Berserk God of War

Chapter 578: Chapter 578: Wolf Guards, Wolf Howl

”Attack!”

Under the leadership of Ning Jingjing and Lian Guang, the members of the 66th Legion, like Dark Winged Dragon Eagles in the night, fiercely plunged into the fray.

One by one, they swiftly beheaded two hundred thousand men.

After that it got easier, and everyone turned around to kill the remaining three hundred thousand.

The Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, like a sinister Grim Reaper’s sword in the night of the jungle, harvested the lives of their pursuers.

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing, having beheaded the commander, drew his bow and shot down all the Flying Bird Knights who were surveilling them from above.

The entire 66th Legion moved fluidly and precisely, like the most accurate cheetah.

In just less than half a moment, the jungle regained its calm, filled only with the low growls of demon beasts, everyone holding their swords, their eyes fixed intently on Sikong Jing as he slowly lowered his bow.

Their expressions were even more determined, their battle intent soaring; this battle had greatly boosted their confidence.

Then, Sikong Jing issued a command, ”Everyone change clothes, immediately put on the attire of the War Soul Army.”

The members of the 66th Legion were shaken to their core, and immediately changed clothes upon understanding Sikong Jing’s intention.

In the blink of an eye, two hundred thousand Black-armored Soldiers had transformed into the appearance of the War Soul Dynasty Army.

At this time, Sikong Jing also changed into the attire of the War Soul Pursuing Commander and then ordered loudly, ”Take a corpse of the War Soul soldier on the horse, chase after the Black Steeds ahead.”

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone mounted the horses of the War Soul Army, took a War Soul corpse, and chased directly.

Before long, they caught up with the Black Steeds ahead. Sikong Jing ordered, ”Change the clothes on the corpses to our attire, throw them onto the Black Steeds, and use their weapons or the surrounding branches to make these corpses sit upright.”

Everyone acted without delay, immediately following the orders.

With two hundred thousand people working together, the process was very efficient, and they were done in no time.

Seeing this, Sikong Jing spoke with satisfaction, ”Depart, target Youmei State City.”

Rumble, rumble...

Four hundred thousand warhorses surged toward the direction of Youmei State City, the sharp smoke from their hooves covering the sky.

Meanwhile, at a location a hundred kilometers from Youmei State City, there was an earth castle checkpoint...

As the billowing dust approached, the soldiers at the castle were stunned and immediately issued an urgent order for all to be on alert.

At this moment, Sikong Jing charged forward and shouted, ”Open the gate... the Long Night Army is coming.”

At these words, the soldiers of the War Soul Dynasty at the castle saw Sikong Jing in the front in the attire of a War Soul commander, and far behind, they saw the Black Steeds belonging to the Long Night Black Burning Army.

In an instant, they all were flabbergasted...

The Long Night Army had actually reached here, chasing a troop of War Soul Elite Soldiers. What was going on?

”Open the gate, quickly!”

The garrison commander of the castle finally reacted, screaming repeatedly as the checkpoint gates were swung wide open.

The garrison commander did not suspect anything; he trusted what his eyes had seen and could not imagine that the Long Night Black Burning 66th Legion, with only two hundred thousand men, would dare attack them.

Just like that, Sikong Jing successfully led the 66th Legion inside.

Then the checkpoint gates of the castle immediately closed, blocking the Black Steeds that were chasing them.

At the same time, the garrison commander of the castle rushed out and, bowing to Sikong Jing, asked, ”May I ask, General, what has happened? Has the frontline army collapsed?”

The castle’s garrison, now completely bewildered,

They had heard that Commander Lu had suffered a terrible defeat by Dark Wing troops previously, and it seemed that there had been a change of command since then. Could it be that they still couldn’t defeat them?

Sikong Jing slowly raised his head and suddenly gave the garrison commander an eerie smile, saying, ”Kill them, spare none!”

Humming...

The Dark Wing Black Burning Sword vibrated through heaven and earth, piercing through all the War Soul Soldiers in the Earth Castle, leaving none alive.

Sikong Jing could not allow anyone to send back reports, otherwise Lu Lungan would immediately bring his troops.

