Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 87: Chapter 85: Unrivaled at the Same Level, Legendary Breathing Technique

The higher the Level of a Breathing Technique, the higher its upper limit and the faster its Cultivation speed.

This was especially true at lower Levels.

Take Tony, for example.

He had spent twelve years cultivating the Ordinary Level Ice Wolf Breathing Technique to become a High Tier Knight.

If he had started with an Excellent Level Breathing Technique, it might have only taken him six to eight years.

After hearing Roy, Tony spoke with a serious expression, ”Regardless of whether this Ice Wolf King Breathing Method you created can lead to the Great Knight rank, I will cultivate it diligently.”

”My Cultivation Talent might not be as great as yours, but I’m not without basic judgment.”

”Setting aside everything else, just looking at the number of Cultivation Positions is enough to tell that the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method is no weaker than the Ice Wolf Breathing Technique.”

Tony had never seen the Inheritance Maps for other Breathing Techniques, but he knew that the more Cultivation Positions a technique had, the higher its Level.

Roy knew more about this than Tony did. He slowly explained:

”An Ordinary Level technique has twelve to twenty-four Cultivation Positions. Excellent Level has twenty-five to thirty-six, and Perfect Level has thirty-seven to forty-eight.”

”As for a Legendary Level Breathing Technique, it will have seventy-two Cultivation Positions.”

Although he had never seen a Legendary Breathing Technique himself, he had learned quite a bit about them from Sandru.

Not only that, but he also suspected that the Second Son Brotherhood had descendants of Legendary Knights among its members—descendants of the Sun Flame Knight, for instance.

The moment he finished, Tony asked, ”Did Lord Dark Night Knight tell you all this?”

”Yes.”

Roy replied calmly.

He was finding it increasingly wise to have made his alias, the Dark Night Knight, his nominal teacher.

Any difficult questions could be attributed to the Dark Night Knight.

Tony mulled it over for a moment before saying slowly, ”Rumor has it that Lord Dark Night Knight is a Bronze Great Knight, which is why he was able to so easily defeat Count Rock Lion and tame Xiaobai. Is that true?”

Roy shook his head. ”I’m not sure if my teacher has advanced to Bronze Great Knight yet.”

”He didn’t say, and I didn’t ask.”

Even though Tony wasn’t an outsider, he didn’t intend to reveal too much.

If Tony knew the Dark Night Knight was actually a Silver Great Knight, he might get other ideas.

Afterward, Tony and Roy discussed the fief’s affairs and the matter of Catherine wanting to marry him.

Tony suggested that Roy take a personal hand in managing the fief, but Roy refused without a second thought.

He would rather spend his time in Chaos Square cultivating than waste it on administrative duties.

As for Catherine, Roy used the excuse that he had already met with her before returning to the castle. He told Tony that he and Catherine had agreed to get to know each other first before considering a marriage alliance, which temporarily put the matter to rest.

Tony didn’t object to Roy’s decision.

From his perspective, Catherine was indeed an impeccable choice for a wife.

The problem was, Catherine wanted to marry Roy, not him.

Therefore, no matter what Roy chose to do, Tony would respect his decision.

Of course, if it were possible, he still hoped Roy would marry Catherine.

After all, from any angle, Catherine was a perfect candidate for a wife.

...

「In the bedroom.」

Roy sat in the high-backed chair behind his desk, contemplating his next move.

Count Rock Lion was dead, he had successfully advanced to Silver Great Knight, and he had subjugated Xiaobai.

In other words, he had no particularly urgent matters to attend to.

As for the Ironblood Duke’s retaliation, he could deal with it once the Duke’s men arrived in Yorkshire.

After a moment of thought, he came to a decision.

’Since there’s nothing urgent to handle, I’ll just stick to my cultivation plan.’

He was still unaware that James, the Captain of the Ironblood Duke’s Personal Guard, was currently leading his men toward Yorkshire. He knew even less that the Ironblood Duke had ordered James to bring back his head.

