Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

”Me...? I guess I’m a travel blogger.”

”Oh, you mean the kind that shoots videos? We often make videos on Douyin too. What’s your Douyin username?”

”You should be able to find me by searching for Li Younan.”

Jiatuo was wearing plastic gloves, fishing out blocks of butter from the container, washing them with water, and then patting them into another stainless steel bowl.

Next, the butter needed shaping, but he planned to let his wife handle it.

After finishing these tasks, Jiatuo wiped his hands and took out his phone: ”Here, let me gain you a follower.”

Li Younan smiled lightly.

Jiatuo searched for the name ”Li Younan” on his phone, and instead of finding the account information, he stumbled upon some trending videos about him.

The first one was a news feature of Li Younan repairing a national treasure porcelain on CCTV. Jiatuo watched the news video of Li Younan and looked at him in astonishment, turning the phone towards him: ”Is this you?”

Li Younan nodded.

”Oh my, you’ve even been on national TV?”

Jiatuo lowered his head to continue scrolling through the search content, only to be utterly stunned by the next video.

The second video was a clip from ”Alone in the Wilderness” featuring Li Younan.

The video began: ”You may not have heard the name Li Younan, but anyone who’s faced off with grizzly bears won’t find it unfamiliar.”

”With only a bow and a hunting knife, he successfully took down one of the land’s most powerful carnivores, the grizzly bear, without injury. This iconic moment will surely amaze you. This most genuine battle earned this season the top spot in the series!”

”Next, I will use a 40-minute, 18,000-word script to detail how Li Younan built a beam-style rammed earth house by Chilco Lake in Canada, crafted ceramics, hunted wild bison, raised sheep, made butter... and ultimately went head-to-head with a grizzly bear, turning ’Alone in the Wilderness’ into ’Wilderness Vacation’...”

Jiatuo watched the video clip introduction, dumbstruck.

He looked up at Li Younan, then back at the video clip, confirming that this fair-skinned and clean-cut Han handsome guy was indeed the person in the video.

His mind momentarily went blank.

After a long while, he swiped the video further to see the scene where Li Younan outmaneuvered and ultimately defeated the grizzly bear, once again casting an incredulous glance at Li Younan.

This man seemed utterly ordinary, yet he could single-handedly tackle a grizzly bear?

It’s worth noting that in the Tibetan Area, no one dares to provoke the average Tibetan Bear, and the grizzly in the video, shot in first-person perspective, exuded a sense of menace due to its massive size, even through the screen.

Could the man before him really take down such a behemoth?

Only then did Jiatuo begin to understand why Li Younan was so skilled at cutting up the yak.

What kind of background does this person have?

Then he suddenly recalled a detail from the video—raising sheep and making butter.

He swiped through the progress bar and indeed found the clips of milking sheep and using homemade tools to make butter.

Watching, Jiatuo’s mouth twitched slightly.

Turning sheep’s milk into butter isn’t impossible, it’s just that sheep milk has low fat content, making it more labor-intensive to churn, and requires specialized equipment.

However, the skill displayed by Li Younan in the video, along with the sophistication of the butter-making mold he crafted, even made Jiatuo, a Tibetan man dealing with butter since childhood, feel inferior.

Li Younan, on the other hand, looked around with interest while Jiatuo was absorbed in watching the video.

After a while, Jiatuo put down his phone and stood up, sincerely reaching out to shake hands with Li Younan, saying humorously: ”Brother, you are a reincarnated war god. You’re incredible. You’re definitely not bluffing.”

Li Younan laughed heartily: ”Isn’t that what you call an eagle-like man?”

”Ah, yes, yes, it’s great to meet you! Come on, brother, let’s go inside the room, I’ll invite you and your girlfriend for lunch.”

Jiatuo was especially warm and hospitable.

Li Younan and Jiatuo left the butter-making room, where Liu Li was playing in the courtyard with Jiatuo’s daughter Zeren Nimei.

Zeren Nimei was teaching Liu Li Tibetan, and Liu Li was learning diligently.

”How am I doing?”

”You’re not doing well.”

”Ah! You should say, ’Sister, you’re really great.’”

”You’re really not doing well.”

Zeren Nimei frowned and earnestly critiqued Liu Li, causing Li Younan and Jiatuo nearby to burst into laughter.

Afterwards, Li Younan didn’t hold back, enjoying a lunch at Jiatuo’s place with Liu Li.

Jiatuo served them yak meat, cooked in a very primitive and simple method—boiled in water.

Even so, with chili powder as a dip, it had its unique flavor.

After eating for a while, Li Younan asked, ”Jiatuo brother, can you sell me some wood from here?”

Jiatuo asked curiously, ”What do you want the wood for?”

Li Younan smiled vaguely, replying, ”Just feeling a bit itchy, while staying here, I want to make something interesting...”

...

In the afternoon, the sun came out, melting quite a bit of the snow, but it made the ground, especially the slope, somewhat muddy.

Fortunately, it was okay; to reach the camp where Li Younan and others were staying, one could go via the highway and then pass through the forest again.

In the afternoon, Jiatuo was free of any tasks, so he took his daughter Zeren Nimei on his motorcycle and went to the camp with Li Younan.

He was particularly interested in Li Younan’s RV.

On the way back, Liu Li continued to sit behind Li Younan, holding him tightly.

Liu Li wore a helmet, her hair fluttering in the wind, her cheeks rosy, looking both excited and shy, but her hands held Li Younan tightly.
