Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 223: Chapter 46: The Elf Princess Who Came to Seduce William

Chancellor stood still for a while, his ears twitching before he finally spoke, ”King Noah, may I ask you a question?”

”Of course! I shall withhold nothing.”

”In the Northern Noah, are there any civilians still alive?”

King Noah couldn’t help but glance towards William’s direction, seemingly surprised that the concern of the King of Saral wasn’t on the intelligence of the Noble Temple.

He scratched his head and started to chuckle, ”Heh, as soon as those people arrived, I knew trouble was brewing. They said that as long as I cooperated, not only would the country be safe, the Royal Family would be preserved as well.

Who would trust the words of the Evil Faction?

But I really am afraid of dying!

I had no choice but to agree to cooperate.

All I demanded was to evacuate everyone to a safe place.

Hmph, that trash, they actually wouldn’t allow me to evacuate all my subjects.

If it weren’t for our country’s legends noticing something was amiss and coming together, I couldn’t even have maintained the situation as it is now.

In any case, the moment the Abyssal Gate appeared, we were given three days to evacuate, and that was limited only within the northern city.

I had no other choice but to unite all the lords of the country and sent all the serious criminals to the Northern Border, evacuating the civilians.

If they can survive, then it’s as if they’ve served their sentences.”

He looked up and glanced at William who was sitting at an angle, looking in this direction: ”If His Majesty the King of Saral agrees for the Undead Tribe to go to our Northern Border, could you maybe tell them to?

Spare those humans from the Evil Faction a bit. After all, they have served their sentences and atoned for their sins.”

”What about the slaves?” the Chancellor asked another question.

”There’s nothing I can do about that,” King Noah said with a shrug, ”I can’t control whether those nobles bring slaves or not; I only care about my own citizens.”

He paused for a moment and then suddenly remembered that the William of Saral was not only a Kind Alignment king, but also a Pope of the Kind God. He quickly added, ”If these slaves survive, abandoned by their noble masters, with no one having authority over them, Saral can take them all.”

Chancellor nodded, ”The Undead Tribe has always been guided by divine teachings, and they are very willing to fight to eliminate evil and save lives.

But it must be said in advance, whatever is left in Northern Noah, it’s no longer the property of anyone.

Saral has no desire for Noah’s territory, but will not hinder the Undead Tribe from receiving their due rewards.”

”Of course,” King Noah’s smile crinkled his eyes, ”including the northern city, everything belongs to no one in Noah anymore. But what if adventurers from Noah want to go there?”

”Then it’s up to their own abilities,” the Chancellor interjected bluntly, cutting off the king’s greediness, ”If they provoke the Undead Tribe, then it can’t be helped. The Undead generally do not strike out against friendly people.”

”But I heard that they even want to kill Mr. Polanio,” the envoy of the Mage Association suddenly interjected.

The Female Sorceress, who had been standing steadily, also turned around.

”They did not directly attack Mr. Polanio,” said the Chancellor unflinchingly, ”It was only during their scruffle that they used a wide-area spell. It’s unfortunate if anyone gets accidentally hurt, but nothing can be done.

Isn’t Mr. Polanio precisely avoiding going out now?”

Hill, finding himself suddenly the topic of discussion, turned to look at Fran.

”Don’t worry about it. They are just using you as a pretext, but it’s actually that Female Sorceress who is more concerned about you,” Fran scoffed coldly, ”The Mage Association wants to get involved, but they’re afraid of being killed by the Undead Tribe.”

”What’s in Northern Noah?” Adrian asked curiously.

”The Abyssal Gate opened by the Demon must be surrounded by Crystal Mines, and they are definitely not small,” Fran stated expressionlessly, ”Where demons die in large numbers, special materials are bound to form. Demon’s Blood is actually not a bad nutrient for the world.”

”They want to take advantage of the Undead Tribe?” Adrian gasped, ”Are they mad?”

”They definitely won’t dare to rob them directly. But many people can now see that the needs of the Undead Tribe for this world are different from ours, so they might exchange ordinary items for high-tier materials,” Fran said dismissively, ”They don’t see who our King is; is it really that easy to take advantage?”

Hill agreed with Fran’s words; after all, that was William, who to save money had personally gone to mine!

”But our Mage Association also wants to make some contributions to resisting the demons,” the envoy of the Mage Association persisted, ”But we really have limited abilities, so we hope to assist the Undead Tribe from behind.”

”The biggest help is to not show up at all!” said the Chancellor definitively, ”For the Undead Tribe, what is supposed to be a good deed might accidentally cause harm to others and even shift their alignment, which would be a great loss!”

”Then, Your Majesty, can’t you prevent the Undead Tribe from harming the people of this world?”

Hill saw King Noah looking at the envoy of the Mage Association with an expression of stunned admiration, probably thinking that there were people in the world even more shameless than himself.

”Unless the Mage Association becomes my subjects, it is absolutely impossible,” William said, no longer willing to hear their squabbling and interjecting directly.

”And what if they become believers in the God of Time and Space?” King Noah couldn’t wait to ask, ”I would be most willing to reverence the God of Time and Space as the national faith of Noah.”
