Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2042: Mountain Fury

Mechanical combat beasts and real combat beasts each had their own merits.

When choosing real combat beasts, people had strong goals. What they needed them to do determined the type selected.

With goals, their uses could be clearly shown. Moreover, the growth of real combat beasts was foreseeable, and there was usually continuous anticipation. After all, combat beasts were life forms like the cosmic races, capable of continuous evolving throughout their lives.

In terms of coordination, if the master and the combat beast had a good understanding, their strength would also increase over the course of the contract.

If luck was good and nothing happened to either, living till old age was also possible—becoming family, not just master and pet.

Mechanical combat beasts were different. Their abilities were fixed from the start, with few choices. Because such combat devices were rare, basically a Talos Red Dwarves’ patented item, what they made was what you got. It wasnʼt like real combat beasts with so many variations.

At the same time, once manufactured, the combat power of a mechanical combat beast was basically confirmed, with not much upgrade potential. The advantage was that it could immediately raise combat strength upon acquisition, something combat beasts couldnʼt compare to.

For races focusing on their own combat power, this thing wasnʼt very important. But in the Su Race here, it was clearly different. After all, once obtained, strength would immediately soar. Look at the expressions of these people now.

”Mechanical combat beast, ʼMountain Rageʼ!”

Even though not the first time seeing it, Kanaguʼs eyes still showed some desire.
”This is the most beautiful and powerful mechanical combat beast Iʼve ever seen.” Kanagu first made a statement, then said, ”Mountain Rage is thirteen meters long, seven meters at its highest point, three meters wide. The main material of its entire body is ʼDeer Night Crystalʼ. Yes, that very rare Deer Night Crystal that only produced in small amounts within Deer Night Beasts. Its sturdiness is self-evident; more importantly, it automatically repairs itself within a certain time after damage. That is to say, as long as the main frame isnʼt destroyed, this mechanical combat beast won’t be spoiled.”

The others were in awe.

No wonder this mechanical war beast looked so crystalline; it was made of active material. At the same time, one really had to admire the grand scale of the Taros Red Dwarves. Probably only they could collect so much Deer Night Crystal and use it to craft mechanical war beasts instead of the protective gear most suitable for this material.

”First of all, all mechanical war beasts can be ridden, and Mountain Rage is no exception. It can seat four people inside.”

Kanagu opened the cockpit of Mountain Rage, and everyone saw that inside this ʼmonster,ʼ there was a seat under the neck, at the hip, and on both sides of the abdomen.

”But when people are riding inside, the mechanical war beast can be manually operated. The front and rear positions control attacks, and the middle positions control movement. Naturally, with manual operation, coordination is clumsy; to achieve good results, a lot of practice is needed.”

Everyone except Ye Zhongming understood this point.

In fact, mechanical war beasts were rarely manually controlled because no matter how well a few people coordinated, they could not compare to the terminal. The seats inside were better suited for riding.

”Just like most mechanical war beasts, Mountain Rageʼs entire body is also a weapon. Teeth, claws, and tail can all be used for attacks. The head even has thickened armor, suitable for charging and smashing.”

As Kanagu spoke, he continuously pointed at different parts of Mountain Rageʼs body.

”In addition, Mountain Rageʼs attacks are concentrated in the eyes, mouth, both sides of the abdomen, and the mechanical legs.”

Kana Gu started with the eyes: ”The eyes can fire two cold rays lasting ten seconds each. They are low-temperaturerature and extremely powerful, with a ran15ifteen meters. They can shoot up to three times consecutively. The energy supplement is ʼHeart Fire Furnace Stone.ʼ”

”There are two types of attacks from the mouth. One ability, called ʼGlimmer Motion,ʼ is influenced by the controller. It is an expansion device for精神冲击,扩大 the impact range while maintaining intensity.”

Hearing this, Ye Zhongming raised an eyebrow.

”The second ability is ʼBurning Mountain.ʼ It spews fan-shaped flames from the mouth, with high temperature and with flame poison. It can last up to 30 seconds and has a maximum radius of 30 meters. The energy supplement is ʼScorching Flame Liquid.ʼ”

”Both sides of the abdomen can deploy four energy guns during battle, attacking forward and backward directions. The range is 200 meters, with extreme quick-firing speed. At full power, it can shoot continuously for ten minutes. The energy supplement is ʼMoonspan Gold.ʼ”

”On the mechanical legs, ʼCyclone Bladesʼ can fire when needed, protecting both sides of the body while launching indiscriminate attacks on targets within a two-meter range.”

”The entire energy support for Mountain Rage is Moonspan Gold. During full combat, the consumption is one thousand units per twenty minutes.”

Everyone frowned upon hearing this; this thing was a bit of a money burner. It consumed three thousand Moonspan Gold per hour, not counting the special energy needed for some attacks, such as Heart Fire Furnace Stone and Scorching Flame Liquid.

This thing was a bit of a resource hog.

”Is that all?” asked the Su Clanʼs heir.

He could not deny that these abilities were all good, but if that was all, it would only be Red Condensation-grade, right?

”Of course, thereʼs more.” Kanagu smiled. ”Mountain Rage, Mountain Rage. This monster can activate the Mountain Rage state when needed.”

”The consumption would more than triple, reaching ten thousand Moonspan Gold per hour.”

Everyone was a bit unhappy with this behavior of stating the consumption first and then the ability.

Kanagu smiled and said, ”The Mountain Rage state would instantly raise the combat power of the mechanical war beast, doubling all attributes and evolving the previous abilities. The duration of the cold rays doubled, and the range doubled. The influence range of Glimmer Motion becomes a 180-degree attack. Burning Mountain becomes a fireball attack, lasting one minute. During this time, it could continuously spew fireballs with a diameter of three meters and a maximum attack range of one hundred meters. When the fireball reached its max or was broken, it could produce a powerful explosion.”

”The energy guns turn into energy cannons, with unchanged shooting speed and range, but strength doubled. The Cyclone Blades would emit blade auras, expanding the attack range from the previous two meters to four meters.”

Only after saying all this were the various main functions of this mechanical war beast fully introduced. As for the details, the owner would have to slowly discover and try.

After listening, Ye Zhongming also felt awe in his heart. The technology of the Taros Red Dwarves was truly impressive. Crafting mechanical war beasts was different from crafting weapons and equipment; it involved too much knowledge and too advanced technology that he could not yet do.

”Price!”

The Su Clanʼs heir was already eager.
