Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2052: Fighting a level above (3)

”Are you crazy?” Jie Su whispered anxiously beside him.

This was not the time to save face. He could refuse such a lineup outright. Although the other side didnʼt violate anything Ye Zhongming had stated, everyone knew in their hearts that this was actually a violation of the rules.

Who, when fighting against those inferior to them, would still resort to such tricks? Even if they won, would the Su Clan feel proud?

By seizing this point, there was still a chance to change the Su Clanʼs combat team.

Yaohan Su also ignored the others, looking at Ye Zhongming. As long as he wanted to back out, he himself would find a reason to have that side reselect people.

”Itʼs fine, letʼs go.”

Who would have thought Ye Zhongming refused everyoneʼs kindness?

The leader of Kelan Suʼs faction laughed heartily, no longer concealing his smugness.

He thought this kid was pretty good; his earlier actions forced everyone to the point of resorting to a battle to decide matters.

But this kid probably never imagined that his method wasnʼt something the Su Clan feared.
Still underestimating the Su Clan too much. The leader thought not without pride.

Ye Zhongming walked in front of the assault team and said softly to these warriors who had pledged allegiance to him earliest, ”The fight will be harder than expected, but donʼt have any burden. This is your first time using a new combat style, so winning or losing doesnʼt matter. Also, protect yourselves. After all, this isnʼt practice within the clan. You can lose, but you mustnʼt get hurt.”

After speaking, Ye Zhongming signaled to the opposite side that they could start. The hundred Su Clan members then stood in front of the Bronze Assault Team.

Compared to the Star-Eye Clan members, their formation was much more scattered. Originally, the experts stood at the front, but under Kelan Suʼs command, they stood on both sides and at the back.

Disdain appeared on the faces of Yaohan Su and the others.

In such an overwhelmingly advantageous situation, they still wanted to use this tactic of consuming the opponent first; it was somewhat disgraceful.

But Kelan Suʼs faction no longer cared; as long as they could win.

”Remove your equipment.” Ye Zhongming suddenly ordered.

The assault team members immediately took off their equipment.

Seeing this, the Su Clan people on the other side also took theirs off.

”At least not too foolish.”

Although the assault teamʼs equipment was also good, Ye Zhongming hadnʼt fully re-equipped them for now. But the opposite side was different. The Su Clan might be weaker, but that was compared to other major clans. The equipment for these warriors, who compensated for their shortcomings, was very good. In this aspect, the assault team couldnʼt compare. By having the assault team remove their equipment, the Su Clan people naturally couldnʼt wear theirs either. This way, it somewhat narrowed the gap between the two sides.

However, Kelan Suʼs leader didnʼt mind either; with overwhelming hard strength, having equipment or not was the same.

The simulation system activated, placing both sides in a real arena.

The Su Clan was a super major clan; this simulation system was also much more advanced than the Star-Eye Clanʼs, with better realism. Even the spectators entered the battlefield, standing on the spectator stands nearby to watch.

The Su Clan people moved first. They had every advantage; if they let the opponent attack first, they would feel ashamed.

”They moved.”

Jie Suʼs attention wasnʼt on his own clansmen but on the Star-Eye Clan members. Seeing the Su Clan warriors charge and the Star-Eye Clan also move, he couldnʼt help but speak.

It looked somewhat chaotic; each personʼs direction seemed different. But in the eyes of the Su Clan members, there was a vague familiarity.

At the moment of contact between the two sides, the Star-Eye Clan warriors at the front of the formation changed direction again, as if an opening appeared in their formation, swallowing the Su Clan people at once.

Both sides only held weapons; the sound of collision emerged from the beginning.

”Hmm?” Jie Su took a step forward, staring intently at the movement of the Star-Eye Clan members. From above, he saw something familiar, yet not quite like what he knew.

The other Su Clan high-ranking members had much sharper eyes than Jie Su and were all focused now, with obvious surprise and doubt in their gazes.

”Attack!”

Shi Yongʼs roar came through. The entire assault team attacked actively for the first time. Their weapons all swung in one direction, regardless of whether there were enemies there or not.

Strangely, the swung weapons formed a patch of light that lingered within the formation they composed. When they retracted their weapons, this light began to fly and wander back and forth within the formation.

The Star-Eye Clan members then retreated five steps. In the area they vacated, at least over a dozen people lay on the ground—low-level Su Clan warriors who had been knocked out in the earlier close combat.

”Formation?” Yaohan Su narrowed his eyes and uttered one word.

The formation the Star-Eye Clan now used was indeed a type of formation. Each person acted as an energy hub within the formation, activating the characteristics of this formation through their attacks.

These miraculously lingering and attacking lights in the air were one of its characteristics.

If the Su Clan members didnʼt recognize what this formation was, they would already suspect Jie Su of leaking secrets.

Of course, the ability these Star-Eye Clan members used now wasnʼt something they themselves knew. They could make various materials into formation eyes, but couldnʼt use people standing there as substitutes.

Also, even with the Ten Great Formations, they couldnʼt move them. But people could move because they didnʼt need to be in fixed positions.

Many Su Clan members were very excited. If the core ability these Star-Eye Clan members used now was truly a formation, then the significance of this matter might even rival the invention of the traveling formation. Because this meant the Su Clanʼs formations had another use, a major use!

Their gazes turned somewhat fervent towards Ye Zhongming.

At this time, the situation on the field changed. Those fifty low-level warriors used as cannon fodder had all been eliminated. Facing the significantly strengthened blade lights and sword lights, they had no resistance at all.

With these people eliminated, the Star-Eye Clan members directly faced those experts with around twenty thousand Furelai. Everyone knew this was the main event.

Could the formationʼs ability compensate for the gap in individual strength?

”Change!”

Shi Yong and Ou Chong shouted almost simultaneously. The entire assault teamʼs formation changed accordingly. The Su Clan warriors had already noticed the difference and naturally wouldnʼt allow them to change formation at ease. Many seized the opportunity to attack nearby people.

After all, there was too great a gap in personal ability; immediately, over a dozen assault team warriors were struck down.

But more had entered their predetermined positions.

Half of the people swung their weapons towards their comrades beside them, making the Su Clan people stunned.

Was this suicide? What did it mean?

But what astonished and shook them was that the light generated by these weapons didnʼt cut through their companionsʼ bodies but instead imprinted into them.

As the light entered their bodies, these people also began swinging their blades. Dozens of intensified blade lights immediately pounced towards the enemies ahead.
