Chaotic Sword God

“How bold of this little Immortal Emperor. To think that you’d even be bold enough to steal from her majesty the elder princess of the Heavenly Palace of Great Brilliance,” the Seven Antelope Ancestor bellowed. Despite utterly hating Jian Chen, he could not help but feel admiration for the boldness and daring that he showed right now.

After all, just which Immortal Emperor was bold enough to steal from a group of Immortal Exalt ancestors?

And which Immortal Emperor would be unfazed by the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance, stealing from the jaws of a tiger?

The Heavenloss Master did not take action. He looked at Jian Chen who was clad in the Divine Armour of Heavenflight and folded his arms slowly. He said coldly, “With the protection of something like this, you must have some background. However, before you tried to steal the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, shouldn’t you have first tried to understand who this item belongs to? Otherwise, rashly stealing it would only bring endless disaster to the organisation behind you.”

Jian Chen did not say anything. He activated the ability of the Divine Armour of Heavenflight again and immediately vanished without leaving any trace behind. He could not even be detected through the senses of the soul.

He had discovered the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. It was all because of him that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had sacrificed part of his lingering will, which allowed the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing complete its breakthrough in such a short amount of time.

However, no one cared about this. Without sufficient strength, even if treasures already entered their possession, it would only be stolen by someone stronger.

As a result, Jian Chen could only rely on his abilities to compete for the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing if he wanted it.

Seeing how Jian Chen had vanished again, the Heavenloss Master’s face immediately sank.

“You want to leave? It won’t be that easy! Leave behind the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing!” the Profound Spirit Master bellowed furiously. He struck out once again. His surging cultivation as a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt swept through the surroundings violently like a volcano eruption. It was particularly vicious, making the space in the cave twist violently.

Severely disturbed, Jian Chen was forced out from the space once again, but in that split second, he had already reached the entrance of the cave.

Spurt! Blood sprayed out from his mouth. He was already quite injured.

Despite only suffering from the shockwaves of the Profound Spirit Master’s indiscriminate attacks that affected the entire region, the devastating power was still not something that any Immortal Emperor could endure.

At this moment, the Profound Spirit Master had already locked onto Jian Chen at the entrance. Suddenly, he smiled mysteriously as if he had already recognised Jian Chen through certain details and special characteristics.

“Yang Yutian, oh Yang Yutian. I didn’t end up encountering you on the only way up the mountain. Instead, I encountered you here, and you even came to steal the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing like a fool. Haven’t you given me the perfect reason to capture you?” the Profound Spirit Master thought to himself. The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing was a gift for the elder princess of the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance. If he used this reason to move against Jian Chen, he would not have to worry about the qualms from the Heavenly Star Palace.

However, he did not expose Jian Chen either. He purposefully acted ignorant. As energy surged in his hand, his turbulent cultivation erupted once again, turning into a huge hand that descended from above in an attempt to crush Jian Chen.

Immortal Exalt Tan Yu who witnessed all of this clenched his fists firmly. His eyes flickered with hesitation and uncertainty. He wanted to assist him, but he also had second thoughts.

He could not afford to provoke the Heavenly Palace of Scaling Heights or the Profound Spirit Master.

Clad in the Divine Armour of Heavenflight, the Heaven-lifting sword appeared in Jian Chen’s hand silently with a flip, radiating with the power of a high quality god artifact. He did not try to dodge the Profound Spirit Master’s attack. As a matter of fact, he directly ignored it, only slashing the Heaven-lifting sword towards the Profound Spirit Master!

The Shadowless Lifetaking Strike!

“You’re a mere Immortal Emperor, yet you want to attack me? You’re out of your mind!” The Profound Spirit Master sneered in disdain, but in the next moment, his expression suddenly changed. His eyes were filled with disbelief as his body stiffened.

That was because a powerful sword Qi pierced through all of his defences, slashing through his body without any prior signs and causing him some injuries.

This attack disrupted his hand of energy that tried to overwhelm Jian Chen to a certain degree. It went from an attempt at restraint to just an attack.

With a boom, Jian Chen was slammed heavily into the ground, immediately spraying with blood.

But very soon, the injuries recovered at an unbelievable rate. Basically as soon as he had been smashed into the ground, he stood right up as if nothing had happened to him at all.

“Very impressive secret technique. With your mere strength as an Immortal Emperor, you actually managed to harm me. I sure have underestimated you a little.” The Profound Spirit Master’s face was ugly. With a wave of his hand, a huge net immediately appeared from nowhere, shining with dazzling light and hurtling towards Jian Chen with a powerful pressure.

As the net fell, the entire world seemed to be frozen. A tremendous and mysterious power seemed to seal up everything inside.

Jian Chen became stern. He had a very strong feeling that if the net caught him, he would struggle to escape.

By then, he would be forced to prematurely expose even more trump cards.

He did not hesitate at all. He activated the Divine Armour of Heavenflight once more, and he vanished again.

“Hmph, you won’t be getting away from me this time.” The Profound Spirit Master sneered. The high quality god artifact net suddenly closed up, completely seizing the space where Jian Chen resided. Everything in there seemed to be sealed up.

At that moment, everyone’s eyes were glued to the net. Because the concealment from the Divine Armour of Heavenflight fooled all of their senses, none of them knew whether the Profound Spirit Master had caught the person who stole the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing or not.

Standing in the crowd, Immortal Exalt Tan Yu’s heart had risen to his throat. He was extremely worried for Jian Chen’s safety.

“If fellow Yang Yutian truly does end up being caught by the Profound Spirit Master, I’ll have to go and find Xing Caijian. In the Skyscraping World, probably only Xing Caijian has the ability to save him,” Immortal Exalt Tan Yu thought. With his strength as a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, he was completely incapable of stopping the Profound Spirit Master. On top of that, as soon as he took action, he would become everyone’s enemy and be accused of a crime that he could not bear. As a result, he could only wait and see.

“Fellow Profound Spirit, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing is a gift for the elder princess. We can’t afford anything to go wrong here,” the Heavenloss Master said from the side. After gaining the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance as an ally, he did not even have to personally take action anymore. Someone would come and offer their services instead.

“Please don’t worry, fellow Heavenloss. I obviously understand the severity of the matter.” The Profound Spirit Master smiled gently before immediately making the net shrink, trying to force out anyone hidden in the space there.

However, by the time the net had shrunk to the size of a fist, it was still empty inside. There was not a single person to be seen.

The Profound Spirit Master’s face immediately sank. He bellowed furiously, “Dammit, he still managed to escape. However, he can’t be far. Chase after him!”

As soon as he said that, the Profound Spirit Master immediately appeared outside the entrance. He directly struck out with his hand. A terrifying storm of energy erupted, making the space within a hundred kilometres shake with great instability.

The Heavenloss Master lost his composure as well. His face became extremely ugly. He turned towards the Immortal Exalts around the sword pool and clasped his fist. “Fellows, please lend me a hand in retrieving the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing together. Once I obtain the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, I will definitely sing praises of your service before the elder princess.”

“Being able to serve the elder princess is our honour…”

“Then we’ll have to trouble the Heavenloss Master with putting in a good word with the elder princess for us in the future…”

......

…

Immediately, many Immortal Exalts answered his request before frantically rushing out. They all chose a direction and moved out.

Their method of search was simple and crude. They used their energy to strike the space, destablising the area in an attempt to force out Jian Chen.