The soldiers of the Earth Castle wailed like ghosts and howled like wolves, and then suddenly everything quieted down.

In the blink of an eye, they had killed everyone in the whole Earth Castle.

Afterwards, Sikong Jing immediately ordered the gate to be opened, allowing the Black Steeds behind to enter, then continued to lead his troops towards Youmei State City.

By now, everyone knew Sikong Jing’s plan, which was to disguise as the War Soul Dynasty Army pursued by the Long Night Army, trick the Earth Castle’s garrison into opening the gates, and then capture the checkpoint as quickly as possible...

It would also prevent the checkpoint’s garrison from sending messages to Lu Lungan.

As long as their 66th Army killed fast enough, the checkpoint’s garrison wouldn’t have time to send messages.

On the journey that followed, there were two more checkpoints, and Sikong Jing repeated the tactic, successfully making his way to Youmei State City.

And Sikong Jing was still the same, telling the Youmei State City’s garrison commander, ”Quickly open the city gate, the Long Night Army is coming.”

Suddenly, all the commanders on the walls of Youmei State City were stunned.

They looked at the approaching Sikong Jing and his men, then at the Black Steeds chasing from behind, and instantly felt a chill run down their spines.

But Youmei State City was ultimately a large city, and its garrison commander was much more powerful than the previous three checkpoints, quickly inquiring, ”May I ask which general below, under which Vice Commander, and what is the situation at the front?”

He did not trust Sikong Jing easily but was vigilant as opening the city gate was a major matter.

But Sikong Jing just snorted coldly and slowly commanded, ”Wolf Guards, wolf howl!”

As soon as his words fell, the Absolute Night Wolf Guards immediately let out a sky-high wolf howl, while other Dark Wing Soldiers mimicked howling, a terrifying beastly aura shooting straight towards the sky, advancing towards the soldiers on the walls of Youmei State City.

Suddenly, the Youmei Guardian General’s face changed drastically, and he hurriedly said, ”So, it’s the Beast Blood Soldiers, my apologies, open the city gate quickly.”

Beast Blood Soldiers were unique to the War Soul Dynasty, a symbol directly controlled by Commander Lu Lungan.

They obeyed only the commander’s orders.

Even though the Long Night Empire had obtained the Warrior Secret Technique, they couldn’t replicate the pure beast blood aura, so the Youmei Guardian General was convinced at once and ordered the city gate to be opened.

What he did not know was that the supposed Beast Blood Soldiers below actually numbered only seven hundred.

And the reason their beast blood aura was so pure was because... the Wolf Guards had all cultivated Sikong Jing’s ”Absolute Night Wolf King Technique.”

Even due to the ”Absolute Night Wolf King Technique,” the aura of the mere seven hundred men covered the entire 66th Legion, making it appear as if two hundred thousand men were roaring in unison, full of wolfish ferocity!

In any case, Sikong Jing had succeeded in a flash, and the thunderous sound of the opening gate resounded.

The city gates were opened, and Sikong Jing, expressionless, led two hundred thousand men charging in, and then hurriedly ascended the city walls to meet with the garrison commander above.

The Youmei Guardian General bowed deeply to Sikong Jing and asked, ”General, what exactly happened at the front line?”

As the garrison commander of Youmei State City, his Martial Arts Realm had reached the extraordinary second realm.

It wasn’t easy for Sikong Jing to kill him by leaping ranks, so Sikong Jing didn’t immediately act and responded hoarsely, ”The front has collapsed, the Long Night Black Burning Army has broken through.”

At these words, the entire Youmei State City army’s faces changed drastically, and they were thrown into utter chaos.

”Quickly, shoot arrows, this is their advance army, chasing us... it’s said to be the Dark Wing Camp.”

With this statement from Sikong Jing, the face of the Youmei Guardian General grew even grimmer. The name Dark Wing was already well-known, and the Dark Wing Camp was naturally extremely terrifying; they had previously wiped out the War Soul Dynasty’s most dreadful War Soul Harvest Army!

”Shoot arrows, quickly shoot arrows, don’t let them get closer,” the Youmei Guardian General yelled furiously to the soldiers on top of the wall.
