Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan just smiled calmly, ”Trust me, I can handle it.”

Mao Xiaoye thought about Li Younan’s excellent skiing skills. Although she hadn’t seen any videos of Li Younan surfing, she thought it over and half-jokingly said, ”No worries, if you get tired of playing with the shortboard, you can just use my longboard.”

While speaking, she patted her own longboard.

This was a very tactful remark, as it helped pave the way for Li Younan, so even if his shortboard experience failed, he would have an easy out.

Li Younan carried a bag with him, inside it were swimming trunks.

Today there wasn’t strong ultraviolet light by the seaside; although the weather was hot, it wasn’t scorching.

Li Younan changed into swimming trunks in Mao Xiaoye’s RV, and when he came out of the RV, Mao Xiaoye and the others outside were visibly stunned.

To be fair, Mao Xiaoye was nearly 1.7 meters tall, with a curvy waist and hips, sexy and fiery; any guy who meets her standards must have at least model-level looks.

Yet, even under her critical gaze, when she saw Li Younan, she couldn’t help but swallow.

Apart from his looks, Li Younan’s height, beautifully defined abs, solid but not bulky pecs, and strong arms all exuded masculine hormones.

Mao Xiaoye lightly licked her lips and asked with a grin, ”Brother Li, do you have a girlfriend?”

Li Younan answered without hesitation, ”Yes.”

Mao Xiaoye was taken aback, blinked, and suspiciously said, ”Really or not?”

Li Younan said with conviction, ”Absolutely true.”

Regarding Liu Li’s existence, Li Younan had no intention of hiding it.

It’s just that Liu Li didn’t want to be on camera, so she didn’t appear in his videos.

However, he wasn’t an idol star, merely from a sense of responsibility to Liu Li, Li Younan wouldn’t deny the matter of having a girlfriend.

Not sure if Mao Xiaoye believed him or not, she shook her head, ”That’s really a pity, otherwise I’d love to chase you, Brother Li.”

Li Younan checked his watch, there were only fifty plus minutes left until the meeting time with Chen Chong.

Better hurry up and experience it, otherwise, there really won’t be time later.

Since Li Younan stated he could surf, Mao Xiaoye didn’t need to teach him.

Just now she’d been surfing continuously, feeling a bit tired, while Li Younan needed to adapt, so Mao Xiaoye initially just sat on the beach resting.

At this time, the little girl who had previously chatted with Li Younan—a new assistant recruited by Mao Xiaoye—sat next to her, the two of them chatted.

The other two cameramen filmed shots of Li Younan using cameras and drones, respectively.

”What is a wave?”

”A wave is a height difference.”

”As long as there is a height difference, you can slide down from a high place like in skiing.”

”This is surfing.”

Mao Xiaoye explained surfing to the assistant in the most understandable language possible.

”However, in seawater, the height difference created by waves can’t be directly used for gliding.”

”Because when waves move, they haven’t formed broken white waves yet... In surfing professional terminology, we call them green waves; at this stage, ocean waves don’t have friction, the rising buoyancy will lift a person directly, and send them behind the wave.”

”What we need to do at this time is paddle and catch the wave.”

”The essence of paddling is to break the buoyancy and flow stability threshold of the green waves through self-generated propulsion, allowing you to slide down the wave.”

Hearing terms like ”buoyancy” and ”flow stability,” the assistant’s expression showed admiration, ”Sister Cat, you’re amazing, you even understand these things.”

Mao Xiaoye laughed and said, ”I’m a science girl.”

”Learn math, physics, and chemistry well, and you’ll never be afraid, even at sea.”

Their attention was now focused on Li Younan.

First, one indicator to judge whether a beginner has entered the game is their wave-catching success rate.

Wave catching is the core maneuver in surfing; simply put, it’s about having the surfboard break through that threshold and generate propulsion, only then can the board ride steadily.

Mao Xiaoye said, ”Generally speaking, a beginner’s wave-catching success rate won’t exceed 30%, and typically, only a success rate of 60% or higher is considered entry-level.”

She then pointed to the waves on this beach, ”But here, compared to famous surfing beaches in Sanya or Wanning, the difficulty level is higher, so even for a newcomer, a success rate of 40% or so is impressive.”

The assistant looked at Li Younan, ”How high do you think Teacher Li’s success rate could be?”

Mao Xiaoye shook her head, ”It’s hard to say.”

The assistant asked again, ”Which is harder, skiing or surfing?”

Mao Xiaoye hadn’t surfed before, but she knew a bit about skiing and thought for a moment, saying, ”I think each has its difficulties. Skiing is relatively easy to get started but hard to advance; surfing is harder to get started but easier to progress.”

”Why is that?” the assistant asked curiously.

Mao Xiaoye said, ”Because skiing has a whole process of gradual learning, if you spend time daily learning, such as starting from leaf fall, edge switching on a snowboard, slowly progressing with ski slopes, eventually after some time, you can film a very continuous video.”

”But surfing is different. Many novices surf for a long time and can’t even get past the first steps of wave catching and board standing, and without mastering wave catching and board standing, you won’t experience a single smooth surfing run no matter how hard you practice.”
