Chaotic Sword God

After everyone had left, Jian Chen slowly opened his eyes as he sat on the ground. Looking at the empty surroundings, he could not help but shake his head.

Afterwards, he looked at the corpses of the two great elders from the Immortal Feather sect. Only after a moment of hesitation did he collect their corpses with some disdain.

As cultivators who had only reached late Immortal Emperor, they were even somewhat lacking to be fed to the Immortal Devouring Orchid.

Ever since the Immortal Devouring Orchid reached Immortal Exalt, the effects of Immortal Emperor corpses were almost negligible to it.

Afterwards, Jian Chen began to focus on comprehending the mysteries of the Way of the Sword in the stone tablet. Jian Chen was completely unconcerned with whether the people who had left would spread the news that he killed the two great elders of the Immortal Feather sect or not.

That was because the Skyscraping World was completely sealed in. People could not enter from the outside. As long as no late Immortal Exalts appeared, he could easily escape even if he could not defeat the other experts.

He also possessed the mask from the Illusionary Daemon race and the Divine Armour of Heavenflight. As he wandered through the Immortals’ World, he could assume various identities and disguises. He did not have to worry about being found by the Immortal Feather sect at all.

Without any concerns, Jian Chen remained by the stone tablet for several months.

By now, he was no longer alone. Apart from him, there was an Immortal Monarch. A Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal also managed to find this place. They sat several kilometres away from Jian Chen, also comprehending the mysteries in the stone tablet.

As for the Immortal Monarchs who witnessed the murder of the great elders from the Immortal Feather sect, all of them kept their mouths shut, perhaps because they were concerned about retribution from Jian Chen, or perhaps because they did not want to get involved at all. They did not mention a single word about the deaths of the two great elders.

Only Chi Yutian managed to successfully reunite with his father, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt, through the connection of his bloodline.

When he found the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt continued to accompany the Profound Spirit Master in their search for the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing in the Skyscraping World.

Chi Yutian called the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt over to one side individually and informed him about the deaths of the two great elders from the Immortal Feather sect in an extremely discreet manner.

“What did you say? Yang Yutian killed two great elders from the Immortal Feather sect?” When he received the news, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt was startled. He was in disbelief.

“It’s not just the great elders of the Immortal Feather sect. Based on his tone, he even claimed that he would kill the Immortal Exalt ancestors of the Immortal Feather sect in the future…” Chi Yutian was stern as he described Jian Chen’s attitude and tone truthfully, without sparing any details.

That was because he understood a certain principle very well. If this matter was handled inappropriately, their Yi Immortal City would be doomed.

The Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt immediately became extremely stern. He stood there in silence for a very long time. His eyes shone with uncertainty. Who knew what he was thinking about.

“Father, we can’t afford to offend someone like that. I think that we shouldn’t make ourselves such a terrifying enemy over an entry spot to the Skyscraping World…” Chi Yutian said sternly.

When he heard that, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt exhaled deeply. He said to Chi Yutian, “Tian’er, I already know what I need to do. You don’t have to worry. I have lived for all these years after all. I know how to consider the costs and benefits. Under these circumstances, I know the appropriate actions.”

......

…

Jian Chen had completely entered a meditative state as he sat in front of the stone tablet that recorded the secret technique. Vaguely, his spirit and consciousness seemed to merge with the stone tablet, becoming inseparable.

Under this state, his defences and senses of the outside world plummeted. He was basically completely defenceless.

However, he had three sovereign god artifacts to protect him, so even when he had already entered such a deep state, Jian Chen was not worried about his safety at all.

“This move is called the Hundred Superimposition Sword!”

Suddenly, a resonant voice rang out in the depths of Jian Chen’s head, filled with undefiable authority. It boomed through his entire soul and even made his mind sway.

In the next moment, a bolt of lightning seemed to shoot through Jian Chen’s head, illuminating the entire world.

He appeared in a chaotic space. It was like witnessing the creation of the universe, when everything had yet to come into existence. The endless laws and ways wove together, manifesting into a large, colourful world.

A towering figure hovered in this chaotic space, both illusionary and blurry. It seemed completely surreal. Its presence swept through the surroundings, giving off a sense of invincibility.

“The Skyscraping Sword Venerable!” Jian Chen’s mind shuddered, immediately recognising the true identity of the blurry figure. After all, he had seen the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s lingering will before. It was very easy for him to make the comparison.

At this moment, the Skyscraping Sword Venerable closed his hand, and the power of ways in the surroundings gathered to form a sword of blinding light in his hand. He slowly lifted the sword in his hand and slashed out at the empty space in front of him.

When he slashed out, numerous blurs appeared before merging together.

After the blurs had merged together, a terrifying presence radiated out. It was devastating, making the chaotic space tremble violently. The laws sank into a mess. Everything was pulverised.

The power of the slash immediately multiplied, reaching a shocking level.

The Skyscraping Sword Venerable was a Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. Even a regular attack from him possessed unimaginable power.

If his foundations had been further multiplied, then it would be absolutely shocking.

“The Hundred Superimposition Sword was not created by me. Instead, I obtained it through a coincidence in my early days. It took me many years before I even gained a basic grasp over it…”

“Each superimposition strengthens the attack by one fold. The Hundred Superimposition Sword can overlap a hundred times, so the strength of attacks can be strengthened by a hundred fold…”

“However, even at the end of my life, I was only able to superimpose the Hundred Superimposition Sword eight times in total…”

“After reaching the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Exalt, just the eighth superimposition was enough for me to rival the twelve heavenly emperors. If I could superimpose a hundred times… then… it would virtually be beyond imagination…”

The Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s booming voice rang out in the space there, filled with emotion and anticipation.

It was as if he was also anticipating just how startling the power of the Hundred Superimposition Sword would become once it superimposed a hundred times.

But unfortunately, by the time of his death, he had only managed to reach the eighth superimposition!

After demonstrating the Hundred Superimposition Sword again, the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s illusionary figure shattered into pieces with a bang. Each fragment contained the profound truths of the ways, hiding the various manifestations of the laws.

Jian Chen dismissed his thoughts and immediately tried to comprehend these fragments of the ways, but as soon as he made contact with the first fragment, he was overcome with dizziness.

The laws that these fragments touched on were far too profound. Even with Jian Chen’s current comprehension of the Ways of the Sword, trying to comprehend a single fragment seemed extremely difficult.
