Chaotic Sword God

When he heard that, the Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor old man’s face sank. He snorted coldly. “Sir, who exactly are you? Which organisation are you from? You are so out of your mind that you don’t even take the twelve courts of heaven seriously. Aren’t you being a little too arrogant?”

However, the reply he received was a powerful strand of sword Qi that shimmered like a waterfall, glowing like a galaxy. As the strand of sword Qi sliced through space, it seemed to split the heavens from the earth.

The Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor old man’s eyes narrowed. From the attack, he could sense a chilling pressure, as well as the aura of death that even made his soul tremble.

“I-is this really an Immortal Emperor? Even those experts who have already reached the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor are nowhere near as shocking in might, right?” The Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor old man was in shock. Jian Chen’s attack actually gave him the impression that he was facing an Immortal Exalt.

That was because Jian Chen cultivated Chaotic Force. His battle prowess had always been great, enough to be regarded as invincible among his peers. Coupled with powering the Heaven-lifting sword with Chaotic Force, he could unleash eighty percent of the high quality god artifact’s power. As such, he completely surpassed the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor.

With the Heaven-lifting sword in hand, Jian Chen was already no weaker than newly-broken-through Immortal Exalts.

At that moment of life or death, the Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor tossed out an ancient talisman. The talisman burned in the air and released a shocking energy, immediately forming a barrier around him.

After using the talisman, the old man was very much pained, as that was one of his very few life-preserving measures. It could withstand the attack of a First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, which made it quite precious.

Boom! With a startling rumble, the sword Qi produced by the Heaven-lifting sword slammed into the energy barrier from the talisman, immediately making the barrier shake violently. In the end, it shattered after lasting for a few seconds.

However, before the barrier had shattered, the Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor had already fled without any hesitation, vanishing in a split second.

Jian Chen used the spiritual Qi there as his eyes, so he obviously could see him clearly, but he did not pursue him.

That was because even more Immortal Emperors had already entered the ten thousand kilometres range from all directions, rushing towards the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.

“Immortal Emperors form the majority of the people that roam the surroundings. The Immortal Exalts should all be higher up, so those that arrive here first will be Immortal Emperors. However, as time goes on, Immortal Exalts will come too.”

“If they’re just Immortal Emperors, then I can stop them, but if several Immortal Exalts come, I’ll be in trouble.” Jian Chen remained right by the side of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. He was rather worried.

“I hope the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing can finish evolving before those Immortal Exalts get here,” Jian Chen thought. He had already begun contemplating whether he should call out the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt for assistance.

However, once the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt showed himself, he would expose his secret of the sovereign god artifact divine hall.

That was because there were only so many Immortal Exalts that entered the Skyscraping World. Basically all of them could be identified. If someone appeared out of nowhere, it was very easy for others to deduce things.

The mask from the Illusionary Daemon race could deal with this issue perfectly, but he was in greater need of this heavenly resource!

At this moment, Jian Chen’s expression changed slightly. He had already noticed that an Immortal Exalt’s presence had entered his range of detection.

It was a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt that he had met outside. It was said that his original form was a Rainbow Antelope, so people called him the Seven Antelope Ancestor. He was a native immortal beast and the leader of a sect, but he did not have a particularly powerful background.

“This presence… seems to be a Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. Such a high grade Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing is extremely rare in the Immortals’ World. If I offer this Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing up to the Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords, that’ll be a colossal favour.” By now, the Seven Antelope Ancestor was only a few thousand kilometres away from the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. He wrinkled his nose as he became excited.

“The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing is useless to me, but I can forge a connection with the Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords through it, which is better than any of the fortunes here…”

“I have to obtain this Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing no matter what, even if I end up offending some organisations that I can’t afford to provoke.”

The Seven Antelope Ancestor made up his mind. His eyes shone with burning desire as he moved even faster.