But even if he did know, he wouldn’t have cared.

For one, he had already advanced to Silver Great Knight.

Even if he hadn’t, James would be no match for him.

He was cultivating several Breathing Techniques simultaneously and had mastered ten Secret Techniques. No matter what kind of opponent he faced at the same Level, he could achieve a crushing victory.

To put it arrogantly, he was Unrivaled at the Same Level!

Unless he was ambushed by several opponents of the same Level at once, it would be difficult for him to lose.

As for killing him? That was an absolute impossibility.

With Chaos Square at his disposal, he could escape the battlefield at any moment.

Having made his decision, Roy picked up the Brass Summoning Bell from his desk and shook it gently.

TING-A-LING!

The clear sound of the bell instantly rang out.

A few seconds later, Aili, dressed in a black-and-white maid’s uniform, pushed open the bedroom door and appeared before him.

Before Aili could speak, Roy stood up and walked straight toward her.

”It’s been almost two months since I’ve had one of your massages. Help me relax a bit,” Roy said to Aili.

”Of course, Young Master Roy.”

Aili replied swiftly, without the slightest hesitation.

Then, she raised her hands and skillfully began to unfasten Roy’s armor.

Roy said nothing, allowing Aili to remove his Silver-White Armor and his sword.

Left in just his Hunter’s Clothing, he went and sat on the sofa.

Aili quickly came to his side and began to massage his shoulders, arms, and legs.

Roy didn’t let Aili massage him for long.

After only ten minutes or so, he scooped Aili up into his arms and placed her on the bed.

Aili looked at him, her pretty face flushing crimson as she shyly removed her maid’s uniform.

Soon, sounds not suitable for children filled the bedroom.

...

「Time flew by.」

Five days passed in the blink of an eye.

During these five days, Roy followed his plan, focusing most of his energy on cultivating his Secret Techniques.

He didn’t neglect his Breathing Technique and Meditation Technique, but he only performed his basic daily routine for them, not spending too much time on either.

Five days of intensive training not only raised his Dragon’s Battle Roar, Frost Slash, and Blood Mark to Tier Two, but the Skill Levels for four other Secret Techniques—Ice Flame Slash, Flame Slash, Tornado Slash, and Earth-Splitting Slash—also surpassed 500 points.

As for Fierce Strike, Earth Trample, and Heart of Fury, their Skill Levels were only a little over 100 points.

In addition to cultivating these Secret Techniques himself, he also taught three of them—Blood Mark, Fierce Strike, and Heart of Fury—to Tony.

It wasn’t that he was being stingy; Tony simply couldn’t cultivate the other Secret Techniques.

Secret Techniques like Dragon’s Battle Roar and Frost Slash required special Auxiliary Materials to practice.

The only one that didn’t require Auxiliary Materials, Ice Flame Slash, necessitated simultaneous mastery over the Power of Frost and the Power of Flame.

Besides, those three Secret Techniques—Blood Mark, Fierce Strike, and Heart of Fury—were more than enough to keep Tony busy for a long time.

After all, Tony wasn’t just cultivating Secret Techniques; he was also practicing the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method.

Tony had started cultivating the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method the very afternoon he received its details from Roy.

He immediately discovered that its Cultivation efficiency was indeed much higher than that of the Ice Wolf Breathing Technique.

If he had harbored any doubts about whether the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method could truly lead to the rank of Great Knight before, then now, those doubts were completely gone. He was more convinced than ever that Roy was a Cultivation Talent on par with a Legendary Knight.

If Roy had shown even the slightest interest in the title of Baron Ice Wolf, Tony would have abdicated his position and made Roy the Patriarch of the Wesley Clan in a heartbeat.

Moreover, he was now certain that with Roy around, becoming a Count Clan was not the Wesley Clan’s limit.

If Roy could become a Silver Great Knight, the Wesley Clan could even become a Duke Clan.

Tony had no idea that Roy had already become a Silver Great Knight two days before returning to Ice Wolf Castle.
