Chaotic Sword God

After luring the Immortal Emperor away, Jian Chen returned along the same path as before. He did not care at all about the few God Tier heavenly resources he had lost.

He could be considered as quite wealthy now. A few low grade and mid grade God Tier heavenly resources could not even leave a mark on his wealth.

Afterwards, Jian Chen did not relax. He continued to patrol the area around the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, using the spiritual Qi as his eyes to pay close attention to the surroundings.

However, the Skyscraping World was sparsely populated. After over half a year, Jian Chen only found two cultivators who entered this region. Apart from the earlier Immortal Emperor, there was an Immortal Monarch, but Jian Chen managed to draw him away along a different path using the same method, making him lose his chance with the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.

“With the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique, I have an utter advantage in the Skyscraping World. Nothing that occurs within ten thousand kilometres of me can escape my senses,” Jian Chen gained a deep realisation of the secret technique’s wonders, which left him overjoyed.

Before long, Jian Chen returned to the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing after patrolling the area. He stood by the shining sword pool and stared straight at the sword-shaped fruit that grew there. His smile gradually deepened. “With the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s assistance, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing’s growth rate has increased substantially. It’s already reached a critical juncture of its growth.”

But when he thought up to there, sword intent flooded his face, immediately enveloping the entire cave.

The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing erupted with light, filling the surroundings with a special presence of the Way of the Sword.

In that split second, the presence reached a hundred kilometres away before expanding even further like an unstoppable storm.

Jian Chen was completely unable to stop the presence from leaking out. Even when he formed an area with the Laws of Space, the presence passed through with ease.

“Has it finished growing? And reached the eighth grade?” Jian Chen was surprised. He gradually became stern.

The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing created far too great of a disturbance. Even if he wanted to hide it, he could not anymore.

“I can’t stay here for long, or it’ll only lead to problems!” Jian Chen immediately decided, reaching out to pick the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.

“You can’t, master. Now is still not the time to pick the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. It’s still evolving. It’s in an extremely unstable state. If you pick it now, it’ll be equivalent to destroying it completely” the sword spirits said in time, stopping Jian Chen.

“I can’t pick it right now? According to this disturbance, it’ll probably draw over a few Immortal Exalts.” Jian Chen’s heart sank slightly. He looked at the evolving Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing and became even more grim.

However, he could not come up with any better ideas. All he could do was watch this place and constantly use the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique to pay close attention to the surroundings.

The presence of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing spread further and further. This was a high grade God Tier heavenly resource after all. The disturbance it created when evolving was far greater than usual. It was sensed by some cultivators nearby very soon.

“Hmm? This presence… seems to be some kind of heavenly resource. It’s actually spread so far, so it must be of high quality…”

“This presence came from the foot of the mountain. Quick, follow the presence. We can get there before others. As long as we’re fast enough, we can flee as soon as we pick it. No one will know what we’ve done…”

“This presence… is from a high grade God Tier heavenly resource at the very least. The presence has actually spread so far. Whatever, you need the strength of an Immortal Emperor at the very least to compete for something like this. I’m only an Immortal Monarch, so I’m not going to get involved in this mess…”

......

…

In the nearby region, there were already several Immortal Emperors rushing over. Some travelled alone, while others were in groups. Every single one of them covered a hundred kilometres with each moment, so they moved extremely quickly.

At the same time, a long staircase trailed up the side of a mountain. There were several tens of thousand steps to it like a path to the heavens that led to the top of the mountain.

The steps were the only way up to the top of the mountain in the Skyscraping World.

There were many mountain paths in the Skyscraping World, criss-crossing across the entire place like an enormous spider web.

However, the stone steps were the only path that led to the top!

“The Skyscraping World is very large. While the senses of our souls are suppressed, finding a person is indeed no different from finding a needle in a haystack.” Three figures sat on the stone steps, radiating with the pressure of Immortal Exalts.

The three Immortal Exalts were one of the five ancestors of the Heavenly Palace of Scaling Heights, the Profound Spirit Master, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt from the Hall Brilliance Heaven, and the Black Wind Immortal Exalt of unknown origins!

The speaker was the person who sat in the middle, the Profound Spirit Master.

The Profound Spirit Master paused for a moment. He glanced at the long trail of steps and smiled faintly. He continued, “However, this is the only way to reach the peak. Only by passing through here do they possess the right to contend for the seed of ways.”

“Since that junior called Yang Yutian has boasted that he will contend for the seed of ways, he will definitely pass through here. If I guard this place, I refuse to believe he won’t show up here eventually.”

“Yang Yutian, what exactly are you hiding? I’m very curious…”

The Profound Spirit Master confessed his intentions without holding back at all. In this world where strength was everything, the strong preying on the weak had already become all too common.

“Actually, I’m also very curious why the honourable daughter of a heavenly emperor, Xing Caijian, would treat Yang Yutian in such a special way,” said the city lord of the Yi Immortal City from the Hall Brilliance Heaven, the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt. He too was intrigued.

For someone like the Profound Spirit Master, there were not a lot of things left in the Skyscraping World that could interest him and looking for them was almost impossible. Basically everyone like them had come for the seed of ways, so they were not concerned at all about the time they wasted here. They all waited patiently.

As for the Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt, he completely followed the Profound Spirit Master in the Skyscraping World. He wanted to consolidate his connection with the Heavenly Palace of Scaling Heights.

They were not the only three people waiting on the steps. At various other locations, there were several other Immortal Exalts meditating with their eyes shut, but who knew whether they shared the same sentiment as the Profound Spirit Master or if they had other intentions in mind.

At this moment, a skinny, middle-aged man seated above the Profound Spirit Master opened his eyes. The moment he snapped his eyes open, they shone with blinding light.

A sword appeared out of nowhere above his head, radiating with light and releasing startling sword Qi.

The middle-aged man was delighted. Without any hesitation, he rushed down the mountain, vanishing with a few flickers.

His actions surprised the other Immortal Exalts seated on the steps, but very soon, they seemed to sense something. They all stood up in surprise.

“An extremely rare item of wonder has emerged!” the Profound Spirit Master cried out. With a flip of his hand, a high quality god artifact sword appeared in his hand. After communicating with the sword spirit, his eyes lit up. In the next moment, he flew out and rushed towards the foot of the mountain.

The Scarlet Fire Immortal Exalt and the Black Wind Immortal Exalt followed closely behind.
