Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 203: Chapter 36 The Beauty Trap Hill Couldn’t Look Straight At_2

He didn’t even know what type of girl he would like. Having been single for over thirty years in his previous life, and now living in this strange environment, Hill racked his brain but came up blank.

”Stop looking around.” Seeing Hill’s curious glances, Fran couldn’t help but say, ”If you have nothing to do, go back to the Magic Tower! Don’t come here often.”

”Grandfather, what exactly did His Majesty the King give you?” Hill couldn’t help but ask, ”You’re not usually this enthusiastic!”

”It wasn’t His Majesty the King’s doing.” Fran smiled lightly, a rare look of pride on his face.

Hill got the hint--it must be perks from the God of Time and Space!

So he didn’t inquire further, it must have been related to the alchemy item that was about to be completed.

Hill bid farewell to his grandfather, who couldn’t wait to send him off, and turned to leave.

Snow Cloud Peak, with several gang leaders in tow, stood in the lobby downstairs, looking dismally at the female mages.

”What in the world are they wearing?” Hill heard Xiao Liuliu commenting while pulling Baldy, standing by the window and inspecting.

Hill felt like laughing; that was exactly why he didn’t find them beautiful.

The humanity-destroying corseted puffy dresses and the unnaturally squeezed-out bust padding were something Saral nobles would never wear.

Only Diodisio, a country still living in the past tens of thousands of years ago, would stick to such a style, believing it epitomized beauty even for mages.

Even that Haifasardo’s seductive and sexy mage Cassel wouldn’t sabotage herself like this but would make alterations to her mage robe instead.

And what was seen in portraits differed greatly from the reality.

Hill truly felt that the hourglass figure looked so uncomfortable that it made him uneasy just to look at.

”Mr. Hill.” Snow Cloud Peak came over, ”Should we arrange for these people to stay upstairs as well?”

”Don’t worry about it.” Hill spoke slowly, ”The few old mages who prefer quiet have been arranged on the fourth floor. Since these people come from the same place, it’s good for them to stay on the third floor. The previous ones are there too.”

”Should we also find a few rooms on the third floor to stay in?” Mobi Chenxin interrupted.

”Suit yourself!” Hill replied nonchalantly, while noticing from the corner of his eye a few female mages striking various poses in his direction.

”Marsha.” Hill said to the Tower Spirit of the Lord’s Mansion who responded to his call, ”The Undead Tribe need a convenient place to move around, so give them the rooms near the stairwell!”

”We have girls too!” Xiao Liuliu walked over with a smile, ”Place our girls among those female mages, so they can find us at any time if there’s an issue.”

Hill nodded in agreement: ”The Lord’s Mansion kitchen is always stocked with food; you can eat there whenever you like.”

”Ah? Is there food?” Baldy leaned in with interest, ”It’s been such a long time, I haven’t seen them eat anything.”

”There is.” Marsha answered, ”You can also order with me, and I’ll bring the food to your room.

Mages usually don’t eat out.”

Hill nodded slightly, bid farewell to the players without paying attention to the several female mages who sashayed toward him, and flew straight home.

He heard some players mutter with his sharp ears: ”This is turning into Silk Cave! Poor Hill, there isn’t a single decent one among them.”

Although they were speaking on his behalf, Hill still clenched his teeth, resisting the impulse to let them try out the Blizzard spell he had just learned.

Hill crouched in the Magic Tower, practicing three newly acquired Water Spells every day.

It was his many years of meticulous research on spells that provided the stable foundation for his current advancement.

List visited daily to report, bringing Hill a bit of diversion from life.

Those female mages, lately, finally understood from the Undead Tribe’s madman-like glares and whispered comments that their attire was inappropriate.

In the end, they had no choice but to buy some mage robes at high prices from some of the female players.

Hearing the emphasis List put on the word ”high prices,” Hill deeply sensed how deeply those female mages had offended the players.

”What exactly did they do?” Hill asked with interest, ”The Undead Tribe is generally more tolerant towards females.”

”Girls of the Undead Tribe, many have rather youthful appearances,” List said slowly, ”They outright claimed that these individuals must be Gnomes. Otherwise, how could they not grow up.”

Hill blinked, ”Don’t they know that the Undead Tribe can easily alter their appearances?”

”That Mr. Snow Cloud Peak, very politely explained to them,” List also found it unbelievable, ”And yet, they murmured behind his back, wondering if all Undead were actually Old Witches, hence their preference for child-like looks.”

”Where were they murmuring?” Hill couldn’t help but ask.

”The small square, in the woods,” List said clearly.

”In the Forest Array!” Hill was speechless, that was a place that needed extra caution, with the Undead always having someone guarding inside.

Hill specifically instructed the Treants to help the Undead conceal their movements.

This was truly seeking one’s own death.

”They couldn’t possibly just be selling clothes, right?” Hill asked directly.

”Mr. Old Cat.” List hesitated, ”I don’t know how it was set up, but the giant screen has been broadcasting for some time now, showing the most ignorant age of their world, the dangers of women wearing corsets, how hideously deformed broken bones can become.”

”Someone has to actually do it for him to be able to show it!” Hill sighed, ”A mage’s body isn’t that easy to ruin, it’s just deformation that’s all.”

”No fights broke out, did they?” Hill was a bit interested now.

”No,” List answered quickly this time, ”The Male Mage from before and an older Female Mage prevented those Female Mages from seeking trouble.”

”Were the Undead disappointed?”

”Not really,” List said, ”Just, recently more and more Undead women have been coming here, all dressed very lavishly and seductively, swaying before those people every day.”

Hill blinked.

”They keep on sighing, lamenting that no matter how they dress up, they can’t match Mr. Hill’s beauty,” List rushed through his words, ”I don’t know what kind of demons or devils they are, so full of confidence yet uglier than groundsel, yet as cocksure as a trumpet flower.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh, even if players use him as a pawn, Hill didn’t mind anymore.

”Tell Mr. Snow Cloud Peak,” Hill said with a smile, ”If a fight really breaks out, I can only expel those who started it. Tell him to arrange someone to keep an eye on things.”

”They are aware of it,” List said firmly, ”I’ve noticed that all the newcomers are Swordsmen and Priests. They are always in pairs.”

Hill nodded silently, player experience with brawls was much richer than his.

”Mr. Snow Cloud Peak says, seeing that these people are still holding back despite the commotion, they probably really do want to do something on your territory,” List said.

”Don’t bother with it,” Hill said with a cold laugh, ”Tell him it won’t be long.”

”Sir?”

”Demons, ah!” Hill stood up, looking into the distance, ”If they want to cause trouble, it’ll definitely be during the time of the Demon assaults.

His Majesty the King is so sure that Noah will not defend their Northern Border, there must be credible information.

Cortez’s border will definitely suffer a Demon attack.

If the North and our place erupt at the same time, who knows if it might cause great harm to Saral?”

”What should we do?” List was slightly hesitant.

”Don’t worry,” Hill tapped the window, ”They have underestimated His Majesty the King too much, and still do not understand just how many people the Undead Tribe has.”

Despite Mobi Chenxin wandering around here for quite a while, he’s been teleporting back to his own territory every day, only returning here in the morning.

These players are not likely to give up their hard-won territories easily. Thinking to divert attention from the borders to the North with events here is not so simple, and they are thinking too beautifully.”

”Is there any danger to Mr. Adrian?” List asked.

”Unless a Demigod intervenes, they’re just courting death,” Hill said with a cold laugh, ”This is an official missive to His Majesty the King after all, how could they really just send Miller’s Legend alone.

What do you think their ship is like?” Hill even suspected it was stuffed with players.
