Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The surveyor was extremely meticulous in collecting data during the sea trial.

After leaving the Zhoushan Archipelago, the yacht continued northward along the predetermined course.

At this time, Li Younan and his crew had just passed Shengsi County, the northernmost part of the Zhoushan Archipelago.

Their route was to travel southeast from Hengsha Island, then head directly north without passing Hengsha Island again.

After passing through Yushan Island, they would bypass Hengsha directly, arriving at the mouth of the Yangtze River before proceeding straight towards Qingdao.

The upcoming route was a critical transition point as Li Younan’s yacht left the Zhoushan Archipelago and sailed into open waters.

The channel ahead was a famous fishing area, and December was the peak fishing season. The currents were swift, reaching speeds of three to four knots during high tide, with complex flow patterns.

The surveyor began to collect and verify important data on the yacht.

However, for Qin Yue, this upcoming stretch was quite familiar, and there was no problem piloting the yacht.

Only when Li Younan confirmed everything was fine did he feel at ease to wander around.

The earlier wind and waves only affected Ren Xiaohuan—the young girl was on a boat for the first time. Despite Li Younan’s smooth navigation, even this mild swaying made her feel somewhat seasick.

At this time, Lu Zhiqing was giving her some simple treatment.

Ren Xiaohuan was brought to the dining area in the middle cabin of the yacht. Her face was pale as she leaned by the window, continuously gazing at the horizon.

Lu Zhiqing handed her some light salted water and, seeing Li Younan approaching, said somewhat helplessly, ”She just threw up. We need to replenish her electrolytes.”

Seeing Li Younan, Ren Xiaohuan managed a feeble smile. ”Sorry, I... I’m so useless.”

Li Younan laughed heartily, ”It’s not too bad. I don’t think your state is very severe. It’s alright, you’ll get used to it after a while.”

There really isn’t any particularly good remedy for seasickness; it’s something you adapt to with practice. The more you sail, the more your body gradually adjusts.

Ren Xiaohuan nodded.

Then Li Younan continued to inspect other rooms.

At that time, Liu Li and Jing Chaoyi had just finished checking a few guest bedrooms. They seemed to be in good spirits with no signs of seasickness.

Li Younan conducted a thorough inspection and was satisfied that there were no flaws in any area of the yacht.

However, Li Younan did not stay in the other areas for too long, as this sea area was rather complex overall, and he needed to return to the flybridge as soon as possible to oversee things.

Back in the helm, the surveyor was discussing something with Qin Yue. Noticing Li Younan’s arrival, the surveyor immediately spoke with a tone of respect, ”Captain Li, I didn’t expect your ship-driving skills to be so impressive.”

Qin Yue added from the side, ”He initially thought it was me navigating through the rough patch.”

”Hehe,” Li Younan shook his head nonchalantly, ”It’s not an overly challenging stretch of rough waters; it wouldn’t be dangerous for you either.”

Qin Yue shook her head, ”It wouldn’t be dangerous, but definitely not as stable.”

At this point, the surveyor picked up his phone and said, ”I got a call from a friend earlier. Our yacht was captured passing through the rough seas.”

”My friend is on a research ship in this waterway. They have industrial-grade drones used for scientific work and managed to film a video, which he sent to me.”

The surveyor continued, ”But I heard from First Mate Qin that you recently obtained your captain’s professional qualification, right?”

Li Younan nodded with a smile.

Receiving confirmation, the surveyor marveled, ”Indeed, driving a ship requires a knack. Are you interested in becoming a part-time maritime consultant?”

”Consultant?”

Li Younan blinked, not having answered yet, when the other party quickly added, ”Oh, occasionally, some shipping companies or private yacht owners are looking for experienced navigation consultants for high-end sea exploration and collaborative island tourism resource development projects. They come to us for recommendations.”

Li Younan thought about it. This was also an opportunity to broaden his network, so he agreed.

At this time, Li Younan moved to the helm, gazed at the waters ahead, and suddenly thought of something. ”Qin Yue, help me activate the multibeam echosounder.”

Qin Yue was taken aback but then recalled that incidents of fishing boats and merchant ships colliding had occurred in the waters ahead both last year and this year.

Li Younan exhaled lightly.

The yacht voyage at hand wasn’t exactly a leisurely journey, but it was alright; once past this stretch, it would all be smooth sailing.
