Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 239: Chapter 54: Are Players from Other Countries Coming?

Hill watched the players cheering excitedly and began to make an effort to deal with the Magical Beasts, feeling happy in his heart.

”Hill, do you want to let the Magical Beasts out?” Adrian asked, a bit curious.

”Yes!” Hill replied, looking at Alice’s curious eyes and Merkel’s full eyes of doubt, and said with a slight smile, ”There are too many Magical Beasts in the territory. Unlike Magical Plants and Treants, they’re actually quite uncomfortable here. With their natural enemies nearby, they can only endure, and their territory is pitifully small. It’s different for them to go out with the Undead Tribe, they won’t die, and they’ll definitely gain great experience.”

”So, as long as we don’t return the Magical Beasts, cancelling the contract is fine?” Merkel was somewhat dissatisfied.

”Their contracts are taken with an oath to their own Main God,” Hill said with a smile. ”If they violate it, not only will they be smitten, but their deities will also protect the Magical Beast. So this must be written into the contract. Plus, I am the Witness, if they break it, the contract will remind the witnessing party, and I will go and bring them back.”

Merkel nodded, ”I need to learn more about the deities, there’s a lot I’m only half-understanding, which isn’t good.”

”I’m not going out, okay!”

Hill looked at Alice’s round, bulging eyes and her neck fur standing on end, and laughed helplessly, ”Let’s not even say this can only be voluntary, even if you wanted to, I wouldn’t hand you over to someone else, Alice!”

Alice, proud and triumphant, jumped down and went to show off with Merkel.

”Has she forgotten that she’s a Spirit of Nature?” Adrian asked in a low voice.

”She just wants to act spoiled,” Hill answered softly.

Hill stood up, ”Uncle Adrian, I’m going back to the territory to bring Srei’s shop over.”

Adrian nodded, ”Come back quickly, I think that little pig has been swayed already.”

Hill couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth and hastened to work.

By the time he had gotten Srei’s shop set up and stocked with lots of good stuff, and had returned to the ship, Universal Sky Net was already rolling about on top of the little pig.

Hill, looking at the two large pigs who didn’t seem to worry at all, finally understood that for these two pigs, it was about time for this little male pig to get lost and become independent.

Plus, the Undead Tribe could definitely afford to feed this pig with a big appetite.

Hill overheard Universal Sky Net already naming the little pig after a mess of choices, and eventually, the two reached an agreement, and from then on, the pig was called Jack.

With a resigned look, Hill called over the man and pig, not mentioning the overly excited Universal Sky Net, and bent down to ask the pig named Jack, ”Do you really plan to sign a contract with him? It’s not as peaceful outside as in the territory, you’ll have to fight with people, and you could get seriously injured.”

”Humph. My mother is pregnant again,” Jack told Hill, ”I think my future brothers and sisters will be chased away too, they can’t afford to raise them. At least I won’t die, and having enough to eat is good enough.”

Hill patted Jack’s head and took out several Contract Books, which he had just exchanged at the Space-Time Cathedral.

The people who needed these contracts witnessed by the God of Time and Space only needed to place Elemental Crystals on the Scales at the cathedral’s entrance to exchange for them.

With the God of Time and Space’s Witness engraved, the paper woven by the God of Contract’s Divine Power, each costing 100 Crystal Stones, Hill exchanged dozens in one go.

The contract written by Hill himself would notify him with Divine Power if anyone broke it.

Discovering that the carnivorous Magical Beasts in his territory had exceeded 300 in number, Hill knew he had to find a way out for them.

But he hadn’t really come up with any good solution until the Undead Tribe came knocking themselves.

He brought out the Crystal Stone Powder in front of them, and Hill watched as Universal Sky Net happily pressed his fingerprint, then Jack also solemnly pressed the tip of his hoof.

Then the two of them read the contract together and swore an oath to the deities.

Watching the finished contract turn into a stream of Golden Light and split into two halves, entering the bodies of the man and pig, Hill smiled and wished them well, hoping they would always live in harmony.

”Don’t worry! Jack told me what he can eat! I don’t usually put much in my bag, but from now on, it will all be filled with his food!” Universal Sky Net said carelessly.

He roughly patted Jack’s big head, ”And our Pet Pouches can be upgraded to very large sizes! Jack can live very well in there. I asked Jack what he wanted most, and he said a piece of land full of various Melons! No problem! If it can’t be planted, can’t I still pile it up?”

Hill, wondering if Jack had suffered too much from eating cassava, sat back down in the cabin and wondered how many Magical Beasts would leave with the Undead Tribe.

Rainfall, delighted, informed his own family, and then watched angrily as the Magic Cult followed suit.

”What’s happening?” he asked quietly, as the Old Age Striking King who had also come running, ”Didn’t I say keep it secret?”

”Some idiot was killing monsters with the Magic Cult’s team,” the Old Age Striking King said irritably, ”it was led by Yunfeng. Could he keep a secret in front of the Snow Old Dog?”

”Then tell them to hurry up, Black and White Path is probably changing guards now, planning to come in shifts,” Rainfall said, ”Ink Brush is no fool.”

”I still have Magical Beasts in my territory, in a while, we can open up for 2 hours a day for you to look for Magical Beasts to communicate with,” Hill raised his voice, ”there’s no need to all rush here in such a hurry.”

”Mr. Hill,” Rainfall said with a smile as he came in, ”first come, first enjoy is our norm. Even if you say there will be more opportunities later, everyone will still rush over.”
