Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 237: Chapter 53: The Undead Tribe Filled with Fantastic Ideas

Alice ran over quickly, her fluffy little face vividly showing the joy of escaping danger.

Hill couldn’t help but laugh out loud and caught the little cat jumping into his arms.

”Hello, Alice.”

Merkel followed behind. Hill watched the black panther take a few leisurely steps before standing right in front of him. A quick agility heritage, perhaps?

Hill looked down and said, ”Mr. Merkel, long time no see.”

”Hill, Hill!” Alice said anxiously, ”Can I take a break for a while now?”

”You can play for a while,” Hill felt that Alice’s power now was almost on par with his own, so he nodded and said, ”But you can’t leave the territory, there’s a lot of trouble lately.”

”Because of two legendary advancements?” Merkel sat down properly and asked.

”The elves and dwarves have already left,” List quietly floated beside him, ”Our domain now has legends, and with Mr. Fran guarding the area, they felt those legends didn’t plan to act, so they directly fled.

Otherwise, the Forest of the Elves wouldn’t travel thousands of miles to seek revenge for probing into legends and getting killed.”

Hill frowned and nodded, ”They left quickly.”

”Elves?” Merkel said, ”My heritage tells me they got involved then as well. Spring Water didn’t have the ability to find the earth veins; only elves favored by nature could.”

Hill silently sighed, ”I knew they had issues. There aren’t many new elves in the Forest of the Elves that can awaken the treants.”

”If there are still any, they must be the descendants of the elves once favored by nature. If they haven’t betrayed nature, nature will still bless their children.” Merkel said in a muffled voice.

”It seems like the druids have left the Forest of the Elves.”

”To stay there and listen to nature’s cries?” Merkel coldly laughed, ”Unable to soothe nature, can they still be called druids? They’re just cowards who only know how to evade.”

It seemed that magical beasts had a deep-seated hostility towards elves as well. But the beast tide encountered by the Forest of the Elves didn’t seem to be extreme, Hill thought secretly.

”So why wasn’t the beast tide on the elves’ side as vicious?” Adrian directly asked.

”Do you think that so-called Goddess of the Hunt is more terrifying than Spring Water aligning with a faction?” Merkel’s voice was full of hatred, ”The high-level magical beasts over there had their bloodlines severed.”

Hill glanced sideways, remembering the big, clumsy Earth Bear in his memories.

He quietly clenched his hands: Were the elves coming for the treant, or were they here for his Earth heritage?

Instead, it was his Earth Elemental Chief who inadvertently diverted the focus when he advanced to a legendary lord?

The thick earth elemental aura around him could easily make someone believe he was favored by the Earth Elemental Spirits.

Having the Earth Bear bloodline wasn’t terrifying; what was terrifying was that bear.

Ever since Hill knew he could read Divine Scripts, he understood that his heritage might be the demigod bloodline of the Earth Deity System.

The earth elemental aura was so pure that, if not for other mixed elements, he was almost indistinguishable from the Earth Elemental Spirits.

”Mr. Merkel, why haven’t you reached legend yet?” Hill decided to change the topic.

”That’s not possible,” Merkel said calmly, ”If I fully accepted the inherited bloodline, I wouldn’t be myself anymore. I grieve and rage for the predicament of my ancestors, but I don’t want to become another ancestor.”

Hill smiled and nodded, he could fully understand that.

”Uncle Adrian,” Hill turned and said, ”It looks like Grandpa needs some time, why don’t you take us to see the plants outside?”

”Alright,” Adrian saw that it was still early, so he agreed and released the golden ship.

”Anyone who wants to take a look, get on board.” Hill waved, having already noticed the magical beasts peeking from a hundred meters away.

”Ah!” Hill quickly scooped up Alice and dashed into the cabin, fearing that Adrian might clobber him.

How come those three pigs, who usually only cared about eating, were so curious and came along this time?

With a foul look on his face, Adrian followed Merkel into the cabin.

”Hehe, Uncle Adrian, I really didn’t expect this.” Hill lowered his head and apologized.

”Forget it,” Adrian exhaled, ”After all, they are members of your domain.”

Hill smiled awkwardly, ”The main problem is they’re really heavy.” The cassava in Hill’s Domain had all become magical plants, yet they still couldn’t contend with a sow, only able to divide themselves endlessly in tears to feed her.

The sow knew Hill didn’t allow them to kill plants that had gained intelligence, so she didn’t dare consume the entire magical plant.

But after eating magical plant offshoots for some time, this sow now weighed over 2 tons. Even though the boar and their son were somewhat lighter, together they still weighed over 2 tons.

When Adrian made the ship lift off, he noticed this too; clearly, only a dozen or so magical beasts had boarded, but it felt heavier than 200 people combined.

He couldn’t help but glance at the magical beasts on the deck, ”Hill, do you like heavy magical beasts? Why wasn’t there a bear then?”

Hill silently gave Adrian a strong side-eye.

”Hill likes me best, right?” After listening for a while, Alice suddenly chimed in, only understanding that Hill preferred heavy animals and feeling unhappy about it.

”Of course, who could be cuter than Alice?” Hill stroked the little white cat’s head and smiled.

The golden ship slowly rose to the height of the clouds, and Hill was amazed to see the sky filled with flying undead outside.
