Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 215: Chapter 42 Behind-the-Scenes Mastermind and the Trouble Caused by Beauty_2

”God of Smithing and Craft.” Fran slowly read, ”And a deity who rose around the same time as the God of Nobility. It is said to have been instructed by the Dwarves’ God of Smithing.

That’s one of the three main gods of the Dwarves.”

The followers of this deity are mostly blacksmiths and craftsmen, with few in number. Hill really couldn’t understand how it possessed such immense power that it could even block the God of Time and Space!

He glanced at Fran, ”Are those bizarre potion recipes that suddenly appeared related to this deity? Is that why some potion-based Alchemy Mages also worshipped It?”

Fran shook her head slowly, ”I really haven’t had any dealings with Its church.”

”Switch to our live-stream. Old Cat!” Snow Cloud Peak suddenly shouted, ”Two! Edward of the Black Rose, Charles of the Magic Cult!”

The screen changed quickly, the giant screen splitting in two, displaying live streams from two different camps.

Charles’s camp was a mess, with tents toppled haphazardly, and Charles, in armor, was cursing loudly.

In front of him were the bodies of seven or eight Female Mages, riddled with holes from Ice Spears.

Above his head flew thousands of Undead Female Mages, mostly looking like young girls, pointing and commenting on the bodies below them.

Some had horns on their heads, others had hooves for feet, and there were those who had grown tails.

Snow Cloud Peak seemed to say something, and the person live-streaming began to speak.

”Ah! During the time we’ve been here, we’ve seen these women taking turns trying to seduce Charles.” A sweet, girlish voice rang out, ”But Charles seems really fed up with the people from the Noble Church, refusing to even see them, and cursing that not one of them can compare to that Helen, not worth a damn.

Then they made their move on a few of the Great Nobility by Charles’s side, and somehow managed to be brought to Charles’s tent.

The moment there was an explosion, they transformed and took action, trying to abduct Charles.

We’ve been keeping an eye on them! As soon as their names turned red, we immediately flew down to intervene.

It’s strange, how did they go from green names to red names directly?

Anyways, we killed them all.

That one with wings almost snatched Charles and flew away from the small tent next to us.

The sisters were a bit too harsh; Charles was dropped from the sky. Really, why are they so angry! Isn’t he a Sky Knight? If he doesn’t fly, who can he blame!”

This girl was very close to Charles while commentating.

Charles was already beside himself with rage and now looked as if he were about to show everyone the true meaning of towering fury.

”I told you! That woman can paralyze people! She’s almost Legendary! Her claws are poisoned!”

”Why don’t you go check on the subordinates who stayed in that tent?” the commentator said playfully, with the sweetest tone, ”Maybe they really died under the Rose, becoming ghosts beneath a Demon’s skirt.”

Charles clenched his teeth tightly, and finally burst into the tent with a wave of his hand.

”Charles isn’t really a bad guy, aside from being a bit dumb,” the commentator laughed, ”So I won’t follow him in; let’s leave them some dignity.”

A few of Charles’s subordinates quickly came out of the tent and went back in with a piece of white cloth.

Charles stood quietly inside the tent, indicating the person inside was indeed beyond saving.

A noble lady ran from the back of the camp, her skirt in disarray, gasping for air.

”Sorry, I couldn’t control him,” Charles’s voice came out.

”What does it have to do with Your Highness?” the woman said through clenched teeth, ”He was the only one fooled! Such a foolish death, our faces and the child’s are all lost!”

”His body is full of poison, it can only be burned.” Charles tried to speak calmly, ”You see if there’s anything else here you need to take.”

”The armor and the Seal Ring.” The woman was nearly unable to suppress her anger, ”Fortunately, he put all his belongings in the chest, not on him, or else they would have to go see the ancestors together!”

”Take them,” Charles said, ”I’ll say he died fighting a Demon; although it won’t cover everything, at least it will save some face.”

”Thank you, Your Highness,” the woman said, curtsying outside the tent as she bid farewell.

