Berserk God of War

Chapter 561: Chapter 561: Accompany to the End

Sikong Jing slowly drew his spear, swept it across everyone present, and said indifferently, ”Today, even if the Long Night Emperor intervenes, he won’t be able to save you. I said the Long Night Imperial City will no longer have the Six Great Families, so there would only be five left.”

As his words fell, the long spear swept across!

Although Huang Yu and Eunuch Zou were displeased with Sikong Jing, they could only retreat while pulling Ji Shengmang with them, again distancing themselves from the center of the battle. They coldly watched as Sikong Jing slaughtered all in his path, unbeatable.

Peng Lingcheng, having an arm severed, screamed and rushed toward Ning Old Grand Dowager, ”Save me!”

At this moment, Ning Old Grand Dowager and the members of the Ning Family had already been stupefied for quite a while, Sikong Jing’s terror far beyond their imagination.

In the face of Peng Lingcheng’s plea for help, they didn’t dare to make a move.

However, at this juncture, Peng Xianling said again, ”Ning Old Grand Dowager, as long as you save me, I will definitely recommend the Ning Family’s youth to join the Xingluo General Academy, giving you a great backing from now on.”

At these words, a sharp light flashed in Ning Old Grand Dowager’s eyes, her spirit agitated.

But when she saw Sikong Jing riding a wolf, his body covered in blood, she hesitated nonetheless and finally clenched her teeth and said, ”Sikong Jing, give this old woman some face and spare Peng Family Master’s life.”

Sikong Jing cocked his head and asked, ”It turns out to be Ning Old Grand Dowager. What brings you all to Peng Family’s Mansion?”

His gaze was icy, pretending not to know that the Ning Family members were present.

Er...

Ning Old Grand Dowager twitched the corner of her mouth, clearly not daring to admit they came to see how Sikong Jing would die.

For a moment, she found herself at a loss for words.

Then, Sikong Jing as if suddenly understanding, said mockingly, ”I see now, you came to see me die, and to kick me while I’m down, right? Then Ning Old Grand Dowager, what face do you have to speak of?”

Opening her mouth, Ning Old Grand Dowager gritted her teeth and said, ”I am Ning Jingjing’s grandmother, and you are a friend of Ning Jingjing...”

Slap!

Suddenly, Sikong Jing disappeared from on the wolf’s back, and with a heavy slap, struck Ning Old Grand Dowager’s face, then in front of everyone’s disbelieving eyes, he said, ”Now, are you ready to acknowledge General Ning?”

Sikong Jing was well aware of Ning Jingjing’s status in the Ning Family and how she was treated.

Ning Old Grand Dowager, covering her face, her old face flushed, said, ”When did I ever deny her?”

”You have repeatedly schemed in the ranks of the Long Night Black Burning Army, bribing people to harm General Ning. Did you think I didn’t know?” Sikong Jing said cooly, then slowly continued speaking, ”Enough, considering you are General Ning’s grandmother, get lost!”

Regardless, blood was thicker than water, and Sikong Jing didn’t want to be utterly ruthless, nor did he wish for Ning Jingjing to bear any bad reputation.

And Ning Old Grand Dowager’s harming of Ning Jingjing wasn’t an attempt on her life, but merely a wish to have her return home and be controlled.

So, he decided to spare her old life.

However, just as Sikong Jing turned his head to look at Peng Lingcheng, a sinister voice suddenly sounded, ”Sikong Jing, let Peng Family Master go and get out immediately, or else I will kill Ning Jingjing’s father.”

At these words, Sikong Jing turned abruptly, his killing intent flaring.

There was Ning Shouye clutching Ning Shouzhi’s neck, his eyes containing a ferocious glee.

”Don’t disbelieve. Anyhow, this third brother of mine is useless, killing him doesn’t mean anything... Only if you don’t agree, will Ning Jingjing have to kneel before her father’s grave when she returns from the battlefield,” Ning Shouye laughed wickedly.

Yet his heart was brimming with eagerness, knowing that saving Peng Lingcheng would mean his son could go to the Xingluo General Academy.

”Sikong Jing, aren’t you leaving!” Ning Shouye’s hand tightened, forcing Ning Shouzhi to kick fiercely.

The next instant... Bang!

Ning Shouye’s hand suddenly exploded into pieces, and no one saw how Sikong Jing made his move.

