Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 95: Chapter 93: Three-headed Dog, Snow Fox Castle

”You came all the way from the Ice Wolf Domain just to satisfy your curiosity? You think I’d believe that?”

”Don’t waste our time. Just say it, what do you really want?”

If Roy had come to borrow the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map at any other time, Allen might have believed his excuse.

But at a time like this, he didn’t believe a single word.

”Alright, I won’t hide it from you. I came to borrow the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map mainly to make a copy for my collection.”

”Of course, if you happen to have several Inheritance Maps, I wouldn’t mind acquiring an original for my collection.”

Roy looked at Allen with a calm expression and said slowly.

From the very beginning, he never expected Allen to believe the excuse about satisfying his curiosity.

The only reason he used it as an opening excuse was to set the stage, to make the ’copying for a collection’ story seem more believable.

”Copying for a collection?”

”Since when did you pick up a hobby like that? You’re not a collector of Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps, are you?”

Allen continued to ask.

”I didn’t have much interest before, but things are different now.”

”By now, you should already know that the Dark Night Knight is my teacher.”

”My teacher has a hobby of collecting Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps. As his student, I’m preparing to cultivate the same hobby.”

Roy replied.

After hearing his answer, Allen thought for a few seconds, then looked at him seriously and said, ”I can lend you the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map to copy for one day, but I have a condition.”

”What condition?”

Roy asked.

”It’s simple. I want you to take a trip to the Snow Fox Domain.”

”Miria wants to kill a few people, but she can’t handle it alone. She was hoping I’d go and help her out.”

”I was originally planning to find some time to go myself, but since you’re here, you can make the trip for me.”

Allen said quickly, without any hesitation.

’Just killing people?’

’That’s something I happen to be very good at!’

After sighing to himself, Roy continued to ask, ”Who does she want to kill?”

”She didn’t say. But one thing’s for sure: the person she wants to kill is definitely not Count Frost Bear.”

”If her target were Count Frost Bear, she wouldn’t be looking for me, but for your teacher, the Dark Night Knight.”

Allen replied.

Although he had never fought Roy, he was certain that Roy’s strength was no less than his own.

After all, Roy’s teacher was the Dark Night Knight.

As long as there wasn’t a Great Knight among the people Miria wanted to kill, he wasn’t worried that Roy would fail.

After Allen finished speaking, Roy fell silent.

After thinking for a few seconds, he finally replied, ”I can make the trip for you.”

”However, I want to finish copying the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map before I go.”

Allen wasn’t surprised that Roy wanted to finish copying before he left.

If he were in Roy’s shoes, he would have made the same request.

”How long will you need to make the copy?”

Allen looked at Roy calmly and asked slowly.

”Two or three hours.”

Roy originally wanted to say half an hour would be enough.

But after thinking for a moment, he gave the answer of two to three hours instead.

If the time was too short, it would easily arouse Allen’s suspicion.

”No problem. Wait for me here. I’ll go get the Inheritance Map for you.”

Allen said slowly.

”Alright.”

Roy replied.

Allen said no more and started back toward Giant Monster Castle.

In less than ten minutes, he returned to Roy with the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map and casually handed it to him.

”I’ll be back in three hours to get the Inheritance Map.”

”If you finish copying it early, you can also come find me at the castle.”

”With your skills, sneaking into the castle should be no problem at all.”

Allen wasn’t the least bit worried that Roy would take the Inheritance Map and run.

The Giant Monster Breathing Technique was a Bloodline Breathing Technique.

Unless one possessed the bloodline of the Adams Clan, it was impossible to practice.

Besides, even if the Giant Monster Breathing Technique were a Universal Breathing Technique, he didn’t think an Excellent Level Universal Breathing Technique would be enough for Roy to throw away his credibility.

For other Knights, an Excellent Level Universal Breathing Technique was very difficult to obtain.

But for them, as members of the Second Son Brotherhood, it wasn’t that difficult—it just required spending some time completing missions.

Roy took the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map and said quickly, ”I’ll finish copying it as soon as possible.”

Allen nodded and left the forest.

As soon as Allen disappeared from sight, Roy didn’t hesitate for a moment, immediately entering the Chaos Square.

After looking over the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map, he decisively began his Cultivation.

Time trickled by.

In less than half an hour, Skill Level information that only he could see appeared before him.

[Giant Monster Breathing Technique Skill Level +2]

[Giant Monster Breathing Technique: Tier One (2/1000)]

Closing the Skill Proficiency Panel, Roy did not leave the Chaos Square but continued his Cultivation of the Giant Monster Breathing Technique.

「Two hours later.」

He opened the Skill Proficiency Panel once more and glanced at the Skill Level of his Giant Monster Breathing Technique.

[Giant Monster Breathing Technique: Tier One (907/1000)]

’Has my Cultivation efficiency increased to 450 points per hour?’

’Not bad!’

’Upgrading the Iron Claw Bear Seed wasn’t a waste after all!’

Although the Skill Proficiency Panel offered no explanation, Roy knew this increase was because he had upgraded the Tier Seven Iron Claw Bear Seed to the Tier Eight Horror Claw Bear Seed.

Closing the Skill Proficiency Panel, he gazed into the gray fog to check on the situation in the forest.

After confirming no one else was nearby, he left the Chaos Square, returned to the forest, and walked toward Giant Monster Castle.

...

「Snow Fox Domain.」

After returning the Giant Monster Breathing Technique’s Inheritance Map to Allen, Roy wasted no time, traveling over mountains and across ridges until he arrived outside Snow Fox Castle.

Like Giant Monster Castle, Snow Fox Castle had also entered a state of combat readiness.

However, compared to Giant Monster Castle, Snow Fox Castle’s defensive forces were far smaller.

If Roy remembered correctly, there were fewer than fifty soldiers inside Snow Fox Castle.

As for Official Knights, there were only Miria and her sister.

Roy didn’t enter Snow Fox Castle immediately. Instead, he stayed in the surrounding forest, carefully studying the castle.

During the Snow Fox Tragedy, the Wandering Knights of unknown origin didn’t just go on a killing spree inside the castle and frantically plunder its treasures.

When they left, they also set fire to and burned down the castle’s main keep.

The current main keep was rebuilt after Miria became Baron Snow Fox.

Although the castle’s location and name hadn’t changed, compared to before, the current Snow Fox Castle gave off a very incongruous feeling.

Roy had never been to Snow Fox Castle before.

However, he could clearly see the mismatch between the main keep and the castle walls.

To put it simply, the rebuilt main keep was too small, making the castle’s interior feel somewhat empty and deserted.

After studying Snow Fox Castle, Roy took out a pure white mask and put it on.

Then, he began to infiltrate Snow Fox Castle.

Effortlessly, he scaled the castle walls and reached the main keep without alerting anyone.

Just as he was about to head to the study, as he rounded a corner on the stairs, he heard the sound of a dog barking coming from underground.

The barking was very faint, so faint that an ordinary person would never have been able to hear it.

If his hearing weren’t so sharp, he wouldn’t have been able to hear it either.

Upon hearing this faint and unusual bark, a guess flashed through Roy’s mind.

’Three-headed Dog!’

’The barking from underground could be the sound of a Three-headed Dog.’

Although he didn’t know if his guess was correct, he had no intention of going down to investigate.

Pushing aside his curiosity, he turned and headed upstairs.

Soon, he arrived outside the study on the second floor.

Hearing someone inside the study, he raised his right hand and knocked on the door.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

”Come in!”

The second the knocking sounded, Miria’s voice came from within.

Roy said nothing, pushed the door open, and walked straight in.
