Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 67: Chapter 65: Destruction Sword, Fighting Qi Exhausted

”We didn’t know the Wesley Clan was connected to you, Lord Dark Night. We’ll leave immediately.”

A brawny, rugged-looking Bounty Hunter in his forties quickly said.

Although he had never dealt with the man before, Roy knew this was ”Mad Bear” Bocar, a High Tier Knight.

He didn’t answer Bocar, instead sweeping his cold gaze over him and his men.

Then, with a casual flourish, he flicked the blood from his blade.

Seeing this, the expressions on Bocar and the others instantly turned grim.

Just then, a Bounty Hunter in black Light Armor wielding a Thrusting Sword shouted, ”He’s only one man! Don’t be afraid of him!”

”If we all attack together, there’s no way he can kill all of us!”

”When his Fighting Qi runs out, that’s when he’ll die!”

”Kill him, and we’ll split the bounty from Count Rock Lion!”

’Deplete my Fighting Qi?’

’A nice thought!’

’Too bad you can’t do it!’

Roy shot the man a look as if he were an idiot, sheathed his sword, and began to use Fighting Qi Substantiation—an ability only a Great Knight could master.

Under the watchful eyes of Bocar, his men, and the castle’s soldiers, a white, flame-like Fighting Qi erupted from his right hand.

The next second, this White Fighting Qi condensed into a massive white greatsword. Its design was exaggerated, filled with a wild beauty, its blade abnormally wide and shaped almost like a saber.

The Destruction Sword!

The greatsword Roy had condensed from Fighting Qi was identical in shape to the Destruction Sword from Final Fantasy VII.

He had even replicated the golden wings on either side of the hilt.

If there were any flaw, it was that the color was slightly off, and it lacked a metallic texture.

Fighting Qi Destruction Sword!

Roy casually named the Fighting Qi greatsword in his hand the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword.

Although the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword’s design was unique and its size exaggerated, Bocar and the others paid no mind to this.

They were only concerned with one thing now: Roy’s strength.

’A Great Knight!’

’He’s advanced to Great Knight!’

Seeing Roy use Fighting Qi Substantiation, an ability only a Great Knight could master, Bocar and his men’s faces turned as ugly as could be.

Roy ignored what they were thinking. He hoisted the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword onto his shoulder, manipulated his Fighting Qi to alter his voice, and spoke his first words since entering Ice Wolf Castle.

”One minute to kill you all!”

With that, he lunged without hesitation at the nearest Bounty Hunter.

SHINK!

The Fighting Qi Destruction Sword swung out in a Horizontal Slash, slicing the Bounty Hunter—a Middle Tier Knight by Level—in two at the waist.

Before the man’s body could even hit the ground, Roy was in front of his second target, casually delivering a diagonal slash.

SHINK!

Like the last one, this Bounty Hunter was also cleaved in two by the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword.

The only difference was that the wound on his body was diagonal.

In the blink of an eye, Roy had finished off two Bounty Hunters.

Witnessing this, Bocar and the others didn’t hesitate. They channeled their Fighting Qi to its limit and scattered in all directions.

Their Speed was not slow.

If anyone other than Roy was chasing them—say, another Bronze Great Knight—one or two might have actually escaped.

But unfortunately for them, the one hunting them down was Roy.

Bocar and his men escaped Ice Wolf Castle, but they couldn’t escape his pursuit.

Wielding the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword and covered in the white, flame-like Fighting Qi, he caught up to them with ease.

SHINK! SHINK! SHINK...

The Fighting Qi Destruction Sword continuously slashed through the bodies of Bocar and his men, killing them one by one in the most direct and brutal way possible.

In less than thirty seconds, Roy had slaughtered every last one of them.

After finishing them off, Roy dispelled the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword without hesitation and returned to Ice Wolf Castle.

As he returned to the square in front of the main keep, an armored Tony was just coming out.

Tony had never seen the Dark Night Knight before.

However, upon seeing the mask he wore, Tony immediately understood who he was.

