Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2039: 3 Raini Grade

Ye Zhongming sighed inwardly; merchants were indeed merchants. Every word spoken and every action taken had its purpose.

Earlier, even leaving guests waiting to greet him and treating him well were meant to add another competitor to this small-scale, auction-like appraisal meeting—a competitor who had spent a lot of money proving his capability. With such a person participating, as long as the items were good, the price would likely exceed expectations.

And mentioning a piece of news, though not exactly confidential, but with significantly advanced timeliness, was meant to introduce this cloak.

A piece of equipment from a God Smithʼs hand versus one from an ordinary smith’s hand was definitely different. Even if the grades were the same, the intangible value contained within wasnʼt on the same level.

With these two moves combined, the profit from the items he intended to sell today was completely secured.

”Let me clarify one thing first: this Star Dou Cloak is a work from this God Smith several years ago. At that time, he probably hadnʼt yet become a God Smith.”

Kanagu explained. ”However, presumably his skills and techniques were already at their peak then, just one step away from being a God Smith. So this piece of equipment must be better than equipment of the same grade.”

”In fact, thatʼs indeed the case. Once I tell you its attributes, youʼll understand.”

Kanagu fully spread the cloak on the table, letting everyone examine it carefully.

”The first ability is naturally its defense. Donʼt think itʼs just a cloak; it has a cylindrical protection range. Once the wearer is attacked, it automatically releases an energy shield to block. The shieldʼs frontal defense is stronger, the rear slightly weaker. But considering the cloakʼs own defense, the difference between front and back is negligible.”
Using gestures to illustrate for everyone, Kanagu pointed at the cloak and said, ”The main material is the Heart Blue Ripple Satin of the Weaving Mulberry Race. You all know how precious this thing is, right?”

The Weaving Mulberry Race was a beast-controlling race, very skilled at raising and controlling combat beasts. One branch of their people specialized in raising an auxiliary insect-type combat beast. During molting, the outer skin of its body, excluding the head, becomes very tough and highly compatible. After some special processing, it became the best material for cloth armor.

That was what Kanagu mentioned: Heart Blue Ripple Satin.

”The second ability is lightness, increasing the wearerʼs agility. How much it increases depends on the compatibility with the equipment, up to doubling at most.”

”The third ability is elemental resistance. Whether fire, water, wind, earth, or light, darkness, the Star Dou Cloak has extremely strong defensive capabilities, basically reducing damage by sixty percent. This resistance also applies to the energy shield mentioned earlier.”

”The fourth: compatibility attribute increase. This ability is quite magical. It says that no matter what armor this cloak is paired with, it will increase both the armorʼs and its own attributes. The specific increase depends on the armorʼs attribute types and the wearerʼs type, and involves complex fusion ratios among different attributes. How it works exactly, youʼll have to experience for yourselves.”

”The fifth and sixth abilities are also the most magical and outstanding aspects of this equipment: during battle, starlight replenishes its energy, generating buffing effects when the cloak activates abilities. On this basis, there is a spirit array meticulously embroidered on the back by that God Smith Master. When starlight power accumulates fully, the spirit array transforms into a killing move, launching an attack on the target specified by the wearer. This attack is based on the wearerʼs offensive skill, enhancing and modifying it to achieve terrifying power.”

Regarding the earlier abilities, Ye Zhongming didnʼt think much of them. But the last ability related to starlight caught his attention.

At least, the equipment he made couldnʼt achieve such an effect yet. If that God Smith indeed made this piece of equipment, then undoubtedly, several years ago, he had already accomplished what Ye Zhongming couldnʼt.

”Price!”

The Su Race people had a natural ferver for various types of protective equipment. As soon as Kanagu finished introducing the Star Dou Cloakʼs abilities, that Su Race person directly asked about the price.

The others looked at Kanagu without speaking.

Intelligent people werenʼt only Kanagu. Couldnʼt the others figure out why Ye Zhongming was here? Regarding Kanaguʼs little maneuver, people just didnʼt say it out loud, but they wouldnʼt willingly let him scheme against them either.

Kanagu stretched out a finger.

This meant one million Moonspan Gold.

Everyone frowned.

The price for Red Condensation-grade equipment ranged from over ten thousand to fifty thousand. Even the best wouldnʼt exceed one hundred thousand Moonspan Gold. Raini Grade, one level above Red Condensation-grade, even if more expensive, shouldnʼt be ten times more expensive than the best Red Condensation-grade.

This price was a bit outrageous.

”Kanagu, what do you mean by this? Taking us for fools?”

Another Su Race person spoke for the first time.

”Of course not. You are all my most important clients; why would I cut off my own future?” Kanagu smiled bitterly. As for how much was genuine, only he knew.

”Itʼs just that this item is truly worth this price.” As a merchant, Kanagu was truly a good one. He pointed at the cloak and said, ”First, the material meant that its price cannot be low. Whether itʼs Heart Blue Ripple Satin, the key material used for embroidering the spirit array later, or the loud flame silk connecting the materials—all are precious items. Putting so many things together, how much would the material cost alone? Whatʼs even more rare is that this equipmentʼs abilities are really, really outstanding. Once you truly obtain it, youʼll know— it is all-rounded, an absolute great item.”

Kanagu bowed to everyone. ”Iʼll still be in this position, so I wonʼt deceive everyone about something that can be tested and proven true or false.”

”Finally, its added value: once the Taros Red Dwarves officially announce the birth of a God Smith, all equipment made by him will inevitably rise in price. The various implications of this, I think you all understand much better than I do.”

Having said all that needed to be said, the rest depended on whether anyone was tempted.

Upon hearing this price, the two outsiders had already decided to give up. They came here without any must-buy intentions; if suitable, they would naturally act; if not, they wouldnʼt force it.

But the two Su Race people were somewhat tempted, just hesitating due to the price, finding it hard to decide.

Kanagu glanced at Ye Zhongming. He truly hoped this big spender would make a move. That might make the two Su Race people unhappy and bid, leading to a few rounds of price wars—that would be best.

Unfortunately, he was disappointed. This moneybags showed not the slightest sign of being tempted.
