Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2034: million spending

Ye Zhongming sat on the bed, silently circulating his energy. He could feel his body recovering, but to be completely whole again would take at least a few days.

He opened his eyes, glanced outside, and decided to go out for a stroll.

According to Jie Su, the commercial streets in Su City were extremely prosperous, with goods far surpassing those in Dark Strip City. He wanted to see for himself.

After mastering the technique for creating Red Condensation-grade equipment, Ye Zhongming purchased all the materials through Dark Strip City. Those unavailable were acquired from other large cities through connections there.

Because he feared being discovered by the Taros Red Dwarves now, the channels and personnel for purchasing materials were scattered, which undoubtedly increased costs significantly.

If he could supplement some supplies within the Su Race, it would undoubtedly reduce the risk of being discovered by the Taros Red Dwarves and also save some costs.

He went out, called four of the eight Golden Mask Warriors assigned to protect him this time, along with He and Qizhen, and the group went out together.

The others stayed in the guest house.

”Su City is called a city, but itʼs more accurately a super city. Within just one city, the resident population exceeds 100 million. I really canʼt imagine it.” He looked at the towering buildings around, the bustling crowds, and the flow of vehicles on the ground and in the sky, a feeling of insignificance welling up. ”And this doesnʼt even include the four military camps and auxiliary cities around Su City belonging to the Su Race. Itʼs said there are over forty million people combined there.”

Ye Zhongming listened, not without emotion in his heart.
A city with a population exceeding a hundred million was indeed a shocking thing, but it didnʼt exceed Ye Zhongmingʼs imagination. After all, before Earthʼs apocalypse, there were already cities with populations close to forty million. On Survivor Fortresses like these artificial planets, populations were very concentrated. The Su Race was a super major race; having a city with a population exceeding a hundred million wasnʼt strange.

On the contrary, Ye Zhongming felt that races like the Reina Star people or the Huoʼer Star people had city clusters on their respective Survivor Fortresses, with populations of billions, far more powerful than the Su Race. Jie Su once said that, if you added up all the Su Race people scattered across various places, their population was only about 200 million, far less than Reina Star or Huoʼer Star. This might also be a reason the Su Race wasnʼt strong enough.

However, a city with a population exceeding a hundred million—one could imagine how developed its economy would be. Shops were everywhere here; almost every few blocks, there was a prosperous commercial street, bustling with crowds and very lively.

In the ten major districts of Su City, each district had a commercial center, which was where the most people and frequent trade occurred.

The place the group was going to by car was this districtʼs commercial center.

On the way, Jie Su got the news. He was busy and couldnʼt get away, so he sent an assistant to guide Ye Zhongming and the others.

”Order Leader, what do you want to buy? I can point you to the right places.”

This assistant meant the commercial center was too big; if they kept wandering, they wouldnʼt finish even in a whole day.

Ye Zhongming looked around, feeling a constant sense of being watched. Although his body couldnʼt fight for now, his keen perception remained.

He didnʼt think there was any danger—after all, in the Su Raceʼs city, no race would dare to assassinate him—but this feeling of being watched wasnʼt pleasant.

Ye Zhongming thought for a moment, then decided not to mind it. He said something to the assistant, and this person immediately led everyone around a corner onto another street.

”In Su City, the most popular things are naturally materials for setting up various arrays, followed by finished protective equipment and combat beasts, then various potions and such. The material category you mentioned doesnʼt rank high, so itʼs not in the most prosperous areas.”

Supply and demand determined prices. The Su Race was the race of arrays; materials for creating arrays were relatively higher priced here, and of course, the variety was the most complete. Besides, to compensate for their weakness in chance encounters, protective equipment and combat beasts that could assist them became the first choice, naturally having a good market.

As for potions and such, they were popular among all races, so ranking in the top three wasnʼt strange.

But materials for making equipment—this was a bit niche. After all, the number of artisans in the Su Race wasnʼt large, and their levels werenʼt high. Demand was low, so shops couldnʼt open in the most prosperous places; the rent there was too expensive.

However, this was relative. The total number of craftsmen in the Su Race was far beyond that of Dark Strip City. With a large base, demand naturally was higher. So when Ye Zhongming arrived and looked, professional shops were lined up one after another.

The assistant followed on the side, saying nothing more, only explaining a sentence or two when Ye Zhongming asked.

Entering the first shop, the goods already widened Ye Zhongmingʼs horizons. The variety was complete, quantity was large, and prices were low.

For an craftsman, this was simply paradise.

In his excitement, Ye Zhongming bought materials worth two hundred thousand Moonspan Gold in one go, startling Jie Suʼs assistant beside him.

This Star-Eye Clan person was way too rich!

He thought that was enough buying, but who knew Ye Zhongming would dive into a second shop.

This time, the Cloud Peak King restrained himself a bit, buying only one hundred eighty thousand Moonspan Gold worth of materials.

An hour later, Ye Zhongming had become the most popular person on this street. His spending had exceeded two million Moonspan Gold!

Not to mention, in the Su Race, in any city, this would absolutely be considered a major customer.

Those shops Ye Zhongming hadnʼt entered yet sent people to follow behind him. Seeing him free, they would swarm over, wanting to send their shopʼs promotional materials and inventory lists to Ye Zhongmingʼs terminal. If they saw Ye Zhongming show the slightest interest, they would immediately offer discounts and such to attract him to visit their shop.

Later, even many onlookers followed, forming a crowd of nearly a thousand people, forcing the city defense teams to come maintain order.

Ye Zhongming finally left after spending 2,300,000 Moonspan Gold.

The assistant from Jie Su following behind him was completely overwhelmed.

This guy was way too rich.

”Take me to see the places selling equipment.”

The assistant immediately agreed to Ye Zhongmingʼs request. This person was a big spender; he could go wherever he wanted.

Fortunately, no one followed them here; the group regained peace.

On the way to the equipment-selling area, they passed through the area selling combat beasts. Ye Zhongming had many combat beasts on Earth, and now there was the elusive Qiuqiu he had left in the wilderness outside Dark Strip City, so he was also very interested in this area, looking around as he walked.

The shops here, worthy of a super major raceʼs shops, had detailed introductions for the combat beasts they sold, whether they were cubs or beast eggs. The vast majority even had holographic photos showing their forms from birth to adulthood.

Just as Ye Zhongming was about to pass through this area, he was suddenly attracted by a light screen playing outside a shop. Without saying a word, he directly walked in.
