Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Jing Chaoyi recognized him, which actually didn’t surprise him much.

He often mingled in those poetic places... In fact, he really liked reading poetry too, always carrying a worn-out volume of Neruda’s poems in his bag, with a pen and a small notebook tucked into the side pocket to jot down inspirational moments.

And undoubtedly, Hengsha Island is a place perfectly fitting for artistic youth.

Therefore, encountering someone who knew him here wasn’t unexpected.

But he actually hated being recognized by others.

It would be noisy.

Thankfully, the girl in front of him didn’t act annoyingly chatty like other fans.

Pretty good.

He enjoyed the quiet time, waiting for Jing Chaoyi to help him check-in, and his gaze unconsciously glanced at Li Younan and Liu Li, with his first thought being: these two people’s looks are striking, they’d make great portrait photos.

Right then, his phone beeped.

He silently fished out the phone, and frowned slightly; a junior had sent him a photo with a note: ”Ye Bro, could you check how this photo turned out?”

It was a picture of the starry sky over the grasslands.

Picking up the phone, he unceremoniously replied via voice message, critiquing: ”You still have the same old issue, relying on post-editing to mask technical flaws. Using trickery, you’ll be exposed eventually. My evaluation is, this is a worthless photo.”

By then, Jing Chaoyi had completed Lu Ye’s check-in procedures, respectfully handing over the room card and ID, saying: ”Your room is ready, it’s the first room on the right upstairs.”

Lu Ye nodded slightly, then suddenly turned his gaze toward Li Younan and Liu Li, organizing his words before speaking: ”Hello, would you mind if I took a photo of the two of you?”

Liu Li appeared somewhat puzzled, glancing at Li Younan.

Li Younan didn’t mind, shrugged with a smile: ”Sure.”

Liu Li hesitated for a moment, not objecting but said: ”Well... make sure you take a good one.”

Li Younan had taken so many photos for her before, each of which she adored, but her taste had become picky, and she had standards for photos now.

Lu Ye couldn’t help but laugh lightly, shook his head calmly, saying: ”It might be the best photo you’ve seen.”

Liu Li blinked, wearing a doubtful expression: ”Is your photography really that good?”

By this time, Lu Ye was slowly picking up his camera.

Facing Liu Li’s skepticism, he was actually quite satisfied internally.

Being questioned and then proving oneself with skill is the most exciting thing.

Back when he entered Beijing Film Academy’s photography department and studied under an old professor, later utilizing winter and summer breaks for backpack travels, he didn’t know how many classic photos he had taken over the years.

Especially when, at the age of 30, he began photographing around the globe, capturing wherever he went; among those moved to tears by his photos, there were at least seven or eight, if not ten.

Being questioned wasn’t a usual occurrence.

Because he was well aware he looked just like a top photographer.

So the vast majority of those being photographed accepted his work with anticipation, whereas those who outright questioned, like Liu Li, were a first.

He shook his head, directing Liu Li to step back, pose, and even kindly said to Li Younan: ”Don’t rush, I’ll get to you soon.”

Li Younan blinked, ”Oh... okay, no rush.”

After taking a few shots in the inn, he then directed Liu Li to shoot outside.

After all, he came to Hengsha Island upon hearing about its conducive atmosphere for photography, and indeed, it didn’t disappoint him upon arrival.

Though it didn’t boast breathtaking natural scenery or recognizable influencer spots, the overall ambiance was indeed conducive to photography.

And without a doubt, with Liu Li’s looks, she was more than capable as a model.

Lu Ye snapped several photos consecutively, then put down the camera, opened the preview, and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips while looking at the images inside.

Meanwhile, Liu Li had already come over to ask how they turned out, to which he merely said casually: ”True light and shadow have their own meaning.”

Lu Ye was very against excessive post-editing of digital images, in his view, genuine light capture was a humble gaze upon the world.

And these photos of Liu Li he took were highly satisfying, whether in composition, light and shadow, or the model’s poses, all were excellent.

Of course, Liu Li actually didn’t need much posing; under the camera’s language, she was impeccable from any angle.

Liu Li came over, and confidently, he handed the camera to her: ”You can take a look.”

Liu Li picked up the camera, casually flipped through for a moment, first looking somewhat confused, then growing increasingly bewildered. She flipped back and forth and then raised her head: ”Is that all?”

Lu Ye’s face showed a slightly stunned expression, quickly snapping back: ”If you like, I can give all these photos to you.”

Liu Li raised her head with a smile: ”No need, just help delete them.”

Then, she very straightforwardly returned the camera to Lu Ye, instantly freezing his expression.

”Delete... delete them?”

He seriously stared at Liu Li for a few seconds, suddenly comprehending something.

His mind instantly cleared—this girl didn’t dislike them, but like him, she valued the momentary resonance hundreds of times more than the preserved images of their kind.
