Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 55: Chapter 54: All Laws Unite, Tier Ten Legend

Following the guards, Roy and the others arrived at an inn not far from the Minister of Military Affairs’ mansion.

It was clear that the inn had already been requisitioned.

After bringing them to the inn, the guards left.

An attendant from the inn quickly approached them, respectfully inquiring about their identities.

As the representatives of their respective families, Roy, Baron Giant Monster, and Miria were given a suite.

As for Allen, Bandi, and the others, they were assigned regular rooms.

Although they were just regular rooms, their décor and furnishings were easily on par with the high-level rooms in the outer city’s inns.

After all, this was an inn in the Royal Capital’s Inner City, and one located near the Minister of Military Affairs’ mansion at that.

In the suite on the third floor.

After a long, comfortable soak in the bath, Roy changed into a fresh set of clothes. With a single thought, he entered Chaos Square.

Without any hesitation, he immediately opened the Skill Proficiency Panel to check the Skill Level of his Secret Techniques.

[Dragon’s Battle Roar: Tier One (240/1000), Special Effect: Basic Dragon Mighty]

[Frost Slash: Tier One (250/1000), Special Effect: Basic Frost Power]

[Blood Mark: Tier One (240/1000)]

He had spent the last ten-odd days on the road, but he still hadn’t neglected the cultivation of his Secret Techniques.

At his current rate of cultivation, he would be able to get these three Secret Techniques to Tier Two in just over a month.

’Although I don’t know how many Tiers these three Secret Techniques have in total, one thing is for sure—it’s definitely more than one.’

’The Skill Proficiency Panel provided specific Levels, but the classification standards differed for each type of skill.’

’Breathing Techniques and Meditation Techniques were a perfect example.’

’The Level of a Breathing Technique corresponded to different Knight Levels and overall power.’

’The classification for Meditation Techniques, on the other hand, was a bit different.’

’According to the Skill Proficiency Panel’s current classification, the incomplete version of the Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method has twelve Tiers in total.’

’Once I cultivate it to the limit of Tier Twelve, I’ll be able to master 12 Will Runes.’

’Even though its Level is high, the Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method has no Attack Power; its only effect is to increase my Spiritual Power.’

’Furthermore, I now have reason to suspect the Skill Proficiency Panel divided the incomplete Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method into 12 Levels simply because there are 12 Will Runes in total.’

’If I manage to obtain the complete Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method, the Skill Proficiency Panel will probably reclassify it.’

Before cultivating the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique to its limit, Roy hadn’t known what Tier an Excellent Level Breathing Technique could actually reach.

Now, he not only knew that the limit for an Excellent Level Breathing Technique was Tier Seven, but also that Tier Six corresponded to the rank of Black Iron Great Knight, and Tier Seven to Bronze Great Knight.

’In other words, a Silver Great Knight is Tier Eight, and a Golden Great Knight is Tier Nine.’

’That means cultivating a Breathing Technique to Tier Ten would make someone a Legendary Knight.’

In the thousands of years since the advent of Breathing Techniques, the continent had only ever produced 12 Legendary Knights.

For other Knights, the odds of becoming a Legendary Knight were infinitesimally small.

Roy, however, was fully confident he could become a Legendary Knight.

’If I can’t even become a Legendary Knight with two Golden Fingers, I’d be beyond pathetic.’

’And it doesn’t stop there. For me, Legendary Knight isn’t the final destination.’

’I’m not sure what realms exist beyond Legendary Knight right now.’

’But I believe in one truth: all paths lead to the same destination, All Laws Unite!’

’If Wizards can reach the apex of this world, then so can Knights.’

’Just because no one has managed it before doesn’t mean I can’t.’

’Wizard or Knight!’

’I refuse to choose!’

’As long as they can get me to the apex of the world, I’ll take them all!’

Closing the Skill Proficiency Panel, Roy began his Secret Technique cultivation.

「Time flew by.」

After increasing the Skill Level of Dragon’s Battle Roar, Frost Slash, and Blood Mark by 30 points each, he concluded his Secret Technique cultivation and began practicing the Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method.

「The next morning.」

As the morning sun bathed the Royal Capital in light, Roy stopped his cultivation and returned from Chaos Square to his suite at the inn.

After stretching his limbs, he went to the washroom to freshen up.

Once he had freshened up, he donned his silvery-white armor, fastened his Cross Sword to his side, and left the room, heading for the main hall on the first floor.

’There were still four days until the reporting deadline on the Recruitment Order. Add to that the time needed to organize the Vassal forces...’

’If everything went as expected, the King would formally declare war on the Kalin Kingdom in a week, dispatching the Royal Army and Vassal forces to the Tulip Domain.’

’In other words, I have about a week to make final preparations.’

’In that time, I can further improve the Skill Level of my Breathing Technique and Secret Techniques, and also stock up on supplies.’

’Of course, if I have the time and inclination, I could also spend the week sightseeing and experiencing the culture of the Royal Capital.’

Soon enough, Roy reached the main hall on the first floor.

Half of the tables in the hall were already occupied.

After scanning the room, Roy chose a seat by the window. On the attendant’s recommendation, he ordered a breakfast that was a specialty of the Royal Capital.

Before long, the attendant brought his breakfast over.

After giving the attendant a Silver Coin as a tip, Roy began to eat his breakfast.

As for the food itself, it was no different from the breakfasts he’d had back at Ice Wolf Castle—bread, sausage, bacon, fried eggs, and breakfast tea.

Although the components were the same, the flavor was significantly better.
