Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 83: Chapter 81: Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff

Big!

Very big!

Big and black!

This was Roy’s first reaction upon seeing the Earth Dragon.

Just like the ones he’d read about in books, the Earth Dragon looked like a wingless Giant Dragon.

But even without wings, the Earth Dragon was still a terrifying Fierce Beast through and through.

An adult Earth Dragon could reach fifteen meters in length.

A Mature Stage one could grow to be twenty meters long.

It had thick, powerful limbs, a mouth full of sharp teeth, razor-sharp claws, black scales like Fine Steel, and a massive body that dwarfed ordinary creatures.

Even doing nothing, just lying quietly on the ground, the Earth Dragon exuded an immense, oppressive aura.

At that moment, Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count were leading their Clan Knights in a continuous assault against the Earth Dragon.

They and their Clan Knights had formed an encirclement, trapping the Earth Dragon completely.

In addition to common weapons like Cross Swords, long spears, Bows and Arrows, and Shields, they were also using Capture Nets woven from thick iron chains and Rope Traps.

Furthermore, on the outer edge of the encirclement, there were Giant Crossbows, similar to Siege Crossbows.

The end of each Crossbow Arrow was also tied to a thick iron chain.

As the strongest members of their respective teams, Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count naturally served as the main force.

But even as the main force, their goal wasn’t to kill the Earth Dragon together. It was to distract it, giving their Clan Knights a chance to use the specially-made Capture Nets and Rope Traps.

Roy didn’t act immediately. Like the other Knights who had ventured into the forest, he found a sturdy tree outside the encirclement, perched himself on a branch, and watched the performance of Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count with great interest.

They were both Black Iron Great Knights in the prime of their lives, their bodies and Fighting Qi still at their peak.

In terms of strength, they were both a little stronger than Count Rock Lion.

But despite their considerable strength, the Earth Dragon was clearly stronger.

If the Earth Dragon weren’t so unintelligent, fighting only on instinct, they wouldn’t have been able to trap it even by working together.

Using their Fighting Qi Weapons, they managed to leave considerable wounds on the Earth Dragon’s body.

The wounds weren’t fatal, but they still caused the Earth Dragon a great deal of trouble.

This was because their Clan Knights were continuously firing poisoned Arrows into the wounds.

The Earth Dragon’s scales had decent Defense Power.

Leather Armor made from Earth Dragon Hide could rival Heavy Armor forged from Fine Steel.

After watching from the branch for a few minutes, Roy began to circulate his Fighting Qi. A flame-like, silvery-white Fighting Qi surged from his hand, rapidly condensing into the form of a Destruction Sword.

In the blink of an eye, a silvery-white Fighting Qi Destruction Sword appeared in his hand.

After forming the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword, he didn’t hesitate. He covered his entire body in the silvery-white Fighting Qi, then launched himself toward the Earth Dragon with an explosive burst of power from his legs.

He soon appeared in the line of sight of Count Frost Bear, the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count, and their men.

”This Earth Dragon is mine!”

Roy declared, his eyes sweeping over Count Frost Bear and his group.

’The Dark Night Knight?’

’What’s he doing here?’

Upon seeing him, displeasure immediately clouded the faces of Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count.

Although they had been busy hunting the Earth Dragon, they had still heard the news that the Dark Night Knight had killed Count Rock Lion.

Count Frost Bear glanced at the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count, who was currently distracting the Earth Dragon, then turned to Roy and said, ”This Earth Dragon is our prey. Leave now, and we can pretend this never happened.”

’Leave?’

Hearing Count Frost Bear’s words, Roy said nothing. He simply raised his Fighting Qi Destruction Sword and swung it at the Count from a distance.

Frost Slash!

As the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword descended, a crescent-shaped wave of ice-blue Fighting Qi shot toward Count Frost Bear like a bolt of Lightning.

Count Frost Bear didn’t dodge, nor did he simply stand there and wait for death.

The moment Roy swung his Fighting Qi Destruction Sword, the Count swung his own Fighting Qi Cross Sword, releasing a slash of White Fighting Qi.

Although Count Frost Bear found it strange that the color of Roy’s Fighting Qi Slash was different from his Fighting Qi, he didn’t dwell on it.

In his mind, the Fighting Qi Slash he had unleashed should have been enough to block Roy’s attack.

As it turned out, he had overestimated himself.

Putting aside the fact that Roy was now using Frost Slash...

...even a normal Fighting Qi Slash from Roy was not something his own could have blocked.

BOOM!

The instant they made contact, the crescent of White Fighting Qi exploded and disintegrated!

The ice-blue crescent of Fighting Qi, meanwhile, continued toward Count Frost Bear with undiminished power.

’How is this possible?’

Count Frost Bear’s face was a mask of disbelief.

Although he didn’t understand what was happening, he wasn’t foolish enough to stand there and wait to die. He leaped forcefully to the side, dodging the ice-blue crescent of Fighting Qi.

He managed to dodge it, but the Knights behind him weren’t so lucky.

SCHHNNK!

The ice-blue crescent of Fighting Qi swept through the bodies of three Knights like the Grim Reaper’s scythe, slicing them in two.

The three slain Knights were not all subordinates of Count Frost Bear; some of them served the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count.

Roy paid the three unlucky souls no mind, instead continuing to channel his Fighting Qi to unleash his Dragon’s Battle Roar.

ROAR!!!

A tremendous roar, imbued with Dragon Mighty and sounding like that of an Ancient Giant Dragon, instantly echoed through half the forest!

The Middle and High Tier Knights on the outskirts of the encirclement were the first to succumb. Their legs gave out, and they collapsed to the ground uncontrollably.

The other Knights watching the spectacle from outside the encirclement also began to drop from the trees one after another, as if struck by arrows.

The Peak Knights fared slightly better, but they too couldn’t hold on for long.

As for Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count, they remained standing.

However, expressions of uncontrollable fear appeared on their faces.

Even the Earth Dragon, whose aggression had been focused on the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count, instinctively took a few steps back, its enormous, golden, vertical pupils turning involuntarily toward Roy.

Compared to when he killed Count Rock Lion, the Skill Level of his Dragon’s Battle Roar hadn’t increased much; it was still at Tier One.

But because Roy had advanced to Silver Great Knight, the power of the Dragon’s Battle Roar had increased accordingly.

When the terrifying, Dragon Mighty-infused roar faded, Count Frost Bear didn’t hesitate, quickly saying, ”The Earth Dragon is yours, Your Excellency.”

Having said that, he abandoned the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count and left without a backward glance.

Seeing this, Count Frost Bear’s Clan Knights helped up their companions who were too paralyzed by fear to stand, and followed their lord in retreat.

After Count Frost Bear left, Roy’s gaze fell upon the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count.

Before he could speak, the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count immediately said, ”Since Your Excellency wants this Earth Dragon, then by all means, it is yours.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, he activated his Fighting Qi and departed decisively, without a moment’s hesitation.

Soon, the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count’s men and the spectating Knights also vanished from Roy’s sight.

Once they had all departed, the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword in Roy’s hand reverted to its flame-like form.

He then condensed it into a Fighting Qi Long Staff, nearly two meters in length.

The Fighting Qi Long Staff was as thick as a grown man’s forearm. Wrapped around both ends were creatures unknown to the people of this world: they had serpentine bodies, but also four limbs, sharp claws, fangs, and horns upon their heads.

Dragons!

The creatures coiled around the ends of the Fighting Qi Long Staff were none other than the legendary Divine Dragons from the tales of the Zhonghua Family.

Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff!

Roy gave the staff a casual flourish, then, holding the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff, he walked unhurriedly toward the Earth Dragon.