Roy merely glanced at Tony before looking away, quickly moving to Sir Adam, whose hands had been severed.

Under Tony’s gaze, he seized Sir Adam by the shoulder and lifted him up.

He said nothing, simply taking Sir Adam with him as he left Ice Wolf Castle.

「A few minutes later.」

In the forest near Ice Wolf Castle, Roy tossed Sir Adam to the ground like a piece of trash.

He didn’t interrogate Sir Adam right away, instead unhurriedly removing his mask.

When he took off the mask, a look of utter disbelief appeared on Sir Adam’s face, which was already pale from blood loss.

Roy ignored Sir Adam’s shock and said, ”Two questions.”

”First, who hired you to attack Ice Wolf Castle?”

”Second, how did you get in?”

The moment he recognized Bocar and the others, Roy knew they had been hired to attack Ice Wolf Castle.

If it had just been Sir Adam alone, it might have been a personal grudge.

But with over ten Bounty Hunters attacking Ice Wolf Castle together, being hired was the only possibility.

”I’ll die if I talk, and I’ll die if I don’t!”

”Since the outcome is death either way, of course I’ll choose not to talk.”

Sir Adam quickly replied.

”You’re right. Whether you talk or not, you’re a dead man tonight.”

”But some deaths are easy, and some are very painful.”

Roy looked at Sir Adam with a calm expression.

He was already prepared to use torture to make the man talk.

If Sir Adam didn’t cooperate, he wouldn’t mind gaining some interrogation experience on him.

Sir Adam said nothing, his expression defiant, as if to say, ’If you’re going to kill me, then do it.’

If his hands hadn’t been cut off by Roy, he might have tried begging for mercy.

He might not have survived even if he begged, but at least there would have been a sliver of hope.

But now, his hands were gone.

Even if he were lucky enough to live, he would be nothing but a complete cripple.

Watching the silent Sir Adam, Roy retrieved Ghoul’s Fang from Chaos Square and said slowly, ”I once read about a form of torture called Lingchi.”

”Lingchi, as it’s called, involves slicing pieces of flesh from a person’s body one by one.”

”Typically, it’s just eight cuts.”

”First the face, then the hands and feet, the chest, the abdomen, and finally, the head.”

”Besides the basic eight-cut Lingchi, there are also more advanced methods: twenty-four cuts, thirty-six, seventy-two, one hundred and twenty, and so on.”

”It is said that the ultimate form of Lingchi is death by a thousand cuts.”

”An ordinary person could never withstand a thousand cuts, and my skills aren’t at that level either.”

”However, you are a Middle Tier Knight. Your endurance should be much greater than an ordinary person’s.”

”I’ve never performed Lingchi on anyone before. I’m quite curious just how many cuts a Middle Tier Knight can endure.”

”I bet you can last for one hundred and twenty cuts!”

”Do your best!”

”I believe in you!”

With that, Roy walked over to Sir Adam and squatted down, his face a mask of calm.

The next second, Ghoul’s Fang flashed in his right hand like Lightning, carving a piece of cheek flesh slightly larger than a Copper Coin from Sir Adam’s left face.

Blood instantly stained Sir Adam’s left cheek, and the intense pain made him unconsciously clench his teeth.

Roy ignored his reaction. Ghoul’s Fang swung out again, slicing off his left ear.

Sir Adam still didn’t speak, enduring the pain and glaring at Roy with a murderous look.

If looks could kill, Roy would have been dead dozens of times over.

But unfortunately for him, looks can’t kill.

Roy paid no mind to Sir Adam’s glare and swung Ghoul’s Fang once more.

Three cuts, four, five, six...

At this moment, Roy was like a plastic surgeon, continuously ’correcting’ Sir Adam’s face with Ghoul’s Fang.

Although Sir Adam remained silent, he was certain it was only a matter of time before he broke.

’He hasn’t forgotten that Sir Adam was a gambling addict!’

’If Sir Adam’s will were truly that strong, he would have quit gambling long ago!’

’He can’t even quit gambling, yet he’s trying to act like a tough guy!’