As a result, Ning Shouzhi fell to the ground, coughing violently.

Then, Sikong Jing’s spear flashed out, piercing straight through Ning Shouye’s heart, pinning him against the wall behind, and with dying eyes wide open, he spat blood and said, ”Sikong Jing, you, you... I am Ning Jingjing’s uncle.”

He had not expected Sikong Jing to kill him before he could kill Ning Shouzhi.

Neither had he expected Sikong Jing to do it with such resolve.

”You, you couldn’t bring yourself to kill Ning Jingjing’s grandmother, so why could you kill me?”

Ning Shouye roared in frustration, he had thought Sikong Jing would go easy on him because of his relationship with Ning Jingjing.

Fools who valued loyalty and righteousness were all the same.

But Sikong Jing sneered coldly, ”Are you an idiot? The reason the Ning Old Grand Dowager isn’t dead is that she didn’t want General Ning’s life, but you wanted Uncle Ning’s life. If not you, who else should die?”

At these words, Ning Shouye was stunned... and then his head tilted, and he breathed his last.

”My son, my dear Shouye!”

The Ning Old Grand Dowager cried out in madness as she threw herself onto Ning Shouye, wailing and weeping. Suddenly, she looked up, ”Sikong Jing, I...”

”If you want to die, I can grant you that wish. I believe General Ning would understand.”

Sikong Jing didn’t bother to listen to any more of Ning Old Grand Dowager’s nonsense, cutting her off abruptly, then his figure rolled up and returned to the back of the Night Shadow Mad Wolf, pursuing Peng Lingcheng who was in the midst of fleeing.

With a ’pfft’, the latter died a terrible death on the spot!

Thump, thump, thump... As Peng Lingcheng died horribly, one by one, members of the Peng Family collapsed to the ground, their will to resist completely shattered. Their family in the Long Night Imperial City was utterly ruined.

The next moment, Sikong Jing turned and landed in the center of the mansion, casually looking at Ji Tingyue who was on the back of the Heavenly Fire Lion.

”How are your wounds? Shall we continue the fight?”

”Still step by step fighting, giving you a chance to kill me.”

Ji Tingyue’s face was utterly pale as she looked at the corpses strewn all around.

Looking towards the direction of the old Xingluo Palace site, the ongoing battle there proved that the two elders had gained no advantage...

At this moment, Xu Tingyue could only agree, ”Fine, but remember, you said it.”

Sikong Jing, not needing the Night Shadow Mad Wolf, was an opportunity for her to fight back. There was no reason not to agree.

Then both of them dismounted and resumed their fierce battle.

Back and forth they clashed repeatedly, the air thick with the stench of blood. After watching for a while, Eunuch Zou commented, ”Sikong Jing isn’t that strong, it’s the Fierce Beast Night Shadow Mad Wolf that is formidable.”

After hundreds of rounds, Sikong Jing hadn’t gained much of an upper hand, proving that without his mount, he wasn’t so fearsome.

Ji Tan and Huang Yu nodded vigorously in agreement.

Not far from them, Hua Lidian was rendered speechless, muttering to himself, ”Sikong Jing is pretending to such an extent just to avoid being in the top hundred, it’s ridiculous. Is playing the fool to catch the wise really that amusing?”

The previous fight was a mounted battle, which even if recorded wouldn’t count because everyone would think it was the Night Shadow Mad Wolf’s terrifying power.

Especially now that Sikong Jing was still pretending, when in fact a single blow would have been enough to cut down Ji Tingyue.

Finally, after thousands of moves, Sikong Jing decided it was enough and speared through Ji Tingyue’s heart, ending the ridiculous fight in Hua Lidian’s eyes.

And in the end, Sikong Jing still appeared to be gasping for breath.

The surviving members of the Ning Family and Peng Family had gloomy, ashen complexions, their faces like the visage of death...

”There is still hope, the two elders from the Xingluo General Academy surely must have won!” The Ning Old Grand Dowager clutched Ning Shouye’s corpse and said through clenched teeth, driven mad...

However, the next instant, the presence from the direction of the old Xingluo Palace site disappeared.

Then came the icy voice of Shen Qingye, ”Members of the Xingluo Academy still in the Long Night Imperial City, listen. One of your elders is dead and the other has fled. If you continue to attack my Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, I shall fight to the very end.”
