Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The shadow of Gongga’s satellite peak grew longer, overlapping with the shadow of the Zeduo Mountain’s remaining veins on the grass.

The sky gradually darkened, and the light on the snow-capped peak weakened. He turned on the car’s position lights, illuminating the road ahead and the distant snow-covered mountains stretching to the edge of sight.

Meanwhile, in the passenger seat, Liu Li closed her eyes, her long eyelashes gently trembling. Her breathing was somewhat erratic, yet the corners of her mouth retained a faint smile.

Li Younan glanced at Liu Li and couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

For Liu Li, completely overcoming her agoraphobia was still difficult at the moment, but she had shifted from passive encounters to bravely facing it head-on—like just now, she started to long for contact with the outside world.

Regardless, it was a good start.

Li Younan felt even more expectant about the upcoming journey.

If Liu Li could one day or at a particular moment completely break through her psychological barriers, this journey could become even more interesting.

...

Upon arriving in Xinduqiao, Li Younan went to buy some supplies to restock the fridge.

Soon after, he also received a checkpoint challenge.

Indeed, there was a system checkpoint in Xinduqiao, but the challenge area was somewhat exaggerated—the task was to capture a master-level photography piece at each of the four places: Mu Ya Sacred Land, Yuzi Xi Juli Temple Pass, and Zesang La, currently the progress was 1/4.

The time and effort required for this task were comparable to the previous one in the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Li Younan gradually realized that as he acquired more skills, the difficulty of completing the checkpoints increased... Of course, this was only relative to ordinary people.

After all, the requirement for a ”master-level photography piece” would stump most people.

But for Li Younan, with his photography abilities, it was just a stroll to visit these four places.

”Since we’re here, let’s not just rush through things.”

Li Younan said to Liu Li, ”This place is great for photography; the photo I took of you on the road from Mu Ya Sacred Land turned out pretty good. There are several places suitable for taking pictures, we can visit them, and if it suits...” He glanced at Liu Li, ”I’ll take one photo for you at each place; your brother would really like them.”

Liu Li blinked slowly and suddenly said, ”I want to see the photos you just took of me.”

”Take a look yourself.”

Liu Li picked up the camera and stared at the photos Li Younan had taken of her for a long time, then suddenly smiled and put it down: ”Oh, right, Li Younan.”

”Hmm? What is it?”

”Did you add that beauty’s WeChat today?”

”Beauty’s WeChat? Who?”

”I saw it!” Liu Li’s eyes flashed with certainty.

Li Younan was momentarily startled, then suddenly realized: ”Oh, you mean Chen Meiyou?”

”Why didn’t you take a photo of her? She’s quite pretty.”

”You think she’s pretty?”

”Pretty, yeah, she’s really quite pretty, and she has a big chest.”

”Ha... haha. It’s hard for me to comment on that remark of yours.”

”Isn’t it the truth?”

”Well... but I didn’t add her.”

”Didn’t add her?”

”She asked me to scan her WeChat; I scanned it. You’ve used WeChat before, right? Scanning doesn’t equal adding.”

Liu Li’s expression turned peculiar: ”That’s just playing with her, isn’t it?”

”Why, do you think I should add her WeChat?”

”Why didn’t you add it?” Liu Li didn’t reply to Li Younan.

Li Younan replied earnestly, ”I don’t like her.”

”Why don’t you like her?”

Li Younan glanced at Liu Li: ”Remember last night when we were camping on the outskirts of Kangding City?”

”Yeah, what about it?”

”They were camping near our RV site.”

”Yeah, I know.”

”That girl littered everywhere; I don’t like that.”

Liu Li was immediately stunned: ”Oh? Oh... that’s why.”

After a while, she raised her head, slightly pursed her lips, and smiled at Li Younan with a hint of relief.

She lowered her head again, looked at the photos Li Younan took for her, and suddenly asked out of the blue, ”By the way, can you summon the Dragon Balls with seven different photos from different places?”

”Maybe find the One Piece.”

”...”

”Ha...”

...

In the following days, Li Younan planned to stay in Xinduqiao.

In fact, the attractions around here are quite scattered, making it easy to disrupt the itinerary plans of travelers preparing to enter Eastern Tibet.

But fortunately, since Li Younan slept in the RV, it didn’t matter.

Having decided to check in around here, Li Younan simply ordered some things online—he planned to upgrade the vehicle in Xinduqiao.

They were still within Sichuan, and if they entered Eastern Tibet, it wouldn’t be so easy to get deliveries.

But just as they were about to start checking in, the weather didn’t cooperate.

Snow began to fall from the second day onward, well into March approaching April, and it showed no sign of stopping... But such weather wasn’t strange for places with altitudes between three and four thousand meters.

Local traffic police imposed restrictions on some roads going up the mountains, forcing Li Younan and Liu Li to pause their check-in plans.

Nonetheless, it didn’t matter much, as Li Younan drove the vehicle onto the Ten-Mile Gallery road, found a flat area, and planned to camp and stay for a while.

The supplies in the fridge were enough for them to eat for another ten days.

When the snow fell, the scenery along the Ten-Mile Gallery became even richer, like living inside a painting.

But the waiting wasn’t boring; in fact, it was more fitting to describe it as leisurely.

During the continuous snowfall, Li Younan wasn’t keen to go out. The RV was warm and comfortable, so he played games with the little beauty in her JK outfit or played a couple of chess games.

With his level of chess skill, Liu Li was unlikely to win.

Later on, Liu Li became somewhat annoyed and said, ”Cheater! Li Younan, you’re cheating! I won’t play with you anymore!”

Yet when Li Younan laughed and went off to do something else, Liu Li grudgingly carried the chessboard over and frowned: ”I thought of a new solution for that previous move... blah blah.”

Otherwise, they’d read for a while, with Liu Li editing videos on her own.

Quiet moments like these were quite frequent too, and Li Younan lay on the sofa reading a book without any decorum, while the sound of Liu Li editing videos wafted over from the computer.

Occasionally, Li Younan would put down his book and silently watch Liu Li’s silhouette for a while.

In a certain sense, looking at Liu Li from this angle allowed him to understand the outline of a young girl more clearly.

Was this girl like this before, editing videos for herself in her room?

This lifestyle, combined with the view of painting-like scenery upon opening the door, was hard not to feel content.

The snow continued for two or three days and finally stopped, though the restricted areas hadn’t been lifted.

So Li Younan still had no plans to leave.

More often than not, playing games was more fun.

They teamed up to beat a co-op game, which was originally designed as a couple’s perspective game. For Li Younan, it could only be seen as a cleverly designed level-clearing game.

He wasn’t very interested in cut-scenes or similar, but each time he wanted to skip them, Liu Li strongly objected.

Seeing the emotional plot segments, the girl even couldn’t help but cry her eyes out.

Amused by the scene, Li Younan couldn’t help but smile, only to be elbowed by an irritated Liu Li.

Two days later, most of the snow on the road had melted, and traffic restrictions were reportedly lifted.

But before that, the better news was that the equipment Li Younan ordered online had arrived.

At this point, Liu Li was inserting an oxygen tube into her nose, looking puzzled as she asked Li Younan, ”What on earth did you buy?”

Li Younan glanced at the portable oxygen machine and smiled slightly: ”You’ll know soon enough.”
