Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2040: 3 Raini Grade

Kanagu also couldnʼt tell whether Ye Zhongming truly wasnʼt interested or simply unwilling to participate in price-driving. He couldnʼt ask outright either, so he could only wait with slight anxiety.

At this moment, he was having doubts as well. Was asking for one million Moonspan Gold a bit too high?

”Itʼs too expensive, Kanagu. If you could lower it by two hundred thousand Moonspan Gold, then Iʼd take it.”

Hearing this, Ye Zhongming secretly laughed, thinking this wasnʼt an auction after all. It wasnʼt just about bidding up; haggling was possible. If you asked for too much, naturally, someone would want to pay less. People werenʼt stupid. This equipment was good, yes, but not to the point of being snatched up. Others not participating were normal.

Ye Zhongming wasnʼt in a hurry, mentally calculating his own funds.

Today, he spent nearly a million Moonspan Gold on equipment for the Gold Camp warriors, over a million on combat beasts, two hundred thirty million on materials, and around five hundred thousand on various equipment for research purposes.

The second ten million Moonspan Gold obtained from the Library Palace was already half spent. If he deducted necessary future expenses, there wasnʼt much usable amount left.

But Ye Zhongming also didnʼt feel he needed to stop here; he wanted to see the situation for himself.

Kanagu shook his head repeatedly.

”The ownership of this equipment isnʼt mine. Although I have some small pricing authority, itʼs all based on cost. I wouldnʼt dare raise prices arbitrarily. The proceeds belong to the clan; I canʼt harm the clanʼs interests.”
Kanaguʼs words sounded a bit confusing, but everyone present knew the Su Race opened this shop. In addition to a fixed salary, Kanagu received bonuses. Even to get more bonuses, he wouldnʼt raise prices without a bottom line. Doing so would undoubtedly be digging his own grave in the long run, and the Su Race wouldnʼt tolerate him either.

But aside from understanding, the price fluctuation of this equipment was 100,000 to 200,000 Moonspan Gold; no one could easily let go.

Both sides engaged in a verbal battle, with Kanagu not budging, making that Su Race person quite helpless.

Through the dialogue, Ye Zhongming gathered that this Su Race person was from one of the three direct branches, possibly even having succession rights, though even further down than the already low-ranked Jie Su.

In the end, Kanagu only agreed to reduce the amount by fifty thousand Moonspan Gold. That Su Race person gave up, helpless.

Kanagu was also somewhat surprised, but still professionally put away the equipment and had the second item brought up.

”Dadu Cloud Blade!”

The second weapon was a Raini Grade weapon, a quite beautifully shaped war blade.

”This one, it isnʼt also from that God Smith, is it?”

Having just failed to get the equipment he liked, that Su Race person was somewhat unhappy. Seeing the war blade, he couldnʼt help but mock.

Kanagu wasnʼt annoyed either, laughing heartily. ”No, no, where would so many God Smith works come from? Having that one piece was pure luck.”

”Letʼs talk about this blade first.” Kanagu took out this war blade from the box, and immediately, an energy surged in this small space. Everyone was an expert, clearly feeling it.

Without doing anything, just taking it out of the box caused such energy leakage. That alone was enough to call it a precious item.

Being reserved or leaking wasnʼt the standard for judging strength, but possessing either made it a good thing.

”Currently, although our races arenʼt doing well, forced to move around by the Slave Race, after so many years of development and fusion, technological levels have now surpassed our imagination. This is good, but it also makes some originally simple things complex, like weapons.”

Kanagu held the blade, gripping the handle, with the blade edge facing himself—a sign of respect to others and a reassuring practice.

”Initially, weapons, especially blade and sword types, needed sharpness and sturdiness.”

Since the previous equipment wasnʼt sold, Kanagu had to strive to promote this one.

”The biggest characteristics of the Dadu Cloud Blade are these two. The bladeʼs material is ʼDeep Cloud Ironʼ, considered one of the hardest natural metals in the universe. I donʼt know what method the Taros Red Dwarves used, not only smelting this material with poor ductility but also adding many other elements, increasing its strength even further. I have some data here; everyone can see how sharp it is.”

An attendant nearby took out a light screen showing many test scenes after obtaining this weapon, using various other weapons. Almost all other weapons were cut by the Dadu Cloud Blade.

”Sharp and sturdy. After these tests, the blade body showed no damage. You can all see that now.”

Kanagu showed everyone and continued, ”These two characteristics are related to the material but not the entire reason. When the user injects their own energy into it, because of Deep Cloud Ironʼs nature, these two aspects become even more prominent. And!”

”It generates what can be considered this bladeʼs first active ability—Nightmare Shadow.”

”In the four directions around the user, identical blade shadows appear. They wonʼt actively attack but will continuously rotate around, attacking any target entering the range.”

”Importantly, these blade shadows donʼt consume the userʼs own energy but consume the bladeʼs own energy. This energy is continuously absorbed by the weapon itself during normal times, including natural absorption and the userʼs active injection during non-combat states.”

Very impressive—this was Ye Zhongmingʼs evaluation of this ability.

For now, he didnʼt know how much energy this blade itself could store. If the energy storage were substantial, this one ability alone might be enough to make this blade Raini Grade equipment.

The blade shadows couldnʼt move, but people could.

”Blood Drink.”

Kanagu spoke again. ”Blood will enhance this bladeʼs own strength. The ability isnʼt growth-type but temporary, only effective during combat. But isnʼt that still very amazing? It will make your opponents more and more alarmed as they fight.”

”Of course, thereʼs a limit. Everyone sees the handle, right? When the Blood Drink ability activates, the handleʼs color indicates how much energy it can attract. When it turns completely red, thatʼs the limit.”

Kanagu placed the blade back in the box, raised his thumb, and said, ”Thereʼs one last ability. When Blood Drink reaches the limit, stab it into the ground, and it generates an energy attack in controllable directions except the userʼs back. The strength is great, and the speed is fast. The specifics, again, need you to feel it out yourself.”

After speaking, Kanagu sat down. ”Good item, price not high: seven hundred thousand Moonspan Gold.”
