Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 82: Chapter 80: Black Stone Forest, Catherine’s Decision

”It’s not in Gel County anymore. It ran off to Gaoyan County.”

”Count Frost Bear took his men to fight it a few times. Not only did they fail to kill it, but it actually took down several of his Clan Knights.”

”The Saw-toothed Crocodile Count of Gaoyan County also tried to capture it, which led to some conflict with Count Frost Bear.”

”If nothing unexpected happens, that Earth Dragon is about to reach its Mature Stage.”

Sandru recalled the intelligence on the Earth Dragon and spoke slowly.

If he weren’t the head of the Second Son Brotherhood in Yorkshire, he would have been tempted to take some men and capture the Earth Dragon himself.

Taming an Earth Dragon is incredibly difficult, but once captured, there’s always a chance of success.

”Hasn’t the organization issued a mission to capture that Earth Dragon?”

Roy asked, looking at Sandru with a calm expression.

”No!”

”If the organization is interested in a certain Fierce Beast, the higher-ups will either capture it themselves or assign a member to do so. They rarely issue missions like that.”

Sandru replied.

”Do you know where in Gaoyan County the Earth Dragon is now?”

Roy continued to ask.

”The last time it appeared was in the Black Stone Forest in Gaoyan County.”

”As for whether it’s still in the Black Stone Forest, I don’t know.”

Sandru said slowly.

”That’s all. You can get back to your work.”

With that, Roy stood up, ready to return to his guest room on the third floor.

Just as he got up, Sandru’s voice rang out.

”Wait, don’t go yet. Tony came looking for me again yesterday and asked me to pass this invitation to the Dark Night Knight.”

Sandru opened a drawer, took out an exquisite invitation, and handed it to Roy.

Roy took the invitation and opened it for a look.

It was an invitation for the Dark Night Knight to attend a dinner at Ice Wolf Castle.

The invitation didn’t specify a time for the dinner.

This wasn’t because Tony had forgotten, but rather to signify that any time was acceptable.

Simply put, he was leaving the decision up to the Dark Night Knight.

”Did he say anything else?”

Roy closed the invitation and asked Sandru.

”No, just to give the invitation to the Dark Night Knight and to convey his gratitude.”

”Also, the Olson Clan and the Wesley Clan jointly announced their alliance yesterday.”

Sandru added quickly.

Roy nodded to show he understood and left the office under Sandru’s gaze.

After returning to his room, he took the invitation into Chaos Square and began his Cultivation of the Secret Techniques.

Time flew by.

「That evening.」

After finishing dinner at a restaurant, Roy was lying in the bathtub, his eyes closed, relaxing his mind and body.

Before long, he heard the footsteps of someone climbing through a window into the living room.

Unlike last time, he didn’t immediately get up to get dressed.

Although he couldn’t see the uninvited guest in the living room, he had already guessed who it was.

Soon, the footsteps reached the bathroom, and the door was slowly pushed open.

Roy opened his eyes and looked at the visitor.

His guess was spot on. The person who opened the bathroom door was none other than Catherine, dressed in a magnificent suit of Hunter’s Clothing.

Under his gaze, Catherine walked straight to the side of the bathtub.

Just as Catherine raised her hands to undo her belt, Roy’s voice sounded.

”Are you sure you want to do this? You won’t regret it?”

Roy said to Catherine.

”Why would I regret it?”

Catherine retorted, removing her belt at the same time.

”As long as you don’t regret it.”

Roy didn’t try to persuade Catherine any further.

As he watched, Catherine removed her magnificent Hunter’s Clothing and undergarments. She knelt beside the tub and, with unskilled hands, began to massage his shoulders and arms.

After enjoying Catherine’s less-than-expert massage, Roy wasted no more time. He got out of the tub, scooped up Catherine, who had quickly washed herself, and headed straight for the bedroom.

Soon, the bedroom was filled with the sounds of a card game not meant for children.

...

Unsurprisingly, Catherine, who had never played cards before, was so thoroughly beaten by Roy that she was left begging for mercy.

