Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 232: Chapter 50 Dwarves Stirring, Valley Solid as a Rock_2

”List, the Divine Realm never expands in just one direction,” Hill said, resting his left hand on the table and supporting his cheek with a smile, ”The center of this particular Divine Realm is in Kexlote, and it has now even expanded to the borders of Cortez. Our mountains here have long been within their territory.”

”However, for His Majesty the King, the territories of the three countries are already vast enough, and the people insufficient; there is no necessity to directly include us outsiders in the Saral territory.”

”But once the population of Saral reaches a certain level, removing us will just be a matter of his saying so.”

List nodded slightly. If the elves really dared to send a large number of legendary forces to snatch Hill from Saral, it was only possible if their Main God could annihilate all the human deities of the God of Time and Space.

”Their only method is to find my grandmother,” Hill said, squinting his eyes with a smile, ”But my grandfather isn’t worried at all, odd isn’t it?”

”I heard that Druids haven’t appeared for thousands of years. Even the elves themselves rarely see them,” List couldn’t help but laugh, ”But it’s possible that the Forest of the Elves has split, right?”

Hill thought it over and felt that the Elf Druids had probably become independent and were no longer under the control of the Elf Imperial Court.

That is, the disappearance of that Nature Deity back then was likely known to all on the elf side, but only the Goddess of the Hunt and another had acted.

William probably learned something from the God of Time and Space, which is why the elves were so angry when they said they would find those two and punish them.

Hill shook his head. Unless he too was a person enchanted by the elves, their excessive concerns, aside from causing him some trouble, really wouldn’t affect him much.

But he was very interested in the threats that the Forest of the Elves was facing. Was it because of those who could awaken the Treants, the natural Druid offspring, taken away by departing Druids, or did the Forest of the Elves face an enemy that so many deities could not stop?

Or perhaps it was a combination of both.

Hill never believed that Druids would cease to appear among elves, but it was very likely that once someone became a Druid, they would leave the Forest of the Elves.

Instructing List to keep track of elves and dwarves was sufficient; Hill then put the matter aside.

In the sky outside, Cohen’s figure was flying swiftly.

Hill’s rules of the Wind Element in his Mental Sea had the greatest impact on Cohen.

He could have advanced earlier, but his promotion coincided with the initial formation of Hill’s Wind Element rules.

Hill didn’t know how much Cohen had seen, but he deeply felt the impact, as the timing of his advance had been greatly prolonged and he had only just succeeded.

Hill leaned against the window, watching the falcon soaring in the air with pleasure. Had he awakened to the accelerated Wind Element?

Cohen had noticed Hill’s gaze and began circling in the air, demonstrating his abilities after advancement.

The white falcon’s feathers shimmered with transparent whirlwinds, glinting silver in the sunlight.

Hill blinked. This was the Wind Shield spell he was researching!

A Magic Shield formed from small whirlwinds, not to resist attacks, but to deflect them.

Was this the Magical Beast’s innate intuition?

They might not know the principle, but could use their sharpest intuition to discover the rules best suited for themselves.

On every feather of Cohen, a small whirlwind danced. When accelerating, the whirlwinds stretched out, clinging to the feathers. Once he slowed, they returned to small spinning winds.

Cohen waved his wings happily, numerous Wind Blades swiftly shot out, tangled midway into a tornado that roared past and disappeared into the distance.

Hill smiled and waved at Cohen, then closed his eyes.

The Wind Shield technique was something he had pondered for a long time and could finally take shape.

The World Will must have helped him again, Hill felt his inspiration was overflowing, he hardly made any mistakes, and the Wind Shield composed of countless whirlwinds appeared on his body.

Hill looked up; Cohen had already stopped beside him.

He patted his small head; Hill felt the blessing of Natural Consciousness on the white falcon.

This world’s first wind magical beast did not yet understand its importance and was happily being affectionate with Hill, craving his touch after being secluded for too long; Cohen missed his friend of nature.

After playing with Cohen for a while, Hill then turned his attention to the wind elemental spirit, Keith, inside the pendant.

This little spirit was squatting on a cloud bed, continuously switching between wind vortices, alternating between three skills.

Hill could feel that Keith’s power had almost caught up with his own. Perhaps the elemental spirits were truly the world’s favored children?

Soon, Keith would be able to accumulate power and split new wind elemental spheres, no longer needing to be all alone.

Although Keith was very good at entertaining himself and was always happy to sense Hill’s presence, Hill still felt a bit sorry for him since if he hadn’t been so weak himself, Keith wouldn’t need to hide like this.

Hill let Cohen go out to play, instructing him to try not to go outside the valley.

He glanced a few times worriedly towards Merkel and Alice, who were in a deep sleep in the cave.

Although Merkel had informed him that this sleep would be long, Cohen’s successful advancement still made Hill miss them a bit.

”Sir,” List appeared quietly, ”Congratulations, you have become even stronger.”

Hill nodded with a smile, ”I’ve taken another step towards becoming a legend.”

But becoming a legend was still a long way off, and he was somewhat unsure about the remaining three wind skills.

”On Noah’s side, demons are no longer a problem now,” List said with a wry smile, ”but the Undead Tribe has started fighting among themselves.”

”Isn’t that normal?” quipped Hill, ”His Majesty the King should have known this day would come when he dared to let them take whatever they wanted.”

”The Perfect Bald of Black Rose, um, sir,” List hesitated for a moment but still addressed the player by the soul’s gender, ”and Chattering Sir, are planning to take a long-term lease on our alchemy factory.”

”They react too quickly,” Hill exhaled, ”Our people in the territory, they don’t have any needs, right? If not, just let them have it.”

”Yes, sir,” List said with a smile, ”It’s good timing since no one is using it right now. They are the first to come, so it works out well. Otherwise, if several families made requests at the same time, it would be difficult for us.”

Hill nodded, ”They already have that many alchemists?”

The alchemy factory could be managed by a few people and some puppets for short-term use, but mass production of drugs and equipment would require many alchemists.

A peculiar smile appeared on List’s face, ”Sir, the alchemists they sent are all magisters! That assembly line only needs so many ordinary apprentices.”

Hill waved his hand; he always forgot this point.

”In the words of the Undead, the current situation is still a war between exclusive rights and counter-exclusive rights,” List slowly said, ”But eventually, it will turn into a major clan war. The Magic Cult has already started to slowly withdraw from the Black and White Path territory, but they, the Black Rose, couldn’t possibly leave. After all, although there are no high-level, demons keep appearing continuously. They have to help the Black and White Path defend the city.

Unable to fight, Black Rose can only choose to make some money.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh, ”When it turns into a major clan war, remember to let me know; I want to go and enjoy the show. Old Cat must be watching the giant screen every day by now.”

”Yes,” List nodded, ”Others have gone to Noah several times. Only he remains indifferent, watching live broadcasts every day. However, he has accepted quite a few planting tasks near the territory.”

”I wonder what they’ve managed to grow,” Hill was somewhat expectant, ”When summer comes and flowers bloom everywhere, it will be beautiful.”

”It’s a good thing that Natural Consciousness stirred up such a scene,” List changed the subject, ”Outside the territory, there aren’t many trees. Those elves can only stay a few thousand meters away. There are only the Undead Tribe coming and going in the small town; there’s no use for them seeing it.”

Hill shook his head with a laugh; it seemed that List did not trust the players’ sense of beauty.

No, perhaps compared to beauty, he felt that the players would choose curiosity instead?
