Berserk God of War

Chapter 573: Chapter 573: The Cost of Using Me

”I, Sikong Jing.”

Sikong Jing introduced himself indifferently, and then the Vice Commanders, who were not familiar with Sikong Jing, finally froze. Their reaction was the same as Cao Yi and Ning Jingjing’s just now, staring at him stupidly.

The Vice Commanders had all guessed that Dark Wings was Sikong Jing.

At the same time, Cheng Yusu slightly widened his eyes; he had certainly heard of Sikong Jing... When Ji Tan sent the corpse of Dark Wings, he mentioned it in the letter and knew that it was because of the name Sikong Jing that Beigong Xianfeng was killed by Mo Ci.

”So it is Sikong Genius. May I know what brings you to Youye State City?”

Cheng Yusu adjusted his emotions before giving orders for his guards to step back and then asked with a narrowed smile.

”I’m planning to take a trip to War Soul Dynasty, so I was just passing through.”

Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders, then added, ”I just happened to hear Commander Cheng’s words, so I came down to confirm it.”

As these words came out, Cheng Yusu was slightly stunned. Sikong Jing was actually going to the War Soul Dynasty?

”But, Commander Cheng, you were a bit unfair. Dark Wings was killed by the Emperor and me together, yet you didn’t mention me at all,” Sikong Jing said with narrowed eyes, annoyed.

Cheng Yusu’s mouth twitched, and then he nodded, saying, ”It was my mistake... Dark Wings was indeed killed by the hands of Sikong Genius.”

It turned out Sikong Jing had come down to testify because Cheng Yusu had not mentioned him.

Damn it, I was using the corpse of Dark Wings to subdue the army. Why mention you for nothing? But now that Sikong Jing had come down, he had no choice but to mention it.

Having said that, Cheng Yusu suddenly turned his gaze to the tens of millions in the army below and roared out, ”Did you hear that? This is Sikong Jing Genius. You heard what he said... Dark Wings was trying to assassinate the Emperor.”

However, Cheng Yusu’s words were still useless. The Long Night Army roared in frenzy; why should they believe Sikong Jing?

The army did not know much about Sikong Jing, no matter what kind of genius he was.

At that moment, Vice Commanders like Cao Yi came to their senses and began to soothe and suppress the Long Night Black Burning Army with all sorts of persuasive words, and the generals of the ninety-nine legions, seeing this, also began to calm the troops.

Eventually, they managed to soothe the Long Night Black Burning Army.

Apart from Ning Jingjing, the ninety-eight generals knew very well that after Dark Wings’ death, they had no chance to resist Cheng Yusu. In this period, Cheng Yusu had been secretly contacting them, pressuring them with their families.

If Dark Wings were alive, they could’ve resisted, but now resisting Cheng Yusu was meaningless.

As for Cao Yi and Ning Jingjing and others, they knew clearly that Dark Wings was Sikong Jing. Now that Sikong Jing had appeared, it proved that it was his arrangement... so they, of course, followed suit in calming the situation.

Seeing the Long Night Army gradually calming down, Cheng Yusu smiled very contentedly.

He could finally completely control the Long Night Black Burning Army. He was no longer a puppet. It truly felt damn good!

Thinking this, Cheng Yusu couldn’t help but want to laugh loudly. Then he looked again towards Sikong Jing, saying with a smile, ”Sikong Genius, thank you for testifying for me. Would you like to come to the city tower for a chat?”

To Cheng Yusu, Ji Tan, the great heir, had suggested that it would be best to win Sikong Jing over, so he might as well talk to him first.

It would be great to make friends with such a talented person.

On hearing this, Sikong Jing smiled faintly and approached Cheng Yusu without giving an answer, who beamed even brighter, thinking that Sikong Jing had agreed. If he could win over this man for the great heir, it would be a great achievement indeed!

However, in the next instant, Sikong Jing suddenly stretched out his hand and, without any warning, lashed out.

Smack!

A crisp slap echoed on Cheng Yusu’s face, leaving Cheng Yusu stunned, the nearby guards stupefied, and the tens of millions of soldiers beneath the city dumbfounded... Sikong Jing had actually slapped Cheng Yusu in public.

Boom!

