Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2047.5- I have more (4)

”We are a neutral camp...”

Kelan Su defended, but his voice grew weaker and weaker until it could hardly be heard later.

Ye Zhongming didnʼt even bother to refute; he just sneered coldly twice, making the face of this first heir, which had just stopped being so red, turn red again.

”Neutral” — these two words might fool ordinary members of the cosmic races, but as high-level members of a super major clan, they naturally knew what the reality was.

Indeed, the Su Clanʼs attitude seemed somewhat indifferent to worldly affairs, suggesting they navigated freely between the two major camps. But in fact, the two major campsʼ suppression of the Su Clan was constant.

If it werenʼt for the huge disagreements and fierce, bloody competition between the Reina Star and Huoʼer Star camps, the Su Clan would have been wiped out long ago when others had free hands.

Ye Zhongming understood this point clearly as well. On Earth, there were also neutral countries, but where were they? Tiny nations that had no impact on the overall situation. Their greatest role was probably providing a place for countries to quarrel safely.

But among the cosmic races, Starshine City was obviously more suitable for such a place. What the hell is your Su Clan?

”Over these years, the Su Clanʼs development has been stagnant. You might think the overall strength of the cosmic races is declining, but have you seen the supermajor clans and major clans advancing? And the speed of progress is very rapid.”

”Over these years, have you seen the rate at which small and medium races are vanishing accelerate? They disappear; who gets fat on the legacy they leave behind?”
”Over these years, those major clans you donʼt pay much attention to, do you know how powerful they have become? If all their hidden strength were revealed, to which place would your Su Clan be pushed?”

Ye Zhongmingʼs words werenʼt particularly impassioned, but this approach of specifically poking at wounds made every Su Clan member feel embarrassed while also feeling shaken.

It wasnʼt that they were instantly convinced or recognized the problems Ye Zhongming mentioned. After all, the higher the position and the wiser the mind, the more confident and even stubborn people tended to be; they placed greater trust in their own judgments.

It was just that this was the first time someone publicly placed this notion of the Su Clan ʼnot doing wellʼ in front of them.

”Have you noticed or not, recently, conflicts between the two major camps have decreased. The entire space appears very calm. Of course, you would say itʼs because of the nutrient wave and such reasons. But think from another angle: no matter the reason, doesnʼt it mean the two major camps now have ample time and energy? Then, wouldnʼt they point their spears at you?”

Ye Zhongming saw several people wanting to speak. He didnʼt give them a chance and continued, ”Alright, if you still think they wonʼt, then let me change the angle. Each nutrient wave greatly damages the vitality of the cosmic races. To reduce losses or make up for losses, would the two major camps find some other races to fill the potential deficit? I really canʼt think of anyone more suitable than the Su Clan camp.”

”Do we look that easy to bully?”

An elder, full of anger, felt Ye Zhongming was completely underestimating the Su Clan.

”Yes, you do indeed look easy to bully.” Ye Zhongming nodded calmly.

”No, you arenʼt just easy to bully in appearance; you are easy to bully.”

This time, even Jie Su rolled his eyes at Ye Zhongming.

”If the two major camps were to take action, they definitely wouldnʼt target their own camp or each otherʼs camp. Then who remains? Some minor races that, if eaten, wouldnʼt even be enough to fill their teeth, and the Taros Red Dwarves and the Su Clan. You tell me, compared to the Taros Red Dwarves, are you the easier side to bully?”

At this, the Su Clan members fell silent.

”Even if they donʼt directly attack you, what if they bully your affiliated races? Would you dare challenge the two major camps? To put it bluntly, even if your Su Clan faced any random super major clan, without Su City as reliance, you would be certain to lose, and lose badly... Donʼt be quick to deny it; think about it here.”

Ye Zhongming pointed to his head.

Strictly speaking, Ye Zhongmingʼs viewpoints were all based on the assumption that the two super camps would take action against the Su Clan. This was naturally a bold speculation made by Ye Zhongming and others, and also the point he would find hardest to answer if questioned.

But he deliberately spoke these things very quickly, directly steering the issue to how the Su Clan should respond. Then, as long as the Su Clan members started thinking about this problem, todayʼs goal would be half achieved.

Preventing crisis is the instinct of all life. Since Ye Zhongming pointed out the potential crisis, even if it was just speculation, they would subconsciously start considering countermeasures.

”I always judge the future in the worst possible scenario. I think the Su Clan should do the same. Being prepared for danger in times of peace is always a correct principle in any situation.”

Ye Zhongmingʼs tone softened, and his attitude became calmer.

”I know that neither I nor the Star-Eye Clan nor I have the qualifications to boss the Su Clan around. But we share the same crisis, naturally giving us the prerequisite to stand together.”

”Alright, I admit what you said makes sense.” That leader of the family, where the first heir belonged, said coldly. ”But even if our Su Clan faces such a crisis, what can you, or the Star-Eye Clan behind you, bring us? I really canʼt think of a single area where you are stronger than us!”

Ye Zhongming smiled and said, ”How is there not?”

The Cloud Peak King unhurriedly began taking things out of his space.

First, a small box was placed on the table.

”Open it and take a look.”

Seeing Ye Zhongmingʼs confident appearance, these Su Clan members were also somewhat bewildered. Even Jie Su didnʼt know what his good friend was up to.

Kelan Su walked over, wanting to take it, but was stopped by Ye Zhongming.

”Youʼd better not; you won’t understand anything.”

Kelan Su now had thoughts of killing Ye Zhongming.

Instead, Huo Zhi, the external surname elder, came over, picked it up, opened it, glanced inside, first looked puzzled, then was taken aback, and later turned to ecstatic.

He couldnʼt care about anything else and directly handed the box to Yaohan Su.

”Clan leader, look... this...”

Huo Zhi was a person rarely seen losing composure. The others were all wondering what he had seen to be like this.

Yaohan Su also looked strangely at his trusted aide before opening the box. It was fine if he didnʼt look; once he did, he abruptly stood up.

This time, the people in the room couldnʼt sit still anymore. Something that made two people lose composure like this must be extraordinary. So they all immediately crowded around.

Kelan Su, being close by, saw it when Huo Zhi looked, but just as Ye Zhongming said, he simply didnʼt recognize what it was.

But the other elders were different. After looking, they crowded closer and closer, until later, over a dozen heads were almost pressed together.

Ye Zhongming watched leisurely from the side and calmly said, ”I have more...”
