianfeng.

”There’s something fishy here, we need to hurry over,” Eunuch Zou called out, his own martial arts not weak, as he increased his speed.

The next instant, they heard Ji Shengmang suddenly exclaim angrily, ”Who opened the tomb of Beigong Old Commander, disturbed the peace of Beigong Old Commander, who was it?”

Upon hearing this, Eunuch Zou and Huang Yu once again halted their steps, dumbfounded.

The door of the grand tomb wasn’t opened by Ji Shengmang?

”Your Majesty, it’s me, Dark Wings!” That was the voice of Sikong Jing, but Eunuch Zou and Huang Yu couldn’t recognize it.

Because when Sikong Jing wore the Dark Wing Mask, his voice was altered.

And with this statement, Huang Yu and the others nearly fell over, a chill rising and their hairs standing on end.

Dark Wings had been secretly hiding inside Beigong Xianfeng’s tomb; he was waiting for Ji Shengmang to pay his respects. So this was the way he intended to meet Ji Shengmang...

”Quickly, we must not let Dark Wings speak the truth, he must be killed,” Eunuch Zou growled in a low voice.

The two of them, once again, hastened their approach...

But at that moment, they heard Ji Shengmang bellow furiously, ”You damn Dark Wings, have you sided with the War Soul Dynasty?”

”You have even turned against the Long Night Black Burning Army. Beigong Commander treated you as his own son for so many years, and yet you betray us so readily, disregarding the bigger picture... I will kill you!”

In an instant, Ji Shengmang’s True Qi surged to the heavens, unleashing a powerful punch.

But Dark Wings argued loudly, ”Your Majesty, that’s not how it is, please listen to my explanation!”

”No need for explanations now, the fact that you’re not with the Long Night Black Burning Army speaks volumes. You deserve to die,” Ji Shengmang’s voice boomed with anger as he continued his relentless assault, appearing not to entertain any explanations.

In the blink of an eye, Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou again paused slightly, watching the battle unfold in front of Beigong Xianfeng’s grand tomb.

On one side was Ji Shengmang’s powerful sword light, on the other, the unique Dark Wing Black Burning Sword belonging to Dark Wings. The roars of their clash were unceasing, and of course, Dark Wings was no match for Ji Shengmang, quickly being overpowered.

At this time, the voice of Dark Wings had become hoarse, ”Your Majesty, let me finish my words!”

And Ji Shengmang also held back his aura, speaking coldly, ”Fine, I will give you the chance; I am curious to see what nonsense you wish to spout.”

These words shocked Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou to the core, scaring them out of their wits, and they accelerated frantically.

”Pfft...”

Suddenly, a burst of Gun Light streaked across, followed by the agonized scream of Dark Wings, ”Sikong Jing, why did you kill me?”

As soon as these words were uttered, Huang Yu and the others stopped for the third time. Dark Wings was killed by Sikong Jing?

In the next instant, they heard Sikong Jing’s voice, ”Because you once wronged General Ning, so I killed you.”

Following Sikong Jing’s statement, silence fell before Beigong Xianfeng’s tomb, leading Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou to completely halt their steps, looking at each other in disbelief, torn between laughter and tears...

Dark Wings was ultimately killed by Sikong Jing, too dramatic to be believed.

They silently wiped their sweat, a near miss. Dark Wings had almost revealed the truth, which would have spelled their doom.
