Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

At this moment, Li Younan was already paddling out to sea on his surfboard, and their conversation came to a halt as both looked towards him, slightly nervous.

Since Li Younan was using one of the more challenging surfboards, the shortboard, Mao Xiaoye didn’t expect him to catch a wave successfully on his first try.

Meanwhile, Li Younan, paddling on the ocean, was experiencing something different, the vast sea stretching endlessly before him.

This was Li Younan’s first time swimming in the ocean. Although he had swum in pools before, there was no denying that the ocean was a completely different experience.

The waves here were rapid, and his entire body rose and fell with the ebb and flow of the water.

How to describe this feeling... It was like being in a constantly rocking swimming pool.

Compared to a pool, the ocean’s most distinctive feature is its constant motion, giving you a profound sense of how small humans really are compared to nature.

But Li Younan only felt this briefly before quickly adapting to the sensation of being in the sea.

He possessed many skills related to the ocean, whether it was diving, swimming, or surfing, which he was about to do now. Reaching level 3... he vaguely gained a somewhat exaggerated ability.

Li Younan felt that just by touch and sound in the ocean, he could judge the upcoming wave’s shape and speed, and even predict storms...

This feeling was very mystical, like a sixth sense, similar to how one could intuitively foresee potential mountain hazards when climbing.

And since the sea is constantly changing, this ability made Li Younan’s experience even more mystical, like being able to communicate with the ocean.

Right then, Li Younan instinctively sensed that the next wave wasn’t a very good one; its slope was very irregular, but with the right position and angle, it could still be ridden.

Soon, Li Younan paddled to a deeper spot.

Because the waves in this area weren’t suitable for beginners, there weren’t many people surfing.

When surfing, there are some unwritten rules, one of which is wave priority—a wave can only be taken by one person at a time, and the core rule is the closest surfer to the wave’s peak and the first to catch the wave has priority, while others must yield.

At this time, Mao Xiaoye on the shore had already noticed this wave wasn’t good and shook her head, saying, ”This wave won’t do.”

Not only did she notice, but other surfers waiting in the water also saw it. This was a very irregular wave, so experienced surfers didn’t even intend to catch it.

However, Li Younan quickly paddled to one side, and as the wave approached, his body was lifted by the wave, and he began to paddle.

Mao Xiaoye furrowed her brows slightly, ”This wave is hard to catch...”

Yet, this was Li Younan.

The space for surfing was very brief, but not impossible to catch.

Li Younan merely paddled vigorously a couple of times and, at a certain critical point, stood up without hesitation.

Seeing Li Younan’s effortless pop-up maneuver, Mao Xiaoye’s eyes widened.

The speed of the pop-up is a distinct marker separating experts from novices.

Although Li Younan said he could surf, and Mao Xiaoye didn’t think he was bluffing, actually witnessing his outstanding pop-up slow stunned her.

This was a wave she definitely couldn’t catch, yet Li Younan made it look as simple as calculating 1 + 1 = 2.

Ah?

The waves chased from behind, and his surfboard seemed embedded in the fast-rushing wave.

At this moment, Li Younan completed his first surf in life.

The wave’s shape was short, but the pop-up location was just right, and its speed was very fast.

The board beneath his feet felt like an extension of himself, the angle of the wave wall transmitted through his soles to his nerves; he just needed to adjust his balance slightly to change the surfing direction, and then he began cutting the wave.

His shortboard granted him high agility, and his surfboard easily sliced into the wave wall, the crisp sound of water being torn clearly audible, and the salty, wet spray splashed onto him with a cool sensation.

The wind generated by speed blew Li Younan’s hair backward, sticking to his head, and at this moment, all distractions were cast aside.

Li Younan felt as if he was merging with the wave, and he couldn’t help but shout out.

The scene of Li Younan cutting the wave stunned all the surfers on the beach, eliciting a chorus of exclamations.

One should know that the skills Li Younan displayed were at a very advanced level.

The wave Li Younan rode wasn’t a top-quality one, but it was incredibly fast.

In a very tight space, Li Younan continuously circled, cut waves, and changed directions. When his body met the force of the wave wall, the tremendous rebound even launched him into the air, instantly spinning, circling, and leaping.

Seeing this, Mao Xiaoye was dumbfounded, ”Huh, can you see such moves here?”

Despite having surfed for a long time, she still often stumbled off the board on small waves, and even struggled with longboard surfing. For Li Younan to perform such shortboard wave cuts and even jumps off the wave wall, she couldn’t even imagine it.