Charles’s side was busy, and although it was unfortunate that someone had died, no greater disaster was caused.

Hill heard Fran’s low laughter.

”Grandfather?”

”That man is from the Kral Clan,” Fran said happily, ”the brother of the previous Duke Kral and Charles’ companion from childhood. Although he’s just a Grand Knight, he’s the reason why the Kral family and Charles have such a close relationship.

Because of this, his position is quite special, and he’s the one who handles the family’s affairs.”

”It was he who came with that Magister who was by Charles’ side to warn me.”

Even though Fran became a Magister and the Kral family came to apologize, how could anyone easily let go after suffering such humiliation?

If it weren’t for them accompanying Charles into exile abroad, Fran would never have let the Kral family off easily.

Hearing this, Hill no longer paid attention to Charles’ situation and looked straight at Edward’s son, Ramsden.

After all, there were more amusing things happening here.

Ramsden’s mother, Sarna, was tightly grasped by that male Mage flying in the air with her clothing half-stripped and her bosom partially exposed.

Those half-Succubus female Mages had all died beyond doubt, their bodies surrounded by Ice Lances and Ice Arrows, not a single part of them intact.

The Undead Tribe’s female Mages weren’t actually concerned about Ramsden standing there, howling and begging them not to act.

They were busy taking photographs.

Even though he was only a half-Succubus, this was a male!

A Demon with his upper body bare and only a pair of black tight pants below nervously flapped his wings, looking around at the Undead Tribe surrounding him.

”What a pity he doesn’t have hooves, or a tail.” The female Mage watching also sighed, ”Luckily the horns and bat wings are still there.”

”Those two streaks on his face are quite cute, too bad that although he looks evil, it’s just not delicate enough.”

Even though Fran was used to the nonsense of the Undead Tribe, he still poked his head out in surprise at such an offbeat conversation.

Hill chuckled softly, ”They don’t feel the malice emanating from him, so they only look at the face!”

Even through the screen, Hill dared not look at the Demon’s face for too long, feeling nauseous after a while.

But that was because of his identity as a Nature Warlock, inherently opposing Demons by nature.

Many people, if their souls are not strong enough, looking at Demons for too long can easily lead them down an evil path.

Seeing the appearance of the Demon on the big screen, Hill immediately ordered all ordinary villagers to stay in their homes and not to go out.

Hill had also heard players mentioning that no other cities or towns could watch livestreams like this on huge screens, they could only see some videos of King William’s orders and the like.

Hill asked Fran, ”Shall I just put away all that Demon-related stuff?”

”Sure.” Fran nodded, ”I still need to stay for a while to see how things unfold.”

He was indeed interested in the big screen, but he had no desire to let the Undead Tribe cause trouble in his territory. Fran hadn’t used any feature of his territory’s control core other than the defense functions.

Hill summoned List and Marsha and instructed them to take care of it. After it was completely secured, they were to find the most isolated and strong warehouse to store it separately.

The stalemate over at Ramsden’s side suddenly shifted.

Two loli Swordsmen suddenly rushed into the sky and directly sliced off the half-Succubus’s arm.

This male Succubus, after having his picture taken by the female players, was killed without hesitation.

Following a woman’s scream, Ramsden swiftly flew up into the sky to catch his mother.

She covered her face with her hands, and dark blood slowly oozed out.

Ramsden, handed a bottle of Holy Water by a loli female Mage, called out to Sarna in utmost panic, ”Quick, take your hands away and wash it with Holy Water, or you’ll die!”

Sarna hesitated for a few seconds, but her fear of death prevailed, and she slowly let go of her hands.

Three terrible scratch marks on her face, dark and hideous. As Holy Water poured over them and black smoke rose, Sarna screamed agonizingly.

Even though red flesh finally appeared, Hill was certain that these scars would be difficult to remove.

”This is the consequence of beauty causing trouble!” Hill couldn’t help nodding along to the remark floating up from below.
