Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Seeing a guest come in, Jing Chaoyi hadn’t reacted yet when Liu Li’s expression lit up.

After all, this was the first guest today, and she hurried forward like an enthusiastic hostess: ”Hello, hello, are you here to stay?”

The guest entering the shop was a short-haired girl wearing a sleeveless denim jacket, showing off arms with noticeable muscle lines.

Though the muscles weren’t large in circumference, they were already quite rare among females.

She wore loose denim pants and boots, with a black leather belt around her waist.

With sunglasses on, she gently took them off and said in a slightly raspy voice: ”I’m looking for Li Younan, I’m here for a job interview.”

She casually took off a small bag she was carrying, prompting Jing Chaoyi and Liu Li to look at Li Younan with some suspicion.

Li Younan’s expression was also a bit odd as he asked: ”What position are you applying for?”

The newcomer saw Li Younan and blinked her eyes, saying: ”My name is Shen Mo. I saw your video before; you’re putting together a crew, right? I noticed that you have a security personnel position listed, and I’m here to apply for that.”

”Security personnel?” Li Younan’s expression became somewhat peculiar again.

His previous idea for security personnel was more along the lines of a ”porter-kid,” and even though he had mentioned this intention in a video, he hadn’t formally posted any job notices yet.

He asked curiously: ”How did you know I was here?”

Shen Mo said: ”I previously worked as security personnel for President Gao. Here are my security guard certification and bodyguard qualification certificate.”

She took out two documents from her bag to show Li Younan.

Li Younan casually pointed to a small table and chairs in the guest house lobby and said: ”Please take a seat over there.”

He then told Jing Chaoyi: ”Junior, help me pour this lady a cup of tea.”

Jing Chaoyi nodded, and Liu Li quickly said: ”Senior, I’ll go with you.”

Shen Mo wasn’t shy, nodded, and went over to sit down.

Li Younan slowly walked to the chair opposite her and sat down, asking: ”Did Brother Gao recommend you to come here?”

Shen Mo shook her head, saying: ”I decided to come by myself.”

Li Younan thought for a moment and said: ”You can start by introducing yourself.”

Shen Mo nodded and slowly began: ”I’m 25 years old, from an ordinary family.”

”Because of my good physical condition as a child, I joined the city’s sports school to practice Sanda, Taekwondo, and Judo. By the age of 18, I had already won many places in provincial competitions.”

”After turning 18, I served in the army for two years and then retired.”

”After retirement, I entered a bodyguard training institution where I systematically learned the knowledge of this industry. I formally started working at the age of 20.”

Li Younan nodded slightly, noncommittally.

Shen Mo continued to narrate calmly: ”At first, I was responsible for backstage security at celebrity concerts. Later, through chance, I met President Gao and provided security services for his commercial events.”

”Two years ago, I became President Gao’s wife’s personal bodyguard.”

Li Younan interjected: ”Why aren’t you doing it anymore?”

Shen Mo shrugged her shoulders and said: ”President Gao and his wife divorced.”

Li Younan blinked and didn’t comment.

Shen Mo continued: ”President Gao is a very good person and wanted to arrange for me to transfer to other locations to continue working for him, but I don’t know how to do other jobs. Later, he mentioned that you seemed to have such an opportunity here, so I came.”

At this moment, Jing Chaoyi came out with the tea, with Liu Li alongside and looking at Shen Mo curiously.

Li Younan placed the tea in front of Shen Mo, thought for a moment, and said: ”Your work is very professional, and since Brother Gao noticed you, it indicates your capabilities are outstanding.”

But Li Younan hesitated for a bit and then said: ”However, you might have a misunderstanding about the job I’m offering.”

Shen Mo raised an eyebrow.

Li Younan said: ”Well, I’m just an ordinary person with some reputation. Actually, I may not need such professional security.”

Shen Mo paused: ”Is this a rejection?”

Li Younan shook his head: ”No, it’s not a rejection.”

He stood up and said: ”I can see that you really like your work...”

”Yes, I view it as a career. For me, being able to protect the safety of others brings a sense of achievement.”

”Exactly, that is the issue.” Li Younan said, ”If you’re truly my bodyguard, or the bodyguard for my team, you might feel a sense of disappointment.”

There was a hint of confusion in Shen Mo’s eyes: ”Disappointment?”

Li Younan nodded and said: ”Although I’m not well-versed in bodyguard work, based on your previous description, I presume your usual tasks are fairly technical, like setting up in a venue beforehand, doing preventive measures, planning escape routes, assessing risks to others, right? Sometimes you might also use specialized equipment, organize, and deploy professional staff members?”

Li Younan smiled: ”But if, after you start working, you discover that your tasks are just carrying bags, doing odds and ends, or even going on trips, wouldn’t you feel a great sense of disappointment?”

Shen Mo hesitated for a moment, then stood up: ”I understand now; you need not a bodyguard but someone to do odd jobs?”

Li Younan thought for a while and said: ”That’s not entirely correct.” He pointed at Liu Li, ”Look, this weak girl who couldn’t harm a chicken is very important to me.”

Liu Li blinked, weak and unable to even harm a chicken?
