Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

After resting for more than an hour, there was still no sign of traffic moving, and the jam behind kept getting longer.

At this point, Li Younan decided to send out the drone to see what was going on ahead.

As the drone’s hatch majestically opened and the drone slowly rose, it unsurprisingly caused a commotion among the other drivers stuck there, with many even taking out their phones to record.

Just from this moment, Li Younan felt that the over fifty thousand yuan he spent on the drone and automatic hatch was already halfway worth it.

The drone soared high but didn’t fly far before spotting the source of the traffic jam - a heavy trailer stopped in the middle of the road.

Although they now knew the cause of the jam, it seemed there was still no way to solve the problem.

But Li Younan could check the situation anytime from behind.

Repair personnel had already arrived, and Li Younan hovered the drone in the air with great interest, zoomed in to watch them fiddle with the trailer truck, explaining to Liu Li what the repairmen were doing on the screen.

Admittedly, the camera resolution of this drone was exceptionally high, making things very clear.

After listening for a while, Liu Li admiringly said, ”How do you even know about this?”

Li Younan replied, ”Did you just meet me?”

”No, I mean, I’ve always been curious why you even know how to fix cars!”

Li Younan said earnestly, ”For a guy, things like horseshoe repair, Sword Forging Competitions, Alone in the Wilderness, and old car renovations are inherent talents; with a bit of study, one can master them.”

”Really?”

”Absolutely.”

After watching the truck repairs for a while, Li Younan estimated it wouldn’t be fixed quickly, and so controlled the drone to fly around a bit, which was quite interesting.

Then he decided not to idle in the cockpit, returned to the living area booth, watching the drone footage on TV while having afternoon tea with Liu Li, taking two small cakes from the fridge.

Liu Li filmed a video of Li Younan using a gimbal camera; the shot started with a close-up of the cake, then panned to the window, recording the traffic jam outside.

”I’ve already thought of a highlight for the first video.”

”Isn’t there a lot of traffic jam footage recorded on the drone? While RV traveling on Highway 318, you encounter a jam shortly after starting... I’ll cut the jam scenes out and edit them with you leisurely having afternoon tea here; the contrast will definitely make the video interesting.”

”Really? Why do I feel like people might criticize this?”

”Hahaha.”

Honestly, having Liu Li around has the advantage that filming and post-editing require no effort from Li Younan.

Her sharp instincts can even help come up with highlights for each video installment.

Although the content filmed by Li Younan, who possesses top-notch photography skills, would naturally be better than Liu Li’s, it’s not like making a movie. With top equipment, Liu Li’s filming won’t be that bad, and it even adds a sense of reality.

If he were to film by his standards, it would lose the sense of reality.

Other drivers stuck on the road were truly frustrated.

Being stuck on the road is mildly annoying, but not knowing why is like ten times worse.

Especially not knowing how long this traffic jam would last; it’s truly frustrating.

Many drivers got out of their cars and walked forward, constantly looking around, but sadly the traffic line was too long, requiring at least one or two kilometers of walking to see the jam point up ahead!

If the stream of cars suddenly starts moving, it becomes troublesome, so no one dared to venture too far.

Counting this as the first practical use of the drone on Highway 318 by Li Younan.

When the drone’s battery was low enough just for the return trip, it sounded an alarm and flew back to automatically swap for a new battery in the hatch, then took off again.

Li Younan’s drone hatch had four batteries charging in rotation, ensuring his drone always had a fully charged battery to swap with.

Finally, just after using the third battery, the truck in front was repaired enough to move.

Seeing this, Li Younan quickly directed the drone back and returned to the cockpit himself.

He rolled down the car window, seeing many drivers nearby smoking leisurely; several even walked from way behind.

As soon as the traffic started moving, the suave posture of these drivers smoking contrasted sharply with their frantic return run.

The traffic jam on the road was just a tiny hiccup, and the journey continued.

...

Due to the traffic jam, they arrived in Luding over three hours later than planned.

Li Younan had been to Western Sichuan before, and most counties in Western Sichuan felt more or less the same, leading to a sort of visual fatigue; since Liu Li couldn’t get off the car yet, Li Younan didn’t linger much in Luding or Kangding, places he’d been before, and only took a quick look at the Luding Bridge and Dadu River Gorge before continuing on.

After leaving Kangding, came the first real challenge of this journey: crossing Zeduo Mountain.
