Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2055: Wait to sit on that position

”Have you chosen yet?”

Jie Su walked over and sat next to Ye Zhongming. Seeing him still looking at various formations on the terminal, he casually asked.

”Do you know how many people have come to me these past few days?”

Ye Zhongming turned off the screen and smiled at Jie Su.

Jie Su shrugged, somewhat speechless. ”These people, really... They were so firm earlier, saying formations are confidential, canʼt be passed to outsiders, under pressure can only teach you a few large formations, but now, sigh.”

In this matter, the Su Clanʼs future star gained a new understanding of his clansmenʼs integrity.

In the agreement a few days earlier, Ye Zhongming mentioned exchanging Xiu Ge and Purple Luo Zinc for formations, which the Su Clan members firmly refused at the time.

Ye Zhongming had originally given up on the idea, but who would have thought that just an hour later, someone approached him, offering to teach him some formations in exchange for the two items the Su Clan urgently needed.

After all, in the agreement, the Weapons of War and Purple Luo Zinc Ye Zhongming had to be distributed uniformly by the Su Clan. When they would be distributed, how much each would get—these were all issues.

Since the clan had already opened the door, agreeing to teach Ye Zhongming quite a few large formations, letting him learn some small and medium formations wouldnʼt matter much, right?
Thus, the faction besides the clan leaderʼs and Kelan Suʼs factions quickly found Ye Zhongming, proposing some conditions, offering a list of twenty formations—ten small, ten medium—in exchange for one hundred fifty Weapons of War and enough Purple Luo Zinc to make fifty small formation ʼmoldsʼ and one hundred medium formation ʼmolds.ʼ

Before both sides finished negotiating, Kelan Suʼs faction arrived as well. Their purpose, naturally, was the same. By the time Jie Su arrived, the mutual awkwardness was indescribable.

In the end, Yaohan Su directly intervened, limiting each faction to trading with Ye Zhongming no more than ten small formations, five medium formations, and strictly forbidding trading with large formations.

For this, Ye Zhongming needed to prepare three hundred fifty Weapons of War and enough Purple Luo Zinc for thirty small formation molds and fifteen medium formation molds.

Of course, these were divided into three equal portions for the three direct lineages.

But even so, some people still approached Ye Zhongming in secret, wanting to continue such trades.

”Iʼm sure your Weapons of War formula, Purple Luo Zinc, and that ancient formation were all obtained after you came to the universe. Sometimes I canʼt help but be jealous. Why can you achieve these things while I havenʼt managed in so many years?”

Jie Su patted Ye Zhongmingʼs shoulder, then added, ”At the same time, Iʼm also very fortunate you are my friend and will fully support me.”

”Before, I always thought cooperating with the Star-Eye Clan meant the Su Clan contributing, nurturing a potential ally. Now I donʼt think so. I feel you are a very good, very powerful ally. You know, Iʼve never felt this confident before.”

Although Jie Su said he was jealous, it didnʼt show, nor did he ask how Ye Zhongming had obtained these things. He truly felt fortunate, feeling his ideals were so within reach.

”Being sentimental now.” Ye Zhongming smiled.

Jie Su spoke sincerely, but Ye Zhongming couldnʼt really think the Star-Eye Clan could now stand as equals with the Su Clan. No matter what he provided now, overall, it was still the Su Clan helping the Star-Eye Clan and him more.

”By the way, these past few days, the elders have been studying the formation your subordinates used. They think it resembles a lost ancient formation—Kanci. Although itʼs just a small formation, it has always been known for its powerful attack. Who would have thought it could still be used with people as the formation? The elders are experimenting to see if combining warriors and formation masters is possible.”

Ye Zhongming nodded. Although he taught this method to the assault team, because they were all warriors, the formation appeared too rigid. Once opponents with strong attacks were encountered, casualties were very likely.

If warriors and formation masters were combined, this problem could be solved because during overlapping attacks, what mattered was the total Furelai, not whether members were warriors.

Ye Zhongming only realized this issue recently, but the Su Clan started experiments just days after obtaining the formation. Major clans indeed had their strong aspects.

”Tell me honestly, do you have other similar formations?”

Jie Su voiced the question heʼd always had; he always felt his clan got cheated by Ye Zhongming.

Ye Zhongming laughed heartily, not denying it. ”Yes, but not many. In terms of attack power, none are as strong as the one I gave you, at least not currently.”

”What do you mean? Currently?” Jie Su didnʼt understand.

”Mmm.” Ye Zhongming said, ”These things, I found them in the Library Palace. I might find more in the future. You can also look when you have time. But itʼs best not to spread this. If too many people go, everyone will know the Library Palace has treasures.”

The matter of the library officers was of great importance; Ye Zhongming didnʼt dare tell anyone, so he could only answer Jie Su this way. In fact, these formations using people as the formation were indeed taught to Ye Zhongming by the Library Palace.

Although the Su Clanʼs core formations werenʼt placed in the Library Palace, long ago, some very distinctive formations were stored there. Over time, many who mastered formations died unexpectedly or for various other reasons. These formations were lost in the Su Clan but left records in the Library Palace. Because these formations werenʼt key ones, the Su Clan didnʼt pay too much attention. After all, these lost formations were average in effect. For the Su Clan, which produced new formations almost periodically, there was no need to spend that effort and high cost searching the Library Palaceʼs sea of books.

Someone at the Library Palace learned these formations and recently began modifying them.

Once learned people had clear goals, and the energy they could unleash was quite astonishing.

Over the years, these formations were modified into another form. When Ye Zhongming left, they naturally came into his hands.

You should know that only one library officer researched and modified these formations... and reportedly just tried them out when bored.

When Ye Zhongming left, that master was researching the few remaining large formations left by the Su Clan. Ye Zhongming believed results would emerge soon.

Those library officers were really... too strong, to the point Ye Zhongming felt like an idiot in front of them.

”I knew it!” Jie Su pointed at Ye Zhongming virtually. No matter what, he felt somewhat uncomfortable about this kid using a small ancient formation to swindle the Su Clan out of one hundred million Moonspan Gold.

Ye Zhongming chuckled, put his arm around Jie Su, and said, ”Donʼt mind it; it benefits everyone. How about this: Iʼll tell you a secret as compensation?”
