Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

It was Li Younan’s first time diving outdoors.

Even though he now had a genuine diving certificate, Chen Chong still meticulously relayed many diving precautions and knowledge to him.

The primary purpose of Chen Chong’s dive this time was photography, and Li Younan was also a photographer.

For this dive, Li Younan brought a camera along as well.

After boarding the boat, his fellow team members helped Li Younan check his diving equipment once more.

For this journey, Li Younan planned to record it with his camera because he hadn’t forgotten that his main responsibility was still as a travel blogger.

He sat on the boat and spoke to the camera: ”Next, I’m going to dive into the sea for the first time in my life. I have already obtained my diving license, so there’s no need for everyone to worry about my diving skills.”

Then, Li Younan panned the camera over to Chen Chong and said with a smile, ”This is Photographer Chen, and today our main goal is to dive to find the legendary underwater Dragon Palace.”

Chen Chong smiled and waved at the camera.

They were on a small fishing boat; for this task, it’s unlikely they’d take a yacht.

The boat swayed a lot, and if someone were prone to seasickness, the undulating sea could easily unsettle their stomach.

But for Li Younan, he had no such worries at all.

With so many skills acquired, if he couldn’t even overcome seasickness, how could he partake in extreme sports like wingsuit flying, mountain biking, or rappelling?

As the boat headed for the target waters, Chen Chong took out photos and videos previously taken by others, and Li Younan watched beside him.

Overall, these photos and videos were not carefully done, and could only be considered barely watchable.

However, the underwater houses, archways, stone floors, and even the ceramic bowls, plates, and cups inside the houses still left an impact on the viewers.

Li Younan had never tried underwater photography, but he thought about his all-encompassing travel photography exhibition, and underwater photography would fit that theme well. He realized it would be great to take some good photos to fill it in.

Besides, Li Younan had a small personal wish.

During this underwater exploration, if convenient, he wanted to bring back a souvenir.

This so-called underwater Dragon Palace is occasionally visited by local fishermen diving down to fetch a piece or two as burial accessories for when the village holds funerals.

However, such burial goods’ significance was attributed by them; Li Younan did not view the objects found underwater in the same way.

If possible, picking up one or two small items to take back would not be a waste of this experience.

Soon, the fishing boat arrived at the target waters, and Chen Chong communicated once again with another dive team member accompanying him, and exchanged underwater operation signals with Li Younan.

It’s important to know that spoken communication is impossible underwater, so all communications depend on hand gestures.

After another equipment check, they finally decided to dive.

Li Younan bit down on the oxygen mouthpiece, leaned backward, and he was in the sea.

With the entry into the water, the pressure surged, and Li Younan felt his whole body relax.

This feeling was very wondrous; through the seawater, seeing the sky outside seemed like the real world was isolated by the sea.

The light outside penetrated the water, forming various light patterns, and everything became completely silent around the ears.

At this moment, Chen Chong tapped him and gestured with his hands.

Li Younan understood it was to confirm his status, so he nodded towards him.

Afterward, Chen Chong pointed downward, meaning it was okay to dive deeper.

Underwater, although there were diving buddies, you ultimately rely on yourself.

Chen Chong confirmed Li Younan wasn’t a complete novice with no idea of what to do, so he eased up and started swimming towards the predetermined target spot. Li Younan quietly followed behind.

As they descended deeper, the pressure increased, although from the surface to the seabed was only about a dozen meters.

When they dived to about seven or eight meters, the seawater became somewhat muddy, and floating debris could be seen, with the legendary Dragon Palace appearing faintly in sight.

Li Younan saw rows of crumbling walls collapsed in the water, along with wells, broken tiles, and various stone blocks that were clearly man-made, covered by silt and seaweed.

There were some stone buildings that hadn’t completely collapsed.

Seeing these scenes shocked Li Younan’s heart.

It’s hard to describe this feeling.

His mind began to imagine the scene before this place sank hundreds of years ago; in a sense, this was a real-life Atlantis.

At this moment, Li Younan slowly hovered at the highest point of this Dragon Palace, which was a stone building not fully collapsed.

His gaze swept over the exquisite carvings on those massive stone blocks.

Though he had seen related information before, when the patterns carved on them vividly appeared in front of him, he still felt a complex emotion that was hard to express.

Li Younan took out his camera.

Unbeknownst to him, while he did this, Chen Chong and the other diver watched him with some surprise.

Their astonishment lay in the diving skills Li Younan exhibited at that moment.

In diving, a significant core ability that reflects diving proficiency is neutral buoyancy control.
