Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan rode that wave, and quickly went on to the next one.

For him, catching waves is as natural as breathing, certainly not a challenge to overcome.

For beginners, however, an important metric is the stability of standing up on the board.

Generally, from paddling to standing, experts can do it instantly, while newbies typically take two to three, or even three to four seconds.

Yes, once they’re up, beginners can usually only ride for ten meters, whereas experts go for at least thirty meters.

For Li Younan, the distance he rides depends on how far he is from the shore when catching the wave; as long as the wave is there, he can keep riding.

After experiencing several waves, ordinary surfing no longer satisfied Li Younan, so he wanted to try something exhilarating.

When the next wave came, Li Younan saw that it was a fairly large one. After successfully catching it and feeling the lift transform into forward momentum, a bold idea suddenly popped into his mind...

On the shore, both Mao Xiaoye and the female assistant were left utterly speechless by Li Younan’s surfing skills.

The female assistant silently calculated, ”It seems Teacher Li caught every single wave.”

She turned her head to look at Mao Xiaoye, ”His wave-catching success rate is 100%, right?”

Mao Xiaoye didn’t know what to say for a moment. To achieve an 80% success rate in wave-catching already marks someone as a top expert with absolute authority in the industry.

Yet here was Li Younan, successfully catching every wave without exception... This had to be luck, right? It must be luck, right?

Mao Xiaoye couldn’t help but think to herself, she had previously boasted about wanting to teach Li Younan how to surf... What was she thinking? Where did she get that confidence from?

Just then, there was another burst of exclamations from the beach, with many people taking out their phones to record.

Mao Xiaoye immediately stood up, dumbfounded as she watched the latest wave.

Because after Li Younan paddled, he didn’t opt for the usual stand-up motion, but instead slapped the board with both hands and instantly did a handstand.

Hand... handstand on the board?

Huh?

As everyone watched his incredible performance, Li Youran was having a different kind of experience on the board.

Even for Li Younan, it was a sensory overturning experience.

Honestly, the wave shapes in this area aren’t very good; although the waves haven’t exceeded 1.5 meters yet, the shapes are poor, making balance difficult to maintain.

At the moment of standing up, for Li Younan, it was a clash of weightlessness and control, with his center of gravity instantly shifting upwards, and the surfboard beneath his feet turning into a floating fulcrum. The biggest shock was the visual upheaval; the formerly horizontal sea surface became a vertical backdrop, a blue wall of waves spreading out before him, with the spray’s trajectory clearly visible.

Li Younan could see the movement of the waves beneath the water, and the sounds of the waves and the wind were even louder in his ears, the roar of the splintering waves even more thrilling.

To be fair, this was thanks to Li Younan’s strong arm strength, after all, he possessed top-tier rock climbing skills.

In conventional surfing, one needs extremely strong core and leg strength to control balance, and Li Younan was using a shortboard, further complicating his move in such poor wave conditions.

Even for him, there was a thrilling feeling that he might fall, but precisely because of this, when looking at the wave wall, there arose a transparent sensation of having conquered the sea.

Mao Xiaoye genuinely admired, ”To be honest, the waves here are already quite fast and big. I initially thought that even if Li Younan could surf, he might only be at the beginner level, and worried that the waves here might be too much for him. I didn’t expect him to handle it so skillfully.”

Having lightly experienced it, Li Younan thought the surfing felt really good, but overall, the waves here still weren’t very high quality.

For Li Younan, truly good waves must first be tall, not asking for much, at least three meters, because it’s only above three meters that tubular waves easily form.

If you’re not surfing tubular waves, can it even be called surfing?

Having returned to the shore, Mao Xiaoye suddenly remembered that despite filming footage of Li Younan surfing, she hadn’t yet appeared in the video herself.

And by then, Li Younan was already getting ready to leave.

Seeing Mao Xiaoye in a hurry, Li Younan chuckled and said, ”No worries, just splice these shots of me surfing into your video and post it.”

Mao Xiaoye felt a little embarrassed for a moment, hurriedly saying, ”Then... then I’ll make it a collaborative video.”

”Anything’s fine.”

Li Younan wasn’t really concerned about such matters, but it was indeed important for Mao Xiaoye.

At this moment, Chen Chong finally called; he was on his way over in an SUV, bringing a full set of diving gear.

Li Younan calculated the time and realized Chen Chong was actually half an hour late.

Li Younan changed his clothes in Mao Xiaoye’s RV.

When Chen Chong arrived, he quickly got out of the car and apologized, ”I’m sorry, there was traffic on the way. I left early, but was still a little late.”

Feeling quite apologetic, Chen Chong didn’t mention anything about Li Younan’s surfing, and they got in the car. ”Let’s go, and see what the Dragon Palace is like.”

For Li Younan, it would be his first time diving in the sea, and the thought of it brought some excitement.

Shortly after Li Younan left, Mao Xiaoye eagerly edited together her surfing video with Li Younan’s, and clicked publish.