……

…

At this moment, three Immortal Emperors arrived within a hundred kilometres of the sword pool at the same time. They all noticed Jian Chen who stood at the entrance of the cave with the Heaven-lifting sword while clad in the Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

The three of them glanced past Jian Chen before directly looking at the cave that led to the sword pool behind him. Afterwards, without uttering a single word, they drew their god artifacts and flew towards the sword pool at the same time.

None of them were fools. They all knew that the presence of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing had drawn over many people. They all wanted to obtain this heavenly resource as quickly as possible before fleeing, using the special environment of the Skyscraping World to cover themselves.

“All of you, piss off. A treasure like this is not something that the likes of you can even touch.” At this moment, the Seven Antelope Ancestor arrived. His presence as a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt flooded the surroundings. He struck out directly, swinging his hand at the three Immortal Emperors from afar.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

With three grunts, the three Immortal Emperors were all knocked away, spurting blood with pale faces.

“I am a great elder of the Daoist Sect of Immortal Fortune. Seven Antelope Ancestor, are you trying to make an enemy out of our Daoist Sect of Immortal Fortune?” a late Immortal Emperor middle-aged man among the three Immortal Emperors asked sternly.

When he heard him mention the Daoist Sect of Immortal Fortune, the Seven Antelope Ancestor clearly hesitated. That was a peak organisation he could not afford to offend.

However, his hesitation only appeared for a split second before being replaced by determination. “The treasures of the world obviously go to those who are capable. Stop trying to use the organisation behind you to threaten others. If everyone is supposed to follow that rule, just who can compete against the daughter of the heavenly emperor, princess Xing Caijian, this time?”

The great elder from the Daoist Sect of Immortal Fortune’s face sank. “Seven Antelope Ancestor, once I get back, I’ll definitely report this to the ancestor!”

The Seven Antelope Ancestor ignored him. He did not hesitate at all, immediately rushing towards the sword pool where the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing grew.

“You can move aside too!” As he approached Jian Chen near the entrance, the Seven Antelope Ancestor bellowed out and launched a palm strike. The pressure of an Immortal Emperor even made the surrounding space collapse!

That attack was enough to threaten any Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor!

Jian Chen did not retreat. Chaotic Force surged through his body wildly. The Heaven-lifting Sword shone with blinding light as he slashed out with his full strength!

Boom!

With a deafening boom, a wild storm of energy surged through the surroundings.

Jian Chen was knocked back. The Heaven-lifting sword in his hand dimmed considerably as his presence fluctuated. Even his organs churned.

The Seven Antelope Ancestor also came to a halt.

Jian Chen has forcefully blocked him with that attack.

“Are you really an Immortal Emperor?” The Seven Antelope Ancestor was astounded. He was a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, so his battle prowess was well beyond a First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt’s. He had never imagined that an Immortal Emperor could block his attack without suffering any injuries.

It was just a casual strike, but logically speaking, that still was not something that an Immortal Emperor could block.

The three Immortal Emperors who had been injured by the Seven Antelope Ancestor were surprised as well. They stared at Jian Chen in shock.

By now, Jian Chen had already recovered. The Heaven-lifting sword in his hand shone with blinding light as endless sword intent flowed around him.

“Since you won’t move aside, you better not blame me for what happens next.” The Seven Antelope Ancestor’s face turned cold. He formed a fist and struck out with a terrifying storm of energy.

The power behind his attack this time was beyond anything that his previous strike to compare to.

At the same time, Jian Chen immediately slashed out with the Heaven-lifting sword. He used the Shadowless Lifetaking Strike. The Laws of the Sword and the Laws of Space merged together. The sword slashed into space and bypassed the distance between them, as well as all of the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s defensive measures. The powerful sword Qi directly erupted inside the Seven Antelope Ancestor.

The Seven Antelope Ancestor’s face changed drastically. His eyes were filled with shock and disbelief. With a grunt, his body shuddered violently as a smear of blood flowed out from the corner of his lips.