In the next moment, Cheng Yusu’s entire body erupted with True Qi, bellowing repeatedly, ”Sikong Jing, you dare to hit me?”

The guards of the White Flame Army around him exploded into action, drawing their weapons and pointing them directly at Sikong Jing.

Yet Sikong Jing remained calm and fearless, and coldly spoke, ”I heard that Beigong Xianfeng died because of me, that someone informed Mo Ci from Wangyou Sect, saying that Beigong Xianfeng knew my whereabouts...”

”And that person would be you, wouldn’t it? Cheng Yusu.”

As these words were uttered, Cheng Yusu’s head shot up, the person in question was in fact the grand prince Ji Tan.

A fierce light flashed in Cheng Yusu’s eyes, and he growled, ”Sikong Jing, what nonsensical babble are you spouting? I don’t understand.”

Sikong Jing curled his lips into a smile, his voice cold as he said, ”You really think I was just passing by?”

”A few days ago in Long Night Imperial City, I stumbled upon people from Wangyou Sect surrounding the Beigong Family. It was the Sect itself that spoke of it, naturally, your name wasn’t mentioned, but if not you, then who could it be?”

”With Beigong Xianfeng dead, you stand to gain the most.”

”Although Beigong Xianfeng’s death has little to do with me, I detest being used by others.”

”So, you, Cheng Yusu, must pay a price.”

His voice carried the chill of ice, reaching for the skies as Sikong Jing slowly raised his spear, pointing it straight at Cheng Yusu.

”Sikong Jing, you dare threaten Commander Cheng, you’re courting death!”

Just then, a guard of the Extraordinary Realm was the first to charge over, fiercely slamming a knife towards Sikong Jing.

Clang!

Sikong Jing chuckled coldly, parried with his spear, and a shower of sparks erupted.

The next instant, Sikong Jing used the force to make a turnaround and withdrew from the city wall, the Ice Soul Cold Eagle timely appearing to catch him.

Standing atop the Ice Soul Cold Eagle, Sikong Jing coldly shouted, ”Ice Soul Cold Spear...”

Swish swish swish...

Harnessing the power of the Ice Soul Cold Eagle from the Extraordinary Fifth Realm, Sikong Jing unleashed a flurry of ten spears in an instant, each following the other toward Cheng Yusu’s guards, and thump thump thump... each guard’s chest was pierced through.

Including the guard of the Extraordinary Realm, none could withstand a single spear from Sikong Jing.

After completing ten spears, Sikong Jing rode the Ice Soul Cold Eagle directly up into the sky, shouting towards the direction of the wall, ”Cheng Yusu, I slapped you across the face and cut down ten of your guards, that’s the price you have to pay.”

”Remember, dare to use me again, and I’ll kill your entire family!”

Having said that, Sikong Jing controlled the Ice Soul Cold Eagle to dive directly down below the city, landing above the Long Night Black Burning Army amidst a great commotion... but for the moment, no one made a move against Sikong Jing.

And there, Sikong Jing had already descended above Ning Jingjing, asking, ”General Ning, now that Beigong Xianfeng is dead and that trash Cheng Yusu has become the chief commander, why don’t you leave with me?”

As soon as he said this, Ning Jingjing and the members of the 66th Army all froze, not understanding what Sikong Jing meant.

However, when no one was looking, Ning Jingjing’s hand had already found a crumpled piece of paper, and she also saw Sikong Jing give a gentle shake of his head. In an instant, Ning Jingjing understood...

Sikong Jing was telling her to refuse.

”Sikong Jing, I am a General of the Long Night Empire, I cannot leave with you, sorry,” Ning Jingjing said tightly clutching the crumpled piece of paper.

To this, Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders and replied, ”Alright then.”

Suddenly looking up again, he coldly warned, ”Cheng Yusu, General Ning Jingjing is my friend. In battle, you’d better look out for her, or else... I’ll still kill your entire family.”

After finishing, Sikong Jing rode the Ice Soul Cold Eagle straight into the sky, his laughter trailing behind him as he headed towards the War Soul Dynasty.

At this moment, Cheng Yusu was trembling all over, roaring, ”Long Night Black Burning Army, hear me, loose your arrows and kill him.”