When the game was over, Catherine lay beside Roy, looking at him with a satisfied expression. She told him about the alliance between the Olson Clan and the Wesley Clan, and how the Patriarchs of the vassal families had sworn fealty to her.

Although the means by which she had inherited her title were rather bloody, the vast majority of the Patriarchs still recognized her as their Lord and swore their allegiance.

It wasn’t as if they had a choice!

The Patriarchs who didn’t recognize her were not only killed by Wagner and Mitchell, but their bodies were also hung by the castle gates.

After realizing she wasn’t joking, the remaining Patriarchs made a rational and prudent choice.

Thanks to Catherine’s forceful ascension, the chaotic situation in Yorkshire was greatly alleviated.

Although there were still many noble families in Yorkshire enfeoffed by the Royal Family, they all kept a low profile after she came to power.

Families that had been seeking revenge on their rivals stopped their vendettas.

Families trying to take advantage of the chaos to expand their territory also halted their expansion and recalled their troops to their own lands.

When Catherine finished her story, Roy gently caressed her sculpted shoulders and said, ”I’m going to Gaoyan County tomorrow.”

Although he didn’t say what he was going to do in Gaoyan County, Catherine immediately guessed his purpose.

”You want to subjugate that Earth Dragon too?”

Catherine asked immediately.

”Not necessarily subjugate it. I might kill it.”

Roy replied.

For others, an Earth Dragon was indeed an excellent mount. It not only boosted one’s combat power, but also looked impressive.

But he wasn’t dead set on the idea of taming an Earth Dragon for a mount.

If it were a Two-legged Flying Dragon, he would do everything possible to subjugate it as a mount.

After all, he couldn’t fly.

But an Earth Dragon wasn’t a Two-legged Flying Dragon; it held much less appeal for him.

If the Earth Dragon would rather die than submit, then he would just kill it.

”I’ll go with you!”

Catherine said quickly.

”No need. I can go by myself.”

Roy refused Catherine without a second thought.

”Alright.”

”Then when will you be back?”

Catherine looked at Roy with a gentle expression and asked softly.

”If all goes well, I should be back in half a day.”

After he spoke, Roy’s right hand began to wander restlessly over Catherine’s body.

Catherine gave him a seductive glance, and with perfect chemistry, they began a second round. Once again, the sounds not meant for children filled the room.

「The next morning.」

After Catherine left the tavern to return to Rock Lion Castle, Roy also departed from Redwood City and headed for Gaoyan County.

Gaoyan County bordered Yorkshire, located to its east.

At his current Speed, it would only take him a little over an hour to reach the Black Stone Forest in Gaoyan County.

Before he even reached Black Stone Forest, he noticed many other Knights heading there as well.

From the conversations of these Knights, he learned the latest intelligence on the Earth Dragon.

Hunted and cornered by Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count, the Earth Dragon was now trapped inside Black Stone Forest.

To capture this Earth Dragon, both Count Frost Bear and the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count were pulling out all the stops.

They had not only brought the majority of their Clan Knights but had also brought several thousand troops.

Using Black Stone Forest as a dividing line, Count Frost Bear occupied the eastern side.

As the local power, the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count occupied the western side of Black Stone Forest.

Whether they had already come to an agreement or simply didn’t want a third party to profit from their conflict, they hadn’t come to blows. Instead, they had a tacit understanding to block other Knights from entering.

Although they had sent troops to blockade Black Stone Forest, they still couldn’t stop everyone from entering.

A blockade formed by ordinary soldiers was completely unable to stop an Official Knight from breaking through.

Without any effort, Roy arrived in Black Stone Forest.

He had put on his Dark Night Knight mask before even arriving at Black Stone Forest.

Relying on his prowess and Speed, which far surpassed the other Knights, he quickly reached the center of Black Stone Forest. There, he saw the Earth Dragon that neither Count Frost Bear nor the Saw-toothed Crocodile Count was willing to let go of.
